Its inspired on a real life building, located in New York City on 41 Park Row.
Made in 1888-1889 and designed by architect George B. Post.
Its the old headquarters of the New York Times, and is now owned and occupied by Pace University. They now use the many rooms for classrooms, libraries and study halls.
The building isn’t fully done yet, as i want to continue it sideways down the road.

Hi all,
Just getting into the Java version of Minecraft to start a new city in Creative. Wondering if there are any good recommendations for texture packs or other mods to help enhance the way my city looks. As a note, I also plan to have suburbs, beaches, etc., so it would be best if the blocks had some versatility for that. I also know nothing about shaders, but it sounds like they could help?

The mall and the interiors are missing, I assume that it will be finished in around a week or so

The First Square in Chinatown is complete, but there’s much more to come!
I’m planning to add a Chinese theater inspired by the famous TCL Chinese Theatre in L.A., as well as the headquarters of a Chinese gang.

I’ll probably upload more shots later, this is just a main overview of the town.

I've been playing Minecraft for over 8 years, and I've been working on my world for a long time, but honestly, I feel like my building skills haven't improved that much. I often find myself using the same basic shapes over and over again, and I struggle to make my buildings look more varied and detailed.
I've only been using Axiom and Effortless Building for a few months, since I used to play on Bedrock Edition before switching to Java.
Even with these tools to help me, I still feel like I'm stuck at the same level, and I'm a little embarrassed to share some of my builds after all these years.
I've decided to share a few screenshots of my city to get some feedback. I'm open to constructive criticism and any advice that could help me improve, especially when it comes to building shapes, roofs, facades, depth, and details.
Thanks in advance to everyone willing to help!

What change in my city:
Old map
URS map - 200gb map +(over 100gb of DH)
- 7-9h walking from side to side
- Convert to bedrock 97gb 2week convert
New map
Elgnis map -100gb map +(over 70gb of DH)
- 2-5h walking from side to side
- Convert to bedrock 40gb 4day convert
New map are smaller less storage consumption it making this easier to convert world to Minecraft bedrock faster in the future
What’s new/ changes in my city
- Most of building is being imported to new map
- New road layout
- new highway interchange
- new house area
- all building must have elevator & stairs
Plan: focusing on faster development more building more houses which mean (no interior and less realistic) as I’m building alone

Today, I’m introducing Stairway Tower, the third-oldest building in Riverside!
It’s also the sixth-tallest building in the city.
If there’s another building you’d like me to feature in a future post, feel free to let me know in the comments! 👇

I’ve been working on a city in creative for the better part of 6 years now. I’ve started adding a lot more small details rather than expanding out lately, and one thing I’ve started doing to add detail and really improve the realism is using maps to create detailed smaller items, ranging from signs for hotels to ATMs. These photos are just a few of the things I’ve done, posting for inspiration. They are, in order:
• A map of the metro system
• A pictographic sign for metro stations
• A transit ticket kiosk inspired by Ventra kiosks in Chicago
• A sign for fictional hotel “Wyatt Place” inspired by Hyatt Place
• An ATM for fictional bank “Race Bank” inspired by Chase Bank
• An ATM for fictional bank “Gruntington Bank” inspired by Huntington Bank

It's been about a year since the last time I posted Apio, and many things have changed. Not many new buildings, and the overall footprint of the city has expanded, though not too much. I have expanded the road network to reach places I would like to develop, but most of my work has been on the road network itself, a couple parks, and the new metro.
The first metro line will be a loop around the city center, with additional lines sprouting out to the surrounding areas, and one which will connect to another city (which doesn't exist yet). The stations in this post are all from the central loop. Three of the five stations have been built.
Thoughts and constructive criticism are always appreciated!

This is my first big city I’m building with mods. It’s in its early stages so it’s not so big for now. I’m gonna add more details to the buildings while the city progresses. It’s supposed to look similar to Berlin. Do you have any tips on how to make the city better?

Here’s an early look at the progress on Chinatown! The first building is an older North American Victorian-style structure, predating the future buildings, which will feature highly stylized Chinese-inspired facades.
The main inspiration for this district will be New York City’s Chinatown.
