r/MafiaTheGame • u/MafiaGameOfficial • 11d ago
Mafia 3 Celebrate Mafia III's 10-year anniversary with PS5 / XBOX Series X|S versions and a new Steam update
Family isn’t who you’re born with, it's who you die for. It's been 10 years since Mafia III made its debut on October 7, 2016, following Lincoln Clay as he blazes a violent path of revenge through the mob-run city of New Bordeaux in 1968. To celebrate, we're honoring a decade of Lincoln's legacy with a new Steam update bringing quality-of-life enhancements to Mafia III: Definitive Edition, live now. In addition, as part of our ongoing efforts to bring Mafia: The Omertà Collection current-gen updates, Mafia III: Definitive Edition is now available on PlayStation®5 and XBOX Series X|S with 60 FPS gameplay and technical improvements. For a limited time, you can also save 80% on Mafia III: Definitive Edition for PlayStation, XBOX, and Steam as part of an ongoing Mafia franchise sale.*
Whether you've already spent hours methodically eliminating the mobsters who betrayed your surrogate family, or you've yet to experience Lincoln's journey as he wages war on the Italian Mafia, this is the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the treacherous underworld of New Bordeaux. Choose your own playstyle—brute force, blazing guns, or stalk-and-kill tactics—to tear down the Mafia, building a new criminal empire with the help of underbosses who may or may not be worthy of your trust.
Mafia III: Definitive Edition includes the main game, all Story DLC (Faster, Baby!, Stones Unturned, and Sign of the Times) and Bonus Packs (the Family Kick-Back Pack and the Judge, Jury & Executioner Weapons Pack) bundled together. It's also included in Mafia: The Omertà Collection's four-game bundle; you can learn more about Mafia: The Omertà Collection here. If you own Mafia: The Omertà Collection on PlayStation®5 and XBOX Series X|S, you'll now have access to your platform's version of Mafia III: Definitive Edition.

Mafia 3 Remy Duvall would have the biggest podcast in the US today
Just finished my first playthrough of Mafia 3 since 2016 and it's frightening how much Remy Duvall's radio show sounded like one of the right-wing podcasts or YouTube personalities today. It's crazy how the world has changed in ten years.

Mafia 2 What if the new version of mafia 2 is actually a remake?
We know they already filled ESRB ratings for a new version of the game but still didn't announce it unlike mafia 3
Now for this remake i don't think it would be like mafia 1's mainly because of the actors, if they remake 2 i think it would be reusing assets from old country which uses unreal engine 5.
So it would be a remake similar to the last of us or black flag remake in the way they keep the original skeleton of the game but overhaul other areas while just upgrading whats already there or might even adding new stuff and not a complete remake like mafia 1's.
I also remember rumors that they were developing a remake of 2 when working on old country which is why we see empire bay at the end of that game and since both game would use the same assets it does make sense.
What you guys think?

Mafia 2 Mafia 2 DLC
I’ve seen the hate posts about the DLC. I know to avoid both of Jimmy’s. But is it at least worth my time to play Joe’s Adventures?

Mafia 3 I think Mafia III is the best one.
Because Lincoln Clay is hot.
..No but, seriously, its an amazing game. Sure it can be repetitive at times but, there is an actual sense of progression and I personally enjoy it. But the combat, story, and characters, in my opinion, are the best in the series. I'm sorry but John Donovan beats Joe Barbaro any day.
Also the music slaps.

Bug MAFIA 3 BUG TROPHY!?
Hello! I made the trophy "you are a rich man!" The trophy that consists of having earned 500,000 thousand dollars even if it was unlocked for about 492 thousand dollars. Since I had almost half a million I also wanted to do the trophy "hands with holes" which consists of spending those 500,000, well, I did it. He didn't give me the money.. I spent about 499,750 dollars, I collected another 4,000 thousand dollars, I spent it but he didn't give me the trophy. What can I do? All this about the new version for ps5

Mafia 2 chapter 14, mafia question
hey guys, I've just finished this masterpiece. before that I've finished the mafia I. both on ps5.
honestly, mafia game is in my top3, for sure. so many interesting mechanics (separate topic) and the main storyline is great.
but my comment is on mafia II, chapter 14: without any spoilers, did you also use the car to drive in? I don't know how many times I was trying to walk through and finally the idea with the car was the most logical thing. also this checkpoint system, it killed my nerves.

Mafia 3 i got pissed off
it was my fifth attempt at this mission, because two times before ive got my tires blown off right at the start, so grecco got away twice while my car drifted around.
in the next two attempts, ive tried to steal new cars when that happened, but vito kept shooting backwards and not entering the new car, so ive grecco got away more two times.
on my fifth attempt i was run over by some fellas while trying to fight npcs that doesn’t even are related to the mission.
and im kinda enjoying playing it again on ps5, takes a little time to get going, and not as many graphical improvements i would hope for, but its doable imo (only the reflections are still horrendous, no denying that)

Mafia 2 Should i play Mafia 3 for PS5 before Mafia 2 for PS5?
Hello. I just finished playing Mafia 1 for PS5. Should i wait for PS5 version of Mafia 2 or i can play Mafia 3 now, and later Mafia2? Those games have story connections between them or i can play them randomly? Thank you
