I made a wildly inaccurate prehistoric rpg It’s finally on Backerkit
I’ve been working on my game Year 100 Million B.C. for a long time now and it’s finally launching on BackerKit.
It’s a game about primitive humans trying to figure out a world they barely understand. Words are new, fire is rare and there's hungry mouths everywhere. The game is focused on exploration, everything seems new to a prehistoric human. Combat is fast and brutal, and the rules are based on Into the Odd, which I humbly think fits like a glove.
The 40-page zine includes the rules, generators for settlements, NPCs, locations, schemes, caves and encounters. The meat and potatoes of the zine is the wilderness sandbox with more than 70 keyed locations and caves.
I’ve done everything myself: writing, illustration, graphic design, and layout. It’s been a long process, and I’m super excited to finally get the thing printed and into people’s hands.
