24F looking for friends in Dublin NSFW

Hey all,
I'm 24F. I moved to Dublin from Limerick about a year ago for work. It's been tough trying to find friends. My interests are Xbox games, pc games, music producing, watching football (Liverpool supporter), going for coffees or walks (which I will do but I will complain the entire time lol). I'm not looking for a relationship just friends. Let me know if you're interested.

34M | Monaghan NSFW

How's things lads!

34, living in Monaghan, married with a wee girl and working from home most of the week.

Realised lately that my social circle is fairly limited, so thought I'd chance my arm on here and see who's about!

Enjoy cooking, sports, a bit of gaming, a decent coffee, stand-up comedy and generally talking absolute shite about anything and everything.

Would be great to get chatting to a few sound people, have a laugh and maybe eventually meet up for a pint, coffee or whatever.

Ideally someone around Monaghan or the surrounding counties, but not overly fussed where you're from either.

Anyway, enough of my sales pitch. Give me a shout if any of that sounds remotely interesting 😂

24M looking for mates to hang out in Dublin NSFW

Hey! I'm based in South Dublin and just hoping to meet some new people.

I mostly game and read, although the reading tends to come in bursts ahahah, playing Ball x Pit recently and for TV shows I'm currently watching Adults. The last book I read was Days at the Morisaki Bookshop. I have a pc and a switch :P

Would be great to grab a pint in Spoons, get some food or even just play a few games online and maybe meet up sometime down the line.

Feel free to drop a message!

[F4R] 38F | Seeking feral bookworms, fellow weirdos and potential accomplices in world domination. Platonic, unfortunately for my enemies. NSFW

Right. Let's get the obvious out of the way.

Yes, I look like I'm about to curse someone's bloodline. No, I'm not angry. That's just my face. Take it up with my ancestors. I've been compared to Wednesday Addams since Christina Ricci was still terrorising summer camps, and frankly, I've stopped considering it an insult. At this point, it's a hereditary condition.

Anyway. I'm Morrígan. 38, currently dividing my existence between Porto and Dublin. Mother to a small human, servant to a dog. Both outrank me in this household, although only one pays absolutely no attention to what I say. I'll let you guess which.

I have ADHD, which means a perfectly normal conversation about the weather can end with me explaining medieval Irish funerary practices, the political implications of a particularly unfortunate royal marriage, or why some ancient god was an absolute bastard. I won't remember how we got there. Neither will you. That's half the fun.

I grew up in Geneva, so my accent is an international incident. Portuguese, French and English are fine. Spanish is passable, German is an ongoing embarrassment, and I'm currently attempting to learn Gaeilge, which is going about as well as you'd expect from a language where half the letters appear to have been invited purely for moral support.

My dog gets most of the practice. She's yet to complain. Excellent teacher. Terrible conversationalist.

A few things about me, since apparently we need to establish that I'm a functioning member of society. Debatable.

I write. Poetry, fantasy, horror, dark romance, and whatever other literary atrocities my brain decides to produce at three in the morning. My characters rarely have a pleasant time. Neither do my readers, presumably. Nobody has filed a formal complaint yet.

I also play flute, bass and guitar, and I sing. Eight years of classical training, only to end up making music that sounds like someone summoned a woodland deity and forgot to read the terms and conditions.

There are now over 750 physical books in my house. Seven hundred and fifty. I don't have a book-buying problem. I have a shelving problem. Completely different medical condition. At this stage, if there's a fire, I'm saving the first editions and letting natural selection sort out the rest.

I'm a practising pagan, too. Altars, rituals, the occasional conversation with deities who have significantly worse reputations than I do. No, I don't sacrifice people. Have I considered making exceptions? Legally, I'm advised not to answer that.

Photography is another obsession. Digital, analogue, landscapes, ruins, abandoned places, peculiar little details most people walk straight past. Give me an old cemetery, a ruined abbey or a suspicious-looking forest and I'll be entertained for hours. Ireland is particularly accommodating in that department. Apparently the country looked at several thousand years of history and decided demolition was too much effort.

I love cooking, proper coffee, medieval fairs, mythology, history, science fiction, horror films, true crime documentaries and morally questionable fictional men. The fictional part is important. Real-life red flags are considerably less entertaining when they have your phone number.

I also have a deeply unreasonable attachment to my books. If you borrow one, I expect it returned in the same condition, preferably accompanied by a written apology for having deprived me of its company.

As for my personality?

Flawless, obviously.

But in the interest of transparency, here's what previous witnesses might tell you:

- I can disappear into a special interest for six hours to two weeks, forget food exists, then return to civilisation with seventeen new facts nobody requested.

- I usually side with the villain. The hero has plot armour, divine intervention and a suspiciously convenient prophecy. The villain had to develop an actual strategy. Respect the work ethic.

- My sense of humour is dark, dry and occasionally so inappropriate that even I have to consider whether the joke should've stayed inside my head. It rarely does.

- My resting face has convinced strangers that I'm either furious, depressed or plotting a murder. Sometimes I'm just thinking about soup.

- I'm an introvert, not a hermit. There is a difference. Hermits don't spend this much money on coffee.

- I have very little patience for performative politeness, intellectual dishonesty or people who confuse being loud with being interesting.

- I can discuss literature, history and mythology for hours, but ask me what I had for lunch yesterday and suddenly we're dealing with classified information.

Who am I looking for?

Bookworms. Nerds. History enthusiasts. Mythology obsessives. Neurodivergent chaos goblins. People with niche interests, questionable humour and enough curiosity to make a conversation genuinely interesting.

The sort of people who'd happily spend an afternoon wandering through a bookshop, exploring a medieval ruin, discussing whether a particular historical figure was misunderstood or simply a colossal prick, then end up in a pub arguing about something that happened in 1172.

Bonus points if your TBR pile constitutes a genuine structural threat, you've ever been described as intimidating when you were literally just standing there, or you also feel more at home among old books and dead people than at a networking event.

You don't need to share all my interests. In fact, please don't. I want new rabbit holes to fall into. I've already exhausted several of mine and the others are getting expensive.

A few ground rules, because apparently civilisation was a temporary experiment.

Please don't open with "hi", "hey" or "wyd". I'm not expecting a medieval manuscript illuminated in gold leaf, but a complete sentence would be a promising start.

No burner accounts, unsolicited anatomy lessons, sexual propositions or men who interpret "platonic" as an elaborate challenge. I'm not playing hard to get. I'm not playing at all. This is a friendship post, not an audition for the role of my next regrettable life decision.

Europe preferred because I'd genuinely like to meet people eventually. Ireland, particularly gets priority processing. Porto is also very much on the table.

And if you're elsewhere, that's fine too. World domination is technically a remote-friendly position.

So. Tell me something interesting.

A historical conspiracy you could defend in court. A book that permanently altered your brain chemistry. A mythological figure you'd defend despite overwhelming evidence that they're an absolute menace.

Or just tell me what you're currently obsessing over.

I don't particularly care if it's obscure, morbid or completely ridiculous.

Actually, that's probably preferable.

Platonic only. Friendship, books, questionable decisions and eventual world domination.

The usual wholesome stuff.

30 F Louth- looking for friendly chats NSFW

Hi all, happy Saturday! I’m 30 years of age from Louth. I have 2 kids. Working full time (& trying to balance a college course too) & looking for someone to chat to in the quiet moments of the day! Before bed time, early mornings etc! Sometimes, replies may be quick and sometimes, replies may be slow. But I will always get back to you if the conversation is somewhat interesting 😊 I can come across quite dry sometimes in conversations but that is totally on me as I may be tired or busy or something but just taking a moment out to try my best to reply! I’m better at answering questions than asking them!😅 life can be a bit hectic rn so there aren’t many pastimes or hobbies involved. However, I do like gaming although I haven’t gone near it in a while. Dead by daylight was my latest fave. I also like to just chill watching passive shows such as comedies or reality TV in my spare time. Not too exciting I know! I also love long walks on the beach! :) please don’t message me asking about dating or sexual things as that’s not the point of this sub🥲 thank you ❤️

33 M Ireland - Friendly WFH chats NSFW

Hello there! Happy Friday eve and I hope you're doing good. Trying this one again!

I'm 33, M from Ireland. I spend most of my week working from home, so I'm always down to make a new friend or two! Born yapper over. I'm laid back, super easy to talk to and full of Irish charm and wit haha

My hobbies include:

  • gaming
  • houseplants (proud plant daddy)
  • music and gigs (elder emo and also play guitar)
  • sports and gym
  • cooking (although I'm a sucker for donuts and coffee)
  • getting outdoors
  • reading
  • movies/tv/podcasts
  • alt culture like horror, tattoos, weird stuff, etc
  • thrifting
  • lego

It's not a deal breaker if you don't share all the same interests, it's very much about the vibes. If you'd like to chat, please introduce yourself with your age, gender and location and a bit about yourself. All I ask is that you're 18+ and not a creep.

You don't have to but if you're feeling creative, drop me your best dad joke or 2 truths and a lie to break the ice!

Hope to hear from you but have a good day if I don't! ✌️

I'll add my hobbies as we all do. I love music both listening and playing (guitar and singing) as well playing games (casual), watching tv or movies including documentaries including random longer form YouTube videos. I watch sports as well (mainly F1 and Rugby), I love cars recently enjoyed the new series of the Grand Tour too. I'll go for walks regular even to unwind but want to get back into swimming as well to get fitter. I'm not the type for gyms or clubs but I do like going to the pub especially if there's live entertainment. This naturally means I like a drink too, I am Irish after all.

I've got an odd/dark sense of humour. I'm the type who with have terrible dad jokes even if they aren't funny especially if it's got a pun in it but can get quite dark or just banter too. I do tend to see what vibe someone before deciding how far in which way to go. I'd pretty much chat about anything no matter how deep or controversial it is so long as it's a balanced/reasoned and I've got any clue about the subject matter but I don't mind learning either. We don't have to agree but being respectful is important. Ideally I'm looking for long term chats but probably won't be every day as I'm not always able to get on here.

I'd be interested in chatting with voice as well presuming we get along and I'm able to at the time.

24F looking for a friend in Dublin and/or online PC gaming NSFW

I’m 24 from Limerick, I’ve recently moved up to Dublin and have been finding it hard to find friends. I’m a lesbian and in a relationship, please don’t have any other intentions as I’m not interested in anything other than friendship. I’d get along with anyone I feel, especially those like myself with AuDHD.

I’m chilled out and easy going, I have a PC, it would be cool to find other gamers on here. I’m also a Tarantula and gecko keeper, so any fugitive spiders on the loose in your gaff, I’m your gal. If I’m not on the PC I’d be watching a movie, I love westerns, especially John Wayne films.

Like in the title, I’m also looking for online PC gaming friends from anywhere really. I could list the games I own if asked, I’m also looking to find new games to play as I’m currently obsessed with the isle and I haven’t played anything else in about a year over this damn game.

I’m not the biggest drinker, though I do smoke j’s regularly so that would be something you’d have to be alright with as I know not everyone is alright with people smoking it. Though meeting up in a pub is my ideal meet up, I just won’t be able to finish a pint as I’m 5’0 and a lightweight lol.

I’m not sure if there’s any luck here but I just wanted to give it a go.

Dublin Redditors IRL Social Group - Upcoming Events NSFW

Another quick update since our original post here a couple of weeks ago!

The Dublin Redditors IRL Social Group is officially up and running. We have gaming nights on Tuesday (Discord & DnD), we have a monthly book club, and we have monthly social events in person. The next event will be Board Games & Beers at The Black Sheep!

Our community has already grown to 130+ members since it started, and new people are joining every day. The idea is still the same: a relaxed social group where you can come along on your own or bring friends, meet some new people, and get involved in different events around Dublin. Things are just getting started, and there are already talks of charity racing nights, rock climbing, and everyone crashing Adam's 1 year old nieces birthday party! Sorry to those who haven't yet been added to the group yet, but hopefully we will get you in this week!

You don’t need to know anyone. Everyone is new. So please join us, be sound, and see how it goes! 🙌

If you are interested in joining, you can join the club here or join our WhatsApp Community!

Please leave a comment below if you are interested in joining!

Hope to see some of you at the events in the future!

32M Dublin - Any Introverts? First post in months :) NSFW

Hi everyone! 😊 Haven't posted here for months!

I'm an Introvert, I work part time and I'm a bit of a homebody so I'd love to fill my free time calling and chatting! My photos

As far as myself and what I really value and look for in others: I SUPER value honesty, open mindedness, sense of humour, ability to communicate, introspection, emotional depth and connection, understanding and empathy, emotional maturity and being able to talk to someone about ANYTHING

Hobbies include: Watching YouTube (geography, podcasts, gaming, video essays etc), playing video games (wardogs, call of duty [when it was good], Battlefield, Rocket League, Simulation games), I'm also on a weight loss journey at the moment so working out most days, I live right near the sea so I love walking along the beach and pier, I also love flying my drone... it's super fun! I'd love to hear about your hobbies and passions even if I don't share them myself because I think someone being passionate about something is super cool!

I'm looking for a long term friendship, maybe we can play games together or watch a movie, or come up with fun question games to play! I'm willing to put in the effort to ensure this lasts a long time if you are!

I'm really putting this effort into my post to target the right kind of people and hopefully (🤞) we're able to build something fun, interesting and meaningful for both of us! Being on the same page is important to me. We don't live forever... and it's those connections we make that stick around that really bring true meaning to our lives ☺️

Please put in effort into your chat message (don't just say hi how are you) to show me you've read and vibe with this, tell me your asl and a bit about yourself and what caught your attention from my post! I can't wait to talk and get to know you! If I don't respond to your message don't feel bad I might just be talking to someone else and I don't like juggling multiple people at once tbh.

LF friends in Dublin NSFW

Hi, I posted here about a month ago and had mixed success with the people I ended up meeting offline. So I'm willing to give it another shot to find friends.

I'm 33F and been in Ireland for 4 years now and most of the people I knew have scattered or are busy with families now. I'm a gamer so I spend a fair amount online and prefer discord over reddit. I also enjoy movies, anime, sitcoms, became a dog mom last month, going for walks, windows shopping, and getting back into reading.

I'm not looking for one conversation and then we never talk or someone who always wants me to reach out first. I am queer so if you messaging just because you see female, please don't, I'm looking for friends not ghosting cause I won't exchange pics on first conversation. If still interested after reading that, message me 😅

Looking for Female Friends in Limerick City! NSFW

Hi everyone! So a little bit about me. I'm 22, friendless IRL and would really love some gal pals to hang out with. I'm physically disabled and autistic but honestly I'm incredibly friendly and nice. I've struggled making IRL friends all my life because of the disability factors but hopefully that won't be a problem.

If you'd like to get to know me, please message me with an introduction! I'd like to text or maybe call first before we meet up, if you're comfortable with that. If you don't want to meet up that's also fine.

I can't wait to hear from you!
