Fluorescence is an umbrella term for a rare condition where the body produces chemicals known as Fluorophores that can absorb UV radiation. After absorption, these chemicals become packed with energy turning excited and releasing their excess energy in the form of visible light and heat.

It’s suspected that there are multiple different reasons that result in fluorescence, hence it being labeled an umbrella term.

Different individuals may possess different colors based on the different chemicals their body may produce. (e.g., Derivative of Pyrene emitting green/yellow)

For BlackLight, he has extraordinarily rare Fluorophores that absorb all visible light, and only reflect UV light.

This condition is heavily understudied, so not much is known about its causation or effects on the body.

Some lose their fluorescents at an early age, others may randomly start showing symptoms later in life. Some never even find out they have the condition.

Unfortunately for BlackLight, in his late teens; doctors would discover his health rapidly deteriorating for unknown reasons. They predicted he would only have 1-2 decades left for his life.

It was super tiring and I'd probably regret not investing all this time into doing proper school assignments instead, but overall I'm proud of the result!

The episodes (which will be a 2-parter) isn't very Halloween-y, but I can't really draw Mint-chan going trick or treat so. Also I fully understand that I set this trap on myself but Mintku being voted for the costume was soooo basic 😔 but it was fun drawing the other characters also dressing up as Vocaloids.

As his name suggests he is based on a colour wheel

His personality is random as his emotions and personality shift depending on his current colour but his main personality traits are that he is friendly, vibrant and extroverted

He is 21 years old and that's about all the info I have for him right now

Posting it here early because I wanna wait till OC weekend rolls around just to be safe

Tried my hand at the Mint Chan art style… and I also drew what I imagine she’d look like in Juno’s Art Style.

(I swear her colors are right in game, I had to take a picture of my Switch)

Got inspired by one of the costumes from the official Halloween post, also an excuse to draw Cherry and Lemon again after the oc contest.
