North America (country/state in post) Hello People!

Hello all, i am a noob when it comes to mushrooms and i have zero knowledge on them. The reason for this is because my GF got a call from her mother and her mother is panicking because her and her Bf ate some mushrooms that they found out in the wild. She is in Central Illinois, USA. Around the Peoria, illinois area. Her BF is experiencing severe vomiting from eating the mushrooms but my GF’s Mother is not experiencing any symptoms from eating them. Could anyone identify these mushrooms to see if they have eaten something really bad?

UPDATE: The mushrooms were just coincidental with what was actually going on. He has a history of heart problems and a condition that causes his blood to be thick and toxic to his own body. He went to the emergency room because he was concerned about his history and it turns out that he is not sick because of the mushrooms but because his blood toxicity is too high and he needed a blood dump. So thank you to every person who responded in a positive manner instead of calling him and her mother morons! :)

I poked it but it just turned into ash. There were no signs of a fire nearby. It did however love the branch I found it on.

Found in Wallonia, Belgium. Flesh looks white when cut through. Unfortunately I do not have a photo of them in the ground. Could anyone confirm if these are true or false chanterelles?
Thank you!

Near portland, Oregon, USA. Know most. First time finding the white one in pic 8&9 though. Guessing it’s one of the poisony-die badly kind. Found white elfin saddle(no pics) and way too many other to post here. The cascades in the fall are so fun.

North America (country/state in post) Leccinum? Found at 4,000’ in Gifford Pinchot NF, Washington

Found at 4,000’ in Gifford Pinchot NF (Washington, USA) under young conifers, next to a road. Bolletus Edulis and Amanita Muscaria fruiting nearby.

Some specimens stained blue after cutting, blue went away after ~3 hours. Staining was light and inconsistent.

No photos of the stipe before trimming, but they were typical for other boletes I’ve harvested.

Mild to no odor. I sautéed a small test piece and it was similar to Porcini, but more mild. Tasty.

Looks like we’ve got some sort of leccinum. I’ve harvested and loved kings, admirables, and zellers, but never these. Seems like leccinum may be riskier and I’m leaning towards tossing the 10+ lbs we picked unless I can get some confidence in my ID.

Smelled unusual, not mushroomy, can't really describe it but a bit chemically. I don't have the best sense of smell!

Growing in open grass, near sedge and water plants, as well as some gorgeous shaggy ink caps in Yorkshire uk

Northwest Oregon Cascades, United States. Nearest trees were either fir or spruce, or maybe a hemlock. Flesh is firm and white inside, doesn’t immediately stain but gets kind of grey after a long time cut. Light blue staining on parts or the outside of the stem. Cooked pieces can turn kind of grey but did not turn black. Any hope of ID?

Caveats: Yes this is a bad picture and I didn’t get one in situ. Yes, I know red capped leccinum are nearly impossible to ID in the US. Yes, I took an incredibly stupid risk and ate a small piece without knowing the exact species, and yes it was really delicious and I didn’t get a stomach ache from it.

Found on the edge of a footpath next to a coniferous plantation. It was found smack bang next to a king bolete. I have heard this is common of the millers to grow in the same network. I have never eaten them myself but very intrigued. There is a smell of flour/cucumber, I am taking a spore print currently but know these have a toxic lookalike and would like some more eyes to help me!

Found among coniferous trees in Dorset. I believe these are bay boletes - but I would feel safer with a confirmation. Some might be past their prime though…

Hey everyone!

I got these mushrooms that are supposed to be “King Oyster” mushrooms from the farmers market in Novi Sad, Serbia the other day. The one does not look like it belongs there. It kinda looks a bit different. I’ve read things like the cause being drier conditions, etc, but I am not sure. Is it safe to eat? Thoughts?

Hello guys, I have been seeing this mushroom (think it is one) outside my home growing bottom of the tree ( located at mainroad) and the size made me wonder if it's actually a mushroom or what even is this ? (Location is chennai, india)

It's larger than an average hand and growing even during hot and humid days (I am not well aware of conditions required for mushrooms to grow) but this is growing evening during hot days of 40c.

Is this dangerous of pets or humans nearby ?

Hello, I was recently on a hike and found these. Obviously I didn't do a good job transporting them home but if anyone can still help ID before I throw them away them I'd be thankful.
