Hello, I an currently wanting to pursue electrical engineering at WVU in Morgantown Wv. I did some pre reqs at Marshall Uni but had to move out and get a job on the oil rigs to support myself and my girlfriend. My bills are high even with her working a part time job or full id need to make about 23-25 an hr. Most of my money goes straight to bills so not much saved could get books and pay for parking and such but thats about it. Im stuck in my lease til august 2027 and really want to get out of the rigs and pursue college in the spring. I know its a grind and I’ll need a full time job and also need a way to be able to make it to class times. Im not sure where in morgantown or surrounding areas would allow for such schedule with high enough pay. Even 21-23 could work but id have to like DoorDash or Spark on the side. Im willing to grind for what I want in life. I’m use to hard work and tough situations but just a new area to me, hard having no leads.

Hello! I feel a little lame posting this but I work from home and have multiple chronic illnesses that make going out to bars/events pretty difficult. I moved back to town almost a year ago and haven’t had a chance to make any new friends.

I’m a 29 year old woman, I’m married to my wife, and we have a cat and a dog. I work in the environmental field. I used to be extremely active (rafting, skiing, mounting biking, etc) but I’ve had 4 abdominal surgeries in the last few years and right now I’m trying to work my way back into easy hikes eventually.

Between Knight and Lytle. Something doesn't feel right when 2 of the existing commissioners (Bloom and Sikora) as well as the entire school board outside of Eddie Campbell are showing up at campaign events for Ron Lytle. Seems like the fix is in on this one.

It's been a few months but I had asked if there were any tech meetups around or near Morgantown and some of you had floated the idea of just starting one ourselves. Would you guys still be interested in starting one or is there an existing one people could join?

Are there any options for people who don’t have transportation to get to their voting center November 3rd? Or would uber/friend be the only options?

Was passing by cause me and my partner were going to see a movie and there were like 2 firetrucks outside and a 3rd on the way, is there like a fire or gas leak or something

My nephews are visiting me this weekend and as a childless person, I don’t know anything in town going on for Halloween this weekend (if any).

Does anyone recognize this person? The picture is old, but it's the best I can do. He's my brother, James, and he may be living/working in Morgantown. He may be working at a restaurant/diner/fast food place as a cook. Could be homeless. We (his family) love him and are worried about him. We don't live in WV, but we have confirmed that he was in Morgantown for a while. Not sure if he still is. If you know him or have seen him, please let me know. Thanks!

Pretty confused on the first amendment listed on the ballot, “This amendment provides that in all elections held in West Virginia only citizens of the United States who are citizens of this state are qualified to vote.”

In order to vote don’t you have to be a citizen and registered anyway?? Why is there an amendment needed ?

Does anyone still take there kids out Trick or treating? And no I don’t mean TRUNK or treating bc wtf is that. I understand you may not be in a safe neighborhood but put in the effort and take your kids to a nice place they have never seen before with lots of houses and other kids, where you can’t see the end of the finish line. But I also understand I could be not seeing a side that you see so please tell me your thoughts

Long story short my valve stems are too shallow for the normal air machines and I can’t use the ones at most gas stations (Sheetz, etc). I know I can go to a tire store and get them to put some air in my tires- but I would like to know if there’s a gas station around town that has this type of air pump for tires. Thank you

My daughter is in Math 3 during her senior year of high school and needs to pass to be accepted into WVU; does anyone have any recommendations or advice for finding a math tutor? She is at MHS they used to have after school tutoring but now they do not at least that's what she tells me. I'm open to all ideas.
