Might have been a bit generous with some more than others. What do you guys think?

In Seasons Beatings, the way Jeremy talks up his family Xmases you’d imagine some John Lewis advert picture perfect masses family gatherings, but given that

1) he’s an only child
2) his Dad is absent and
3) he seems to despise his Mum

It’s hard to Imagine his Christmases could have lived up to the way he talks about them in that episode, in fact when you think of it in those terms what you more picture Jeremy and his Mum pulling a single cracker in bitter silence over a table for 2. I guess it’s possible that he had loads of aunts and uncles (we know he has 1 of each that die during the series) and nephews and nieces who piled over every Xmas and his Mum would play the hostess but AFAIR that’s not directly stated in the text of the show.
