Favorite place to get fried pickles?

We use to get the fried pickles at strange brew, but they changed their menu and no longer have them. Looking to find some other great spots to enjoy our favorite appetizer!

Bad Credit and Housing

Hello!

So my parents (67, 71) and I (35) are in a rock and a hard place. The owners of our home decided they want to remodel and won't renew the lease. For the last few weeks we've been looking everywhere and it feels impossible to get a place. My dad had a major heart issue a couple years ago and because of that whole thing they ended up in debt because his job didn't offer disability. He's great now but their credit has tanked and they're back on track to fix it. They were even planning on moving in the coming summer once things were all right. This is messing things up. My mom is disabled and my dad works full time (the man will never retire but hey it's good for his heart). They bring home over 8k a month with everything combined. I would co sign but I lost my job in a layoff and I had to move back home after draining everything. A series of unfortunate events 🙄

Anyhow, has anyone had a similar experience? What did you do? 211 won't help because they make too much. They don't qualify for low income house because they make too much. They've offered to pay more than the deposit but they don't. They have a clean housing record (they've lived in this place 11 years!) And have never been convicted of a crime or anything like that. They're open to living in Manch, Hooksett, Candia, Londonderry, Derry, Nashua, Merrimack, Bedford, Milford... really anywhere my dad can get to work in Nashua in about 35 minutes -- even towns in NE Mass.

Thanks!

Local barber here, been cutting in Manchester for 4 years. Wanted to introduce myself.

Hey Manchester, I’m Christian. I rent a chair at Queen City Barbershop (100 Willow St) and run OnlyFades by Christian. I trained at Get Faded Barbershop and went out on my own about two years ago.

I do fades, tapers, lineups and beard work, and kids are always welcome. I’m a dad, so I get it. I also just added a $20 facial with steam, scrub and hot towel, on its own or with a cut.

Book online anytime on Booksy: https://onlyfadesbychristian.booksy.com

Happy to answer any questions below. Thanks for reading!

Before posting, open both links to check they load, since Booksy may take a little while to switch to the new address.

Looking to propose to my girlfriend in the NH area

Hey everyone! I hope you’re doing well! In less than a week I’ll be flying out to New Hampshire to surprise my girlfriend and propose. I’m super stoked for everything that me and her friends have planned to finally come to fruition, but I recently saw some stuff that got me a little nervous. My original intention was to propose at Artist’s Bluff as I saw the view and thought it looked STUNNING. I recently saw a video of how busy it gets this time of year and how bad the parking and line is to actually get up to the lookout spot. From anyone’s experience, do you think it’s worth trying to still do this artists bluff location or should I find a spot that will be less crowded. Thoughts? Thank you in advance!

Event Comedy from Daniel Simonsen at the Moka Pot Tonight(discount inside)

TLDR: tickets and more info at www.nhcomedy.com use promo code "reddit15" at checkout for 15% off

NOTE TO ADMIN(S)/MODERATORS: One of my posts was recently deleted after a user commented "can you ban this account. they are always advertising" I reviewed the group rules. I don't believe ticketed events fall under "buying or selling. I noticed a lot of other events posted in the sub. I did notice my post frequency was creeping up to a breakneck speed so I will slow it down, but I'd love to be able to continue to promote these events. They take place in a locally owned and operated business and despite bringing in nationally touring comics I am consistently booking our local up coming comedians on the shows and I run an open mic weekly that gives a home to 25 comics working on their craft. There is 0 profit in any of this. I'm fairly positive its been a net loss. I do this for the local comedy community and the local comedy community in general and its really hard to keep it going. Any place I can promote means a ton. Please allow me to continue. I tried messaging privately, but didn't get a reply. Thanks for reading

This is tonight! Daniel Simonsen is an NYC Comedian with appearances on the late night shows of Seth Meyers and Stephen Colbert. He's a voice actor on adult swim. He's a regular at the Comedy Cellar. He was in the feature length film "Let's Start a Cult" starring Stavros Halkias. And he is coming to do stand up on our little corner of Hanover St in Machester at The Moka Pot.

Snow plow warning lights?

I see a lot of contractors running an Amber/Green/White mix of lights on their plows and even construction pickups. Does the state not generally enforce the laws about green being security only and white prohibited all together? For context I’m in southern New Hampshire. TIA

Looking for friends and fun in Manchester!

Hi:) I saw a similar post in here so I thought I would try too. I’m 23, moved here to Manchester a couple months ago from across the country for work and I would love to find some like minded people to get to know and explore the city with. I’m huge on hiking, fitness, going to movies and live shows, board games, and just getting up to shenanigans.

I’m a guy, very progressive, not interested in dating just want to find friends to meet up with and have fun. I’m def 420 friendly but I don’t smoke much myself anymore

NBT Bank

With a trip leaving tonight I went to the bank to get some cash last night using my Discover debit card at NBT bank on Canal St in Manchester NH the ATM ate my card.

Despite being willing to confirm my identity including calling my bank or however was asked of me, despite having presented a state Id which should have been enough, and despite my clear need I was denied the return of my debit card due to policy. My bank is willing to replace the card but I will not get it until I return from my trip over the weekend. If I wasn’t going anywhere sure no big deal no problem but despite the circumstance this bank would not budge while they claim it is for security my card is now in someone else’s hands which is not anyone I know and it is not in my banks hands. Security risk bullshit. I WOULD NOT TRUST NBT BANK ON CANAL STREET IN MANCHESTER NH WITH DIRTY TOILET PAPER.

Hi! I’m 25f moving to Manchester for work! I love pop music, pop culture, tv/film (amc a lister) and would love to make some likeminded (preferably) girl friends and build a community in the city! Looking for friends, not a relationship, no creepy dms. I’m very progressive, 420 friendly although not a huge stoner anymore. Would love to explore what New Hampshire has to offer! I like hiking, exercise and I have a cat! Love the Celtics, comedy, college basketball, reality tv and MLB! Moving from the Midwest so any midwesterners hmu!! :-)

Everett turnpike

I started a new job and am communicating south and back on the Everett turnpike. Started about a week ago and almost every day has been close to stop and go traffic most of the drive...

Is it always like this? Do I just need to budget time and expect severe traffic daily? Thanks

Starlink in Manchester?

When I first moved to Manchester, I had gotten Xfinity Wi-Fi. However when they started charging me over $150 a month, I decided to switch to Fidium. I work from home and a strong Wi-Fi connection is important to me. If you have Fidium you'll know that the Wi-Fi is experiencing periodic outages over the past few days. Fidium won't give any timeline for resolving this problem, and honestly its unacceptable for someone who relies on strong wifi to do their job properly

I'm looking for alternatives and was wondering if anyone switched from Xfinity or Fidium over to Starlink for their main Wi-Fi provider? If so, Have you experienced outages in this area and do you find the connection to be more reliable than Xfinity or Fidium?

Looking for band who wants to record

🥁 Looking for Serious Musicians to Start a Band and Record an Album! 🎸
I’m a drummer who’s been playing since I was 8 years old, and I also write my own lyrics. I’m looking for talented, dedicated musicians who are passionate about music, open to playing different styles and genres, and serious about creating something real.
I have a plan for recording an album, along with a ton of original lyrics I’ve written that I want to bring to life. I already have around 7 tracks in the works, and I’m looking for the right people to collaborate with, experiment with different sounds, and turn these ideas into finished songs.
I also have a bunch of equipment available for us to use, so we’ll have some of the tools we need to start creating, rehearsing, and recording.
I’m not just looking to jam occasionally. I want to find musicians who share the same drive, are willing to put in the time and effort, and genuinely want to work together to produce an album.
If you’re a talented guitarist, bassist, vocalist, keyboardist, or another musician who takes music seriously and wants to be part of an original project, I’d love to hear from you.
I have the ideas, the lyrics, a plan, and the drive. Now I’m looking for the right people to help bring it all to life. Let’s make something real. 🤘🎶
Message me if you’re interested!
