Central America [OC] Languages of Guatemala, 2018
Guatemala is home to many languages, with Spanish, belonging to the Indo-European language family, being the official language and spoken by the majority of the population. 24 indigenous languages are recognized as national languages. Most of these languages are in the Mayan language family and include Q'eqchi', K'iche', Mam and Kaqchikel shown on the map, along with smaller languages like Q'anjob'al, Poqomchi', Akatek, Sakapultek, Tz'utujil and several more.
Outside of Mayan there is Garifuna from the Arawakan language family, and historically languages of the Xincan language family which are now either moribund or extinct. German, an Indo-European language, is also spoken by many in Guatemala.

West European Plain Continental West Germanic Dialects Today
Most of the maps depicting the CWG dialect continuum date back to the pre-World War II era. Today, the varieties are gradually being displaced by the respective standard languages.
Please note: - This is the first time I have drawn a map - I relied on various sources and created the maps by hand - they will certainly contain a number of errors - So please don't be too hard on me
