Omg that is adorable. I never would have thought to do this!! I actually lost a turtle in my yard. It ran away while I was cleaning it's tank and I never saw it again. I could have done this!

Honestly my thought was they only put it on outside so they don't lose the turtle in the grass. My family had a mating pair of desert tortoises as a kid and their babies were so hard to spot if they got into grass.

Holy shit man, itâs a pipe cleaner they put on a turtle for a short clip. Do you seriously think theyâre leaving this on it for like weeks at a time?

Stop being so negative like you actually even care. If anything, given the newness of your acct, youâre a bot
This looks like a pretty great way to track the tortoise while itâs roaming outside. And it will not do any damage if itâs left on for a half hour or even an hour. Yes their shell is part of their body and yes, it is constantly growing, but the flimsy pipe liner is not going to cause a cinching effect in that short amount of time.
Yes, if they left it on for days and days that would cause an issue, I donât think thatâs what this person is doing.

Reddit should just offer some kind of "Extra notes" space under videos so posters can state the context that so many people apparently need before they can enjoy something innocent.
I mean, yeah, people could write up some context anyway. Many do. But since it's something that seems to be intermittently necessary, it shouldn't occupy the same space as the regular original post text. It's just like a necessary hassle at that point, for the sake of pearl clutchers.

This isnt âcuteâ. Putting a dumbass background music doesnât make it so. Its cruelty for internet clout.

I believe this is somebodyâs pet. Tortoises are notorious for getting lost when let outside, even the big ones. This is so they can find them easily!
Itâs just pipe cleaner so I wouldnât go so far as to say itâs animal cruelty. There is something to be said about harassing wild animals which seems to be rather acceptable on the internet, but I donât think it applies here.
Thank you for caring about animal cruelty tho <3 /gen
