Since I still had Event Quests to catch up on, I decided to try Prowler Mode with a Beast-type Palico. I'm not entirely sure if it hits harder in this mode because I have High Rank armor and weapons, so I don't notice much of a difference in Low Rank quests. However, what I can say is that switching to this mode is really fun, especially since this game is quite a bit clunkier than its modern entries and the cat is much more agile than the hunter.

Basically gaming for at least 4hrs daily. It's been like this for a month now, unlike any other phase I've been in before. I've had maybe a week of severe addiction to anno, tropico or battlefield before, but it usually ends. I'm writing my thesis atm and my supervisors must be sratching their head. Basically can't work on it because I just want to get to G-rank and make cool bow builds. An hour of gameplay feels like 20 min these games are such time-sinkers.

i have 300 hours and im HR 115 but i cant even beat a normal HR7 diablos alone, is this normal? should i just give up and play another game?

Thank you Maxmordon123, Moto0Lux, and Parmesanmadness. I really should have listened to your advice about not bringing Palicoes. The monsters were MUCH easier to read. I guess I was not confident fighting without them because they serve as good meat shields sometimes.

Over 15 hunts failed with this damn quest. This was harder than that Tragedy Silver Gold quest. I was ready to quit and start playing some other game. I was THAT depressed. I hate soloing the G5 quests man....But at least I never have to come back here again. Now I can finish that Thunderlord SnS.

The set I used was Striker SnS. WEX, CritBoost, Ice Atk+2 and Evasion+1.

I'm just not sure what I'm doing wrong. Did a hyper Jho and took 49 minutes. A little rusty, but then trying G rank Savage and just triple carted after 15 minutes.
