More than any other pre-existing story or genre for the Muppets to parody, I think a Muppet-ized spoof of Godzilla (as it existed in the 60s and 70s) and other monster B-movies of that era is an unconventionally great fit. Godzilla in that era was kinda just an oversized Muppet anyway. You know what the biggest problem with almost every Godzilla movie is? Nobody cares about the human characters; they just wanna see monsters do wrestling moves on each other. What better way to fix that than replace most of the human cast with Muppets?

I think this would work best if the Muppets played characters, not just themselves. Like how The Great Muppet Caper had them keep all their names but put them in roles unique to that movie. Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker would finally get leading roles as scientists brought in by the Japanese government to find a way to stop Godzilla. Alongside them are Kermit, Gonzo, and Fozzie (once again playing reporters), Ms. Captain Piggy (a US Navy captain obsessed with killing Godzilla), Sam the Eagle (her level-headed First Mate), and everyone's favorite, Lew Zealand (whose boomerang fishes may be the key to stopping Godzilla. I said they "may" be the key because they probably aren't)

I had no idea Dolly was an honorary muppet ! Award is on display at her new hotel in Nashville.

He had some pretty major ones:

• Baby Sinclair
• Clifford
• Splinter

I would pick Hoots. Always seemed like one of the coolest Sesame characters in general.

I'm extremely excited about this! for those who don't know, Sheldrick Wildlife Trust raises baby elephants (and giraffes, hippos, and other assorted African animals) who have been orphaned. it's a fantastic cause/charity and they do wonderful work.

Interesting read. I thought TMS was a component of Disney but it seems they aren't.

Basically Disney owns the characters and puppets but has to hire puppeteers via TMS. And TMS can't do anything without Disney. Legally speaking Disney could just drop the current performers and establish a new group within Disney.

I take film, tv, etc, and draw them as if they appeared on the cover of a manga magazine.

For the Muppet Show, I went with a different approach, and reimagined the series and characters as if they originated from traditional Japanese theater and entertainment, being Noh, Kyogen, Kabuki, Bunraku, Rakugo, Sarumawashi, Manzai, Sumo, Geisha and Taiko drumming, spread across 3 covers. 

Noh: Gonzo, Rizzo (based on characters from Kurama-tengu,) Kyogen: Beaker, Honeydew (based on characters from Bo Shibari,) Kabuki (Aragoto): Fozzie, Camilla, Kabuki (Wagoto): Sam, Bunraku: Scooter (lead puppeteer,) Pepe (stagehand,) Johnny Fiama, Swedish Chef, and Rowlf as puppets, Rakugo: Kermit, Sarumawashi: Sal Minella (based on the Japanese macaque species,) (Early) Manzai: Statler, Waldorf, Sumo: Bobo, Geisha: Miss Piggy, Geisha w/ Shamisen: Janice, Taiko: Animal.
