6th time might be real

Owner for DC Old Glory strongly hinting at a 6th team in 2027 season during MLR weekly. Would be a new city

Also 77% of Hounds signed on for '27. They picked up 1 anthem player. Loss to Europe a player (s)

We renewed season tix already for Hounds.

Are my ideas for MLR good

I personally think if your doing 2 expansion you Bring back the Iron workers or make a new NYC team, the population is already there and the rugby is there aswell. Connecticut and Mass are full of Highschool rugby and the general north east has so many college and youth teams. It would also make an easily marketable rivalry with the free jacks, kind of like a NFL Jets v Pats thing.

The other team would obviously have to go to Vegas, the sport marketing and gambling center of America. Vegas would eat a new, physical, fun to watch sport up.

And my final ideas would be just to flood the crap out of media with all and any MLR news and dominate spring sports media. Pay creators to make news accounts and edit accounts all over social media where people have no choice but to see the MLR. Nothing else really goes on in the spring and summer so just make it basically a force watch. Have accounts similar to like premefootball or JPA just flooding streams with rugby. And on top of that make the games more then just games, have local bands and singers do half time performances have food and drink venues, make it and event that is crazy fun to go to and throw out the strict rugby rules of celebration, have players do dances after try’s, etc
it’ll make it so much more indulging for the youth to watch

Iscaro starring in Top 14, is the subject of articles in the French sports press...

IdentitĂ© : Jack Iscaro. Âge : 29 ans. NationalitĂ© : amĂ©ricaine. Poste : pilier gauche. Club : Old Glory DC (Major League Rugby). Statut : non-JIFF.

What could it mean? Not cryptic at all. The profile says the page is going through a rebranding period and the link takes you to what I assume is the marketing management company that ran the account.

Expansion MLR Expansion: Why Not Vegas?

Considering the exploding super nova of a sports scene Sin City has become (Golden Knights, Raiders, soon Athletics, and the yet named NBA franchise) it has also become a hot bed for rugby events. Union, League, Sevens
it’s an event town built for event rugby. Vegas expects winners. Any franchise would almost certainly be immediately successful otherwise

I think Las Vegas is not just ideal, I think it’s necessary for the MLR to be successful. Every regional airport in the country seems to have a direct flight to Vegas.

There’s also a pretty good rugby culture already in place to include a very large Polynesian population. UNLV is part of the Gold Coast Conference.

I just think anywhere else is more of the same.

I’m hoping the league grows by at least two; Las Vegas and Houston.

Kinda weird to put out as it shows the forwards coach likes their 3rd round pick more than their 2nd. Appreciate the behind the scenes though.

"Life University and USA age-grade flanker Logan Ballinger was chosen in the top spot by Old Glory DC"

"considered pathway players by MLR. Aaron van Dyk and Fraser Leslie are under-classmen (juniors) who should achieve US-qualification in 2028."
