skin previews seem broken completely, even rotating them doesn't work normally, anyone know the cause?

I run it on arch linux on hyprland and yesterday downloads worked just fine. Today they dont. I tried disabling enhanced tracking protectipn for websites i download from and allowing em through ublock origin. Didnt work so i reinstalled librewolf and it still wont work.

I use Firefox for everyday things, and LibreWolf for admin tasks or banking. Is LibreWolf really safer than Firefox, even with its small development team?

For anyone who wants to change their default Libre Wolf browser icon, create a shortcut of the executable, and the right click it and select Properties and then Change Icon (Wiindows version). Drag that shortcut on your taskbar.

Hi all,

I've recently started using LibreWolf and noticed any time I open the browser I need to log back in to anything I was previously logged into (email, work portal, etc.).

I'm using Mac and made sure to tick the box to let LibreWolf remember my history and whatnot, but it's no use. I've got a password manager so logging back in isn't a problem, but it's annoying having to go through that process each time.

Any idea what's up with it?

So I use a few websites on a daily basis that require a login and add them to the exclude list eg youtube. Does this defeat the whole purpose of librewolf and I might was well use firefox with ublock?

Hello! i've never had any problems with librewolf but i just finished a movie on a legal site and now when trying to watch a loom video this popup is being spammed about 20 times any time I do anything, I've refreshed my browser but it keeps happening

What should I do?

How can I remove the shortcuts on the homepage that I don't use? I only need four of them, but the others keep getting added automatically from my recent activity. I just switched to LibreWolf, so I'm a new user. Could you please help me?

I know for a fact this site works well on Firefox and Waterfox. I'm new to LibreWolf because Firefox has too much AI jammed into it and Waterfox keeps breaking itself every two seconds.

I'm on the most recent version, I just downloaded it two hours before this post.

This has been happening for a few days now, maybe a week or so, but recently LibreWolf isn't loading websites properly, or sometimes doesn't load it at all. In both screenshots, left is LibreWolf 158.0-1, right is Nightly 160.0a1.

In the first screenshot, I load https://www.reddit.com/r/LibreWolf/ directly after opening both browsers. LibreWolf will partially load it while Nightly has no issues. If I refresh the page on Libreworld, it will load properly.

In the second screenshot is me loading https://warframestreams.lol/, which should redirect to https://streamframe.fyi/. Librewolf outright refuses to load the website. It used to load just fine for the months I've been using this browser. Nightly successfully redirects to the proper site.

I'm not sure how to reproduce this, sometimes it would just fix itself, other times LibreWolf doesnt even want to load wikipedia. Is this a config/setting issue?

Edit: Happened again with https://tv.apple.com. First it refused to even connect. 4 refreshes and tab closing attempts later it did load, but only partially. Refreshing again loaded it correctly.

I know this sounds stupid but what can i change in about:config to make myself more private?

In chrome for eg., I can ensure only the shortcuts that I choose to keep here in a new tab are seen. I can't seem to figure out how to do so for Librewolf though --> it does keep the ones i choose but more importantly, it keeps adding the websites i have simply visited, even though i DO NOT WANT to keep them as shortcuts.

Then I have to manually keep dismissing them. This seems like such a basic and simple to implement requirement that it should be there, I'm not sure if it is though.

To those who're gonna tell me about the top bookmarks bar --> i know that it exists. My point is, I just like to see easy-to-click stuff on a new tab right there below the search bar. Can someone plz help me this figure out ?

Yes, I know FB is trash, I want to not use it but there are groups that don't exist elsewhere. I don't use it often and haven't needed to download a file from a group in a while. Last time I tried it worked fine. But I guess somewhere along the way Meta has made yet another shitty 'update' and now I can't get downloads to work.

When I click on a file to download it looks like it just reloads the page. I know that's not all it's doing, but that's the appearance to me. No file is downloaded.

I have tried enabling WebGL (temporarily); turning off resist fingerprinting; disabling uBlock Origin; and turning off enhanced tracking protection - all with no difference. Using another browser temporarily is not an option because FB won't let me use a different browser (something about an unidentified device that I haven't used before or blah blah - I gave up trying). I can't use my phone because I won't install that trash on my phone ever.

Anyone know what settings I need to change (temporarily) so I can download these files? Thanks!

Edit: Have also tried using the DownloadThemAll extension and that couldn't download the files either. In the preview, it showed the files correctly but then just downloaded a bunch of html files instead.

Greetings fellow LibreWolves.

I have a bug where my theme (D-Cyan) will not show upon launch unless I enable/disable it every time, and I was looking for some guidance.

The theme will hold until the browser is closed. If additional LibreWolf session windows are opened while the first one is still opened, it still holds. If I close LibreWolf entirely, the theme resets to the default dark theme all over again. If I disable Dark Reader, the bug is gone. Previous versions of LibreWolf never had this issue for me.

The bug occurs with any theme, and the result is the default theme showing every launch. The setting takes hold, so it's not a write issue. It says "Enabled", but it does not show. I can see the theme briefly flicker and then switch back to the default look at launch. As previously stated, clicking "Disable" then "Enable" revives the theme.

I never had this issue until the Nova upgrade, and the bug persists whether I am using the new Nova layout or not. Firefox of the same version does not have the issue with Dark Reader. It seems to be specific to LibreWolf.

I'm out of ideas as to why Dark Reader is not working correctly with my LibreWolf themes. My Dark Reader is updated to the current version as well (4.9.133).

Any ideas or feedback would be appreciated. Thank you for your time reading, and thank you to the developers for making this great browser.

Right now if I want to change wallpapers I have to change it manually, I know its a browser and there's limited things to what it can do but can I save it maybe like the option of third party wallpapers you can activate, so that they'd be just there to click?

Also is there any way to make a cycle, as in set one to activate after a specific time or something

When searching from the Startpage website, the search phrase is private, meaning the search phrase is not visible in the web address or URL after searching. But when searching Startpage from the address bar, it's not private and visible in the web address/URL.

Is there any way to make search terms private when searching using Startpage from the address bar? Thanks.
