I find the men cast on LIB seasons are mostly awful and represent the worst of men in today’s society. There are only a few unproblematic men each season and the rest seem to be quite misogynistic. I can’t put my finger on exactly what it is, but the casting is pretty consistent in the qualities some of the men exhibit.

I’ve been thinking about some of the iconic moments from the earlier seasons like: Gianinna running from the altar, Jessica giving her dog wine, “Cuties-gate”, Andrew putting eyedrops in his eyes to fake cry and Chelsea comparing herself to Megan Fox. These are just some of the moments I’ve thought of off the top of my head. I can barely remember the cast of last season and who is still together. I guess it’s not unusual for a reality tv show in its eleventh season to be lacking in quality, that’s probably why the international versions are so much more entertaining because most of them (except Brazi) are relatively new

Watching this morning before work, and WHAT is up with the way the shot is framed every time it’s focusing on Nick and Vanessa while they’re talking to the men and women at the beginning. They’re all blurred at the sides or something is in the way, is there weird splicing or is it a bizarre artistic choice do you think? Did anyone else find it odd or am I crazy?

Hey everyone! Long-time lurker, first real post.

I build a Love is Blind prediction game!

I’ve been making pools like this for my friends for years, starting with the Bachelor and Bachelorette, and more recently Love is Blind, just on a spreadsheet every season and we’d all make picks and roast each other in the group chat. I've always preferred (and built) pools where it wasn't just one batch of predictions at the beginning of the season, as a way to keep people engaged.

I recently started a new job that includes webapp development so I thought it would be a fun side project to help me learn the ropes.

It’s called Through the Wall (throughthewall.ca) and it’s free.

The basic idea: you make a pool for a season, invite your people (or join the big Global Pool with everyone), and between episodes you call what’s going to happen:
- Who gets engaged in the pods,
- Who survives (or sleeps together) on the retreat
- Who actually says yes at the altar
- Who's still together by the reunion

No spoilers either. Everybody plays on their own watch schedule, so if your friend watches the whole drop in one night and you’re three episodes behind, nothing gets ruined. You see results in the app when you've reached that point in the season.

S11 Boston starts tomorrow and that pool is open now. Older seasons are on there too (US 1–10 & UK 1–3), so you can test it out or catch up on any seasons you missed.

Fair warning, it’s just me building it in my spare time, so there might be some bugs. If anything’s broken or a rule seems dumb, send a message to 'support' (me) and I'll fix it.

Nicole finally shares they separated. I really was hopeful even after it was clear they are separated but I'm sure it was still necessary for them❤️

This is her 2nd divorce if I'm not wrong but I still think they had love for each other (to this point) considering they had posts up till now pinned and followed each other.

I feel like i shouldn’t watch the new US season considering the way women were treated the last season. The casual SA references and none of it being called out in the reunion. Wouldn’t continuing to watch it seem like we’re just enabling that behaviour and continuing to support it?

I have now watched Love Is Blind from different countries and I have noticed some differences in how participants are selected and also how they interact with each other.

An example: I feel like in the US participants are way younger (mostly in their 20s) compared to European countries such as Italy or Sweden. I feel like there is also more pression on the women to have steady income jobs in Northen European countries (like in Love is Blind Netherlands) compared to Mexico, which I feel may reflect on bigger social expectations and gender roles (not to criticize, just stating what I observed).

Do you noticed something similar? Do you have some insights from LIB in your own country?

I've been wondering this as I watch different seasons across the different countries...would it be possible to have a Queer Love is Blind season?

I think this could work if, for example: Group A consists of mascs, butches & studs that are strictly seeking femmes, lipstick lesbians, futches (Group B) who are strictly seeking individuals that are part of Group A. This way there's no potential of participants falling for anyone in their particular pod squad.

Anyone think this could work?

Just finished LIB UK S3 and it’s such an easy watch and good background tv lol. I’m looking for either more UK or other country seasons that you think are filled with the most drama. Either crazy reveals, arguments or leaving at the alter. Please don’t spoil but just recommend which one you think would be best!

Hear me out, their season is obviously bad on a couple level, but there were several "things" that the production allowed to be on the cut that are unusual.

- The most obvious is when Miguel/Yasemin show up at the mix up, Ludo asked him if "they pick up his story".

- Every "non-Zanzibar" people were back in the same plane? I mean they are from different cities. Still Claire had the chance to talk to Miguel, hook up with Waiter (not sure of his name). Miguel and Elvira could go on dates. And this is all we knows.

- The talk guy that is with Mika also said "on the plane everyone thought I would be the first one to get some". So the two situations/sentences make me question if everyone on the show got to meet each other "on the way back".

- They were also much less discreet about all the hook ups after the pods. While other seasons have mentioned similar. Here it was quite obvious.

- When they meet Ludo's mom she says "nice to meet the two of you again". Ludo corrected her but I feel he was trying to hide her slip.

For me it is a bit weird that they allowed all those bits to be on the final cut. Because it does break a lot the "love is blind - you need to propose without seing the person and possibly get married".

We know it is a reality show. But their job is to keep the illusion. I felt they broke it too often to not be on purpose.

Maybe they just got fed up to be dealing with such crappy couples? 😁

Netflix should totally do a marketing tie-in with Dunkin’ for the Boston season. Feels like a missed opportunity if they don’t. Golden Dunkin’ coffee cups/mugs would sell incredibly well, I mean they sold out of LL Bean Dunkin’ sweaters the same day. They could do a themed drink and everything.

A little birdy told me that an ex was cast on LIB, and I’m having so many different emotions about it. When I first heard, I laughed and thought, “no surprises there.” But once it settled in, I realized how unsettled I actually felt.

This person put me through a lot, and the thought of watching them potentially become a public figure is bringing up feelings I wasn’t expecting.

My friends are suggesting we have a watch party, but I’m not sure I can handle watching. I’m still working through some of the trauma from that period of my life, and I sometimes find myself obsessing over what happened even now.

Part of me is curious, part of me wants nothing to do with it, and part of me feels weirdly affected by the idea of other people getting to know a version of this person that might be completely different from the one I experienced.

If you’ve ever been in a situation like this, what did you do?

Would you watch it or avoid it entirely?
