Hi all,
I'm a student-researcher at American University in the United States, and I'm writing my undergraduate thesis on how increased use of community radio and social media has shaped movements against SGBV in Liberia.
Finding people who are willing to be interviewed has been challenging, but if any Liberian women who see this are interested in being interviewed, I'd really appreciate it. Everything is completely confidential, and this research won't be published, but I do want to use it as a foundation for future policy memos, so hopefully it will do some good, even if it won't be seen by people in its entirety. That being said, of course, anyone who participates will be more than welcome to read the entire paper, though names of all participants will be replaced with anonymous identifiers.
For people who are not interested in being interviewed but would like to contribute, please share any sources with me that you can find on using social media or radio to organize demonstrations, or even tell me about individual social media posts that you have seen that talk about SGBV in Liberia.
Please comment or DM me, and I can share a research consent form that gives more detailed information. Also, my research is being conducted under the guidance of a researcher with an actual doctorate, who specializes in Liberia research, and her name/more detailed information will be included on the form, if it helps!
Also, I put this under the politics flare because it's about social movements, but if I should tag it differently, please let me know!
