I have an Engineering Math test coming up on Monday, which conflicts with a concert I've had tickets for since July. I've been looking forward to this concert and really don't want to miss it. Is this worth/acceptable to use an MSAF for? And if I fill out an MSAF, what would the reasoning behind it be? The course has a option to request an alternate test date, but all the options/reasons to select are more serious stuff, and I don't know if it would get accepted if I told the true reasoning behind it. Any help is appreciated.

Like everyone else on this subreddit, I got cooked w a high 70s grade, which maybe I shouldn't freak out because the class avg was a 71. But I do want to do better! I actually don't know what happened. I redid the past tests (around 7 years worth), the coursepack, went to office hrs and I feel like I am just stuck at this grade for future tests. This is supposed to be the easiest test, soo if I'm relying on the other grading scheme, I need to get at least above an 85 avg on the other 2 tests to 11 the course/ Then there was someone on a gc saying that multiple people got 100 and ik two other ppl who probably did better than me AND did less work .I feel soo dumb. And why are all the mcs worth 2 marks :(. This feels like high school all over again..

The syllabus said they’re not mandatory, i was wondering if anyone recommends to go? I commute and skipping them would let me get home much earlier, but if they’re really beneficial I might stay. So far I’ve done the labs on my own and only went once to ask a question, didn’t stay for the whole thing. I know they don’t let you in if you’re late either and it’s right after a lecture I have in another building.

TAKE ME OUTTT OF HERE? i cant wait for second term for the materials portion of it , i can see how all this mechanical knowledge will be useful in chemical as well but the extent they seem to be taking it to seems to be for other fields like its pissing me offff . and the people who want to go into mechanical electrical computer eng seem to already have the background knowledge for it because of their interest so im always a little extra ??? i feel like im disappointing my 1p13 group because im always focused on trying to understand than giving my input?? i dont know, i did not sign up for this 😭😭
