Hey everyone!

I’m a 17M heading off to Liberty University in Fall 2027 to study either Cybersecurity or Information Technology. I’m super excited, but my main focus right now is connecting with people before move-in day.

A little about me: I’m generally an outgoing person, so I'm not too worried about making friends once I'm on campus. I grew up as a missionary kid on a tiny island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, which gave me a totally unique background and worldview that I'm really proud of.

I wanted to put this post out there to see who else is planning to head to LU for Fall 2027—especially if you're looking at the same majors.

It would be awesome to build a bit of a community before college starts. A lot of people struggle with making friends when they first arrive, so let's use this as a bridge to connect with some awesome people early.

Drop a comment or shoot me a message if you're heading to LU in '27 or sharing a similar major.

God bless!

Hi! I will be needing to take this class in the summer of next year (or maybe fall) and I'm wanting to get all the info I can regarding the zoom meetings or in-person stuff. I am taking this class fully online and am very nervous about this class for some reason. Any info regarding it is welcome! Thank you!

If I complete my final prerequisite during Summer B 2027, which ends July 9, would I be allowed to enroll in a Summer D section class that begins June 28 while that prerequisite is still in progress, as long as I successfully complete the prerequisite before the new class ends? Or does the prerequisite have to be fully completed before the other class begins?

Anyone take this? What’s your review of this course/difficulty? Was reading the overview, is there an actual interview portion where you have to interview someone?

I’m starting Liberty Online on October 26th and these are the classes I will be taking:
BIBL 110 – New Testament Survey
RLGN 105 – Introduction to Biblical Worldview
UNIV 104 – Instructional Technology
I’m a mom of five, and one of my kids is special needs. I’m just trying to get an idea of what the workload is like and if taking all three classes at once is manageable.
Has anyone taken these classes? I would appreciate any feedback.

How long does it take to hear back from them? They keep advertising for academic advisors and other positions but I see a lot of the same complaints I have. They never reach out to anyone.

What do I do? I have a chance to appeal and have never used ai on my essay.

Can someone explain pls?? Liberty University I was told when I started my 1st day on Sept. 21st that I’m going to get split payments of financial refund due to taking subterms. So basically half Oct.20th then the rest on Nov.20th for Fall semester

So ive been waiting for an extremely long time to get my refund, and it seems as though I will likely just keep on waiting. Every week, I call in askjng for an update, but the same type of response is given. I'm starting to think this has a lot to do with the Department of Education. Luckily it's ok, but I can't imagine students having issue who really do depend on this money down to the penny. Just seems every time since this new system with Dep. Of Ed was rolled out.

Has anyone obtained a DBA from liberty university?
I just applied

I know this sounds like an odd question, but if anyone remembers what this past summer class offerings for the Masters, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm trying to schedule out. Do they offer all of the online classes every summer?

Hi everyone, I hope you are well!

I was wondering if someone could please help me with understanding how Liberty terms are set up.

I intend to start at Liberty in either January or April of 2027 depending on a few outside circumstances. I will pursue the Master of Arts in Theological Studies. This is a 36-credit degree that, from what I understand the website says, can be done in 1 year.

Am I understanding this correctly: that I will be doing 4 courses per 16-week term, but really the way Liberty has this set up is that I will actually be doing 2 courses per 8 weeks and only really ever doing 2 courses at at time, but over the 16 weeks would do 4 courses per 16 weeks? Am I understanding this right?

Hey all, I have zero programming background and I need this class for my major. I’ve registered for it but I’m trying to figure out if anybody has taken it and if so what was the difficulty level. Would you say it’s hard or fairly easy when you put the work in? Thank you!

So my bf is attending LU and I kinda like to peruse all the Liberty insta accounts and I've recently found LU_Unfiltered2.0 and it's genuinely unhinged. Like ik it's an "unfiltered" account but I thought LU was a Christian college? I'm not really a Christian so ig I'm just confused on the rules when it comes to topics and kinda out there comments on that specific account.

I applied and was informed that I must use my Liberty University email during the application process. Financial Aid requested identity documents, which I provided. I waited a week for them to review the documents, and by the end of that week I noticed a hold had been placed on my account. I’ve been locked out of the Liberty email system and can’t even monitor my checklist, even though transcripts were still being sent in. I’ve spent another week calling and emailing, but no one has gotten back to me. I also haven’t been told why the hold was placed. Has anyone else had a similar experience? If so, how long did it take to resolve? I’m starting to question whether I should continue with my application to LU, since the cost of transcripts is adding up.

Now that the on campus pharmacy is permanently closed, how does anyone without a car pick up a prescription when they’re sick? The health center says none of the local pharmacies will deliver to campus. I also found this out the hard way with Walmart pharmacy. I know people that can give me a ride, but if I’m contagious, I don’t want to risk infecting them as well. Thoughts?

Give me some motivation

I’m on the hunt for women’s graduation regalia, with the Helms School of Government hood specifically. I tried ordering through the school and the site is closed till the holidays. I live in WA state and would pay shipping if anyone is getting rid of theirs!

I just registered for the spring semester. I am very confused with one of the courses required for my major (BUSI 411). It says I need either MAT201 or BUSI 205. I had transfer credits from a community college that is being checked off for MAT201, but it’s still saying I’m not meeting the requirements.

I will call the advisors tomorrow to figure out the issue to hopefully take it by summer ‘27, seeing as that is my last semester.

But I’m wondering has the happened to anyone else? What were they able to do for you?

This AI detection and stuff is out of control. I used my one drive thankfully and saved the progression of my paper; but it's extremely insulting and a slap in the face to give someone an initial 1/150 on a paper they wrote because an AI system told you it detected AI. Honestly a joke. This place really needs to get it together....

Hi. I attended Liberty during my undergrad, and I graduated with a 4.0. While I know this is pretty rare, I’ve applied to over 10 graduate programs, to include Ivies, and I strongly feel they don’t respect Liberty academically. I have been rejected to all of these universities, and one professor said I needed to pursue a Masters at a state school to get rid of the LU influence.

While I know LU is regionally accredited just like UVA or VT, it feels like I’m being closed-door discriminated against because of attending LU.

Has anyone else experienced this when applying to graduate school or law school? I’m also a veteran, so I genuinely don’t know why Universities wouldn’t want free VA money.

Going back to school after 13 years to finish my degree. What’s anyone’s experience between these two classes can’t decide which one I wanna take! Thanks!

Hey,

Just thought you should be aware or what others off campus think of your school.
