Undiagnosed OCPD loved one Sometimes it’s hard to like him
I love him so much but the nitpicking, arrogance, seeming inability to hold back rude comments even when it would spare my feelings. Sometimes it’s just hard to like him, let alone want to be intimate.
Yesterday I cleaned my house, made him dinner and dessert (a whole damn cake) and looked nice.
What did he do? Immediately pointed out the spot that wasn’t clean. Pointed out a spot I missed while shaving (while in bed and I was being flirtatious with him). Ended the night by making comments about my age (he’s four years older than me but insecure about aging so he projects onto me).
I called all of it out and he’s receptive, does take the feedback. But the thought of seeing him again tonight doesn’t even sound appealing. He’s frustrated with some health issues and feeling insecure so I know yesterday’s verbal diarrhea were related to this.
On the flip side he’s so sweet in his actions and words most of the time. But when he has his OCPD moments…it can be really hard to like him.
