Legal Advice Needed FIR registered over sexual touching in an apartment lift

Female criminal lawyer recommendations in Bengaluru

Posting on behalf of my elder sister (45).

A young adult neighbor (20) deliberately brushed against her and touched her body while exiting their apartment lift, despite sufficient space to pass and her pressing against the wall to avoid him.

She and her husband later confronted him in his parents’ presence. He apologized while denying the act, and she thought the matter had ended. The next day, however, his parents came to her home, aggressively demanded a written apology, threatened dire consequences, and used abusive, demeaning language.

The lift CCTV shows bodily contact and available space, but his hand and the specific touching are obscured. The apartment association has treated the complaint as a “he said, she said” situation, leaving us feeling dismissed and unsupported.

My sister has registered an FIR. Could anyone recommend an approachable female criminal lawyer in Bengaluru experienced in assisting complainants in sexual harassment or assault cases?

Please keep comments respectful. Personal attacks, victim-blaming, and abusive comments will be reported. I’m seeking lawyer recommendations for my sister during an already distressing time.

Legal Advice Needed My wife filed a False 498-A case on us

It's been just six months of marriage, I have confronted my wife's brother when he tried to abuse my mother who is trying to settle down the situation at that time and he taken away his sister along with him when I asked him to leave, even after I tried to convince her to stay back for two times. She left my home saying that she'll be back home after three days along with her father.

On aug 15th my wife's parents agreed to send back her to cohabitation, but after few days again their tone has been changed.

Then they filed 498A complaint on us in their home town on sep 12 alleging that I didn't even touch her all these days, I had anger issues and I'm sexually unfit which are absolutely false statements. SI advised us to settle the issue within the families. How to fight back?

Can I file a case on my wife's brother for creating nuisance and verbally abused my mother and intentionally pushed my mother while she was trying to stop my wife while leaving the home.

And Can I file a cheating case on my wife's parents for not keeping up their promise about not sending their daughter to cohabitation

And another defamation case on their family.

Later we both the parties sat and ppl from my end requested to send back the girl where their ppl were stating that girl is not at all interested to come back. Their demand is 40 lakhs need to be fixed deposit in the name of girl to withdraw case and to go for mutual divorce

Kindly suggest what would be the best approach.

Legal Advice Needed Company revoked my offer letter after I resigned based on it. Do I have legal recourse?

• Upvotes

Hey everyone, I’m in a terrible mess and need some legal/career advice from this community.

Here is what happened:

The Offer: On October 12, 2026, I received and accepted a formal, signed offer letter from XYZ Technologies Pvt. Ltd. for a Project Manager role based in Gurugram, with a CTC of ~16.7 LPA and a scheduled joining date of November 16, 2026.

The Clause: The contract explicitly states: "This Offer Letter, upon your acceptance, shall constitute a binding agreement between you and the Company."

The Resignation: Relying entirely on this binding agreement, I formally resigned from my previous job.

The Revocation: Out of nowhere, I just received a telephonic communication from them stating that they are no longer proceeding with my joining and have hired someone else for the role. They are now ignoring official emails and communications.

Because of this sudden revocation, I am left completely high and dry without my previous secure employment and in professional/financial jeopardy.

Clause 15 of the agreement mentions that disputes are governed by Indian law, subject to arbitration in Delhi NCR with exclusive jurisdiction resting with the courts at Gurugram, Haryana.

My questions for legal experts / those who have faced this:

Does an accepted offer letter with explicit "binding agreement" phrasing hold strong weight under Indian contract law for promissory estoppel/breach of contract?

Can I legally claim compensation or damages (such as notice period pay or loss of employment) for a revoked offer after resignation?

What are the recommended next steps?

Should I send a formal legal notice through a lawyer immediately, or try a demand email first?

Any guidance or shared experiences would be hugely appreciated.

Rephrased through Gemini for more clarity!

Thanks in Advance

Legal Advice Needed Neighbour converted a shop to flat and now harassing us for petty things

So we have been living in this society for more than 10 years, here people hardly fight with anyone on petty issues

But this year (in may) a family moved into a back portion of the society, originally this place was made by builder as pump house or small shop like section, it was abandoned but some broker sold it to a family and then that family without prior permission converted this area into a row house type area by putting big roads n a tarp on top of it (the famous blue tarps) G+1 it happened

Everyone let it slide but the actual owner was very chill never had a fight with anyone for 2 years

Recently she moved out n her daughter n son in law moved in

They have been singling us out because the building has more than 20 flats, still for every small thing that falls from above they have accused us

Examples:

a) someone threw a sanitary pad (wrong completely wrong bt it was not us) later we got to know she has openly accused us in front of all society people and abused us

N we had to confront this make her understand that it was not us, still never believed it

b) we have bird feeder n they told us ur feeder is creating a mess in the society area, so we understood it and moved our feeder tied it properly so nothing smal grain also doesnt fall down, now yesterday someone dropped few rice in the society area, now kitchen is in the back side which was supposed to be lesser used area

And someone may have bymistakely dropped it. Again she accused us

c) her husband has threatened us

d) during festive season some people do rituals and keep a thali filled with food in society compound, we noticed she never confronted them speaks to them nicely

Bt we have not been doing things bt have been getting accussed n abused, we fill water bowls at night for birds n stray animals (not in society premise) but to go out we need to use the society pathway, from her rowhouse she has abused us saying dont u guys have a time, roaming at night n guess what it was around 11.30 pm n same day her husband came home late night at 2 am

In short they can do things bt others cant and we asked her that have u messaged or asked other flat members the same question that u r asking us and answer was no, we are literaly fed up like its scary someone wil bymistakely throw some plastic or bowl or anything falls down its us who wil get targeted

What can be done this is getting very negative and tiring, we have tried talking to her nicely we reasoned but we have seen a pattern that they have started lying about stuffs like my dad is senior citizen, just to create an angle or base for the complaint they are saying that uncle threw water on his wife (who is 30 plus or something) obnoxious

And i am scared for parents safety here because they are saying in message that we have already made complaint (which i feel is a lie because we never got a call from the authority)

We even told them going forward give us ur issue in writing via owner so that u dont keep on changing the issue, in such matters what can be done because if they see a phone they change the tone otherwise blatant taunts r something they constantly throw at us

Legal Advice Needed Is my grandmother entitled to a share in my father's property under Hindu succession law?

• Upvotes

My grandfather left a Will bequeathing his self-acquired property to my father. My father passed away intestate in 2009, leaving behind his wife, two children, and his mother (my grandmother).

Assuming the Will is valid, would my grandmother be considered a Class I heir to my father’s estate and entitled to a share in the property under the Hindu Succession Act, 1956?

We’ve received differing opinions from different lawyers on this, so I’m trying to understand the legal position better. Would appreciate insights, especially from lawyers familiar with Indian succession law.

Rant/Experience Vakilsearch scammed me 25k please be careful

Post image
54 Upvotes

My experience with Vakilsearch – Please be careful!

Guys, I received an Income Tax notice and was looking for a professional CA to help me prepare and submit a response within a tight deadline.

I contacted Vakilsearch, and they quoted ₹40,000 for the service. They asked me to pay ₹25,000 upfront, which I did. However, after receiving the payment, they stopped responding, even though I had very little time left to submit my response.

After waiting for two days, I booked another CA because I couldn't afford to miss the deadline. I then asked Vakilsearch for a refund.

They refused to refund my money and instead offered a credit note that could supposedly be used for other services. They sent me an email stating that I had a ₹25,000 credit note, but I haven't received any proper supporting document.

Is this how a professional service provider should treat its customers?

I paid for a time-sensitive service and was left without the support I needed. Now, instead of a refund, I'm being asked to accept a credit note for services I may not even need.

This has been a very frustrating experience. I would strongly advise others to do their due diligence before paying for professional services through Vakilsearch.

Legal Advice Needed [URGENT] Rapido driver threatened me with a knife and robbed me in Gurugram at 1:30 AM. Need help getting police and Rapido to act.

Hi everyone,

I'm posting here because I genuinely need help and advice after a terrifying incident in Gurugram.

On 19 October 2026, around 1–1:30 AM, I booked a Rapido ride from Sector 5, Ashok Vihar, Gurugram to Sector 72A, Gurugram.

During the journey, the driver cancelled the ride midway on his app but insisted that he would still drop me at my destination.

While we were on the way, he suddenly pulled out a knife (chaku), threatened my life, snatched my mobile phone, and fled.

I was genuinely scared for my life. What was supposed to be a normal ride turned into a robbery at knifepoint.

What I've done so far:

  • Emailed Rapido support and their nodal officer regarding the incident.
  • Requested the driver's details, vehicle number, and KYC information for the police investigation.
  • Asked Rapido to preserve the trip records and take immediate action against the driver.
  • I'm pursuing a formal police complaint/FIR.

I urgently need help from this community:

  1. Has anyone faced a similar incident with Rapido in Gurugram?
  2. How can I escalate this to Rapido's senior management or safety team?
  3. Is there a way to make Rapido immediately share the driver's details with the investigating police?
  4. Can anyone guide me on getting faster action from Gurugram Police?
  5. Are there any local journalists or authorities who can help bring attention to this?

I'm requesting u/rapidoapp and Gurugram Police to take this seriously. I can provide my booking details, registered phone number, and email correspondence privately to the relevant authorities.

Please upvote for visibility and share any genuine advice or contacts.

Please stay safe. Never continue a ride after the driver cancels it.

Location: Sector 5, Ashok Vihar → Sector 72A, Gurugram

Date: 19 October 2026, approximately 1–1:30 AM

Legal Advice Needed Paytm call agent harassment, police did not help.

Thumbnail gallery
66 Upvotes

My father took a Loan from Paytm a few months back.

The business went down and he is not able to repay the loan. 3-4 EMIs have been bounced.

We are working to sell our properties to repay the loan amount and we told the same to the paytm team.

But this one female agent calls every family member (me(son), my brother, mother, grandmother) and harasses. She even started a message bombing on my brother's mobile. (Yes its an iphone and i am paying the emi from my own money)

"Tu dhanda karti hai", "tu dhande pe baithti hai", toone paise khaye hai" - these were the agent's exact words to my mother. I have the call recording.

We went to the police to file a cyber/harassment report. Their question - "did the agent commit a fraud?" We said No. They said that we are at fault and its the agent's job to do so. And we should simply not pick up the call and talk to the bank.

The mental toll is unbearable, i just completed my undergrad and i am trying to work but all of this is too much to take.

Small update: I sent a complaint via email to paytm and smfg credit india (the underlying bank) regarding the issue and if i dont get a satisfactory response within 30 days, i can also file a complaint to RBI.

Legal Advice Needed So, my landlord locked us out and threating us cuz my younger brother damaged his property ?!

• Upvotes

Disclaimer : the para is not written by meh , cuz my English is preety bad plus I'm fvked up 😭💔🙏

Hi everyone,

I'm posting because my family is going through a really difficult situation in Gurugram, and we're honestly not sure what steps to take next.

Our family moved into a rented room on 8 October 2026. The landlord asked for ₹8,000 as an advance. We paid ₹6,000, and he agreed that we could pay the remaining ₹2,000 later.

On 19 October, the room was locked, and we lost access to it. We weren't present when it was physically locked, so we cannot say who personally locked it. However, we believe the landlord was responsible.

The worst part is that all our belongings are still inside. We haven't been able to retrieve them, and we're currently staying at our small shop because we have nowhere else to go.

There is also a recording of a call in which the landlord threatens our family, saying not to approach his house or even the surrounding streets and threatening to beat us if we do.

There's another matter involving our 14-year-old younger brother and a separate police complaint. Police personnel came looking for him, and he ran away. Our family currently doesn't know his whereabouts. We aren't trying to avoid the investigation and are willing to cooperate with lawful procedures. We just want the matter handled fairly and with the protections applicable to a minor.

We understand that these are separate matters, but we're worried that the landlord situation and the police matter are becoming mixed together.

We've tried using the Haryana Police online portal to submit a complaint, but the OTP/CAPTCHA verification keeps failing.

I'd genuinely appreciate advice on:

  1. What legal steps can we take regarding the landlord locking the rented room?

  2. How can we safely retrieve our belongings without directly confronting him?

  3. Can we submit a written complaint to senior Gurugram police authorities if the online portal isn't working?

  4. What should we do to preserve and present the call recordings?

  5. Can we pursue the landlord matter independently of the separate matter involving our younger brother?

We're not trying to create drama or escape any lawful responsibility. We just want fair treatment, safety, access to our belongings and a proper resolution.

Thank you to anyone who takes the time to guide us.

Legal Advice Needed Home owner not returning deposit

• Upvotes

Hey as the title suggests. My current house owner is refusing to refund my deposit when I exit the property on October 31

Quick facts

City, area - Mumbai, Parel
Rent for my room - 48k/mo
Total house rent - 1.2L/mo (divided among 3 people)
Deposit - 1.44L

1, the agreement was going to end October 9. I asked him to extend it to month end, when I would leave. Asked him to deduct October rent from deposit (so now 96k is left with him)

2, I told him I would help him find a replacement (as he’s been nice to me). But I couldn’t find anyone. Now I don’t have time to find people. This is over a WhatsApp conversation

3, I told him about the same last week Friday and again yesterday. He’s going on about me paying the rent till he finds a replacement. He’s taken my help as a commitment (me finding a replacement is not in the agreement)

4, He makes us pay his sister / cousin the monthly rent so he doesn’t have to pay tax on the amount. He’s not giving us a rent receipt as well

5, the other two flatmates plan to stay on in the flat for some more time

Now I just want my deposit money back

What are my options?

Legal Advice Needed Need advice regarding my mom’s ₹7,000 loan installment not credited by IndusInd Bank

• Upvotes

Hi everyone, I need some advice regarding my mom’s loan.

My mom took a loan through a group of around 10–15 women in our village. A bank agent organized the group and regularly collected loan installments in cash.

My mom paid her final installment to the agent at our home, but the payment was never credited to her loan account. Unfortunately, we don’t have a receipt, but a few women from the group can support that my mom made the payment.

We want to resolve this matter honestly and are planning to file a formal complaint with the bank.

Has anyone faced a similar situation? What would be the best way to proceed, and can the other women’s statements help us?

I would really appreciate your advice and suggestions. Thank you!

Legal Advice Needed Need help regarding my recent road accident 🙏

So this happened to me 2 days back, I live in delhi and was coming home from manesar (went there for some private affairs) while coming I was driving very calmly the speed was around 50-60 , so on the way there was a group of racing bike riders so whole i was changing my lane one of them got hit ( which was actually his fault because my car is damaged from behind so technically he hit not me ) i stopped the car , the group surrounded me and in panic I called police. They took me and all the rider boys to the police station , the boy had very minor bruises on the back of his shoulder that's it . So the police told me and them to go back and forget as it's too small and be thankful nothing happened, so they all went back but i stayed there ( actually one of the police guy had my RC and licence and he went somewhere so I had to wait for him to come back ) .

In the meantime the injured boy's mother came back with MLC and is now demanding a minimum of 1.5 lakh rupees as compensation, saying that her son's helmet is broken which actually cost 1 lakh ( which she has not even shown that actually broke or not ). She runs an NGO or something and knows a few police personnel like SHO etc. i clearly said I can only offer 10k so she is saying she will then file a FIR against me.

Also Today i called Jaipur Delhi Highway they told me it's illegal to ride even a motorbike on the express way let alone a racing bike.

I'm actually scared, and can't waste my time in court proceedings so what can I do? Please even a small help is appreciated 🙏

Also the police station called me again today to come and talk for the compromise and that party is actually waiting. I didn't go . So can I give a date of after a week to visit the police so that everyone can calm down till then .

Legal Advice Needed **What is the worst possible outcome of this case for us? Is there any chance our home could be attached or sold?**

Background

My late father was a property dealer who handled all his business independently. He never disclosed the details of his property transactions or financial dealings to us.

Following his passing, Surya filed a court lawsuit against my mother.

Key Facts & Situation

  1. Conflicting Agreements: My father initially entered into an agreement with Mohan to purchase a piece of land. Subsequently, my father executed a separate agreement for the same land with Surya, agreeing to sell it to him. Both agreement documents bear signatures from 5 to 6 people, including witnesses, as well as signatures from my father, Mohan, and Surya—indicating that all parties were aware of these concurrent arrangements.
  2. Father’s Written Undertaking: I discovered a picture of written undertaking signed by my father on the back of the original agreement with Surya. In this note, my father stated that due to delays caused by the original landowner (Mohan), my father was unable to execute the property registration for Surya within the stipulated timeframe. Since Surya demanded a refund, my father agreed to recover his payment from Mohan and return the funds to Surya by a specified deadline.
  3. Repayments Made: My father subsequently refunded ₹50,000 to Surya during his lifetime.
  4. Agreement with Mohan: The agreement between my father and Mohan reflects that my father paid Mohan ₹11,00,000 in cash.
  5. Outstanding Balance: The remaining balance claimed by Surya is ₹12,50,000.

The Lawsuit

Surya has filed a suit against my mother demanding ₹12,50,000, claiming that as my father's legal heir, she must pay his debt. The legal notice & summon order also stating that if we won't give his money back then he'll recover the amount "by attachment and sale of defendant's movable and immovable properties".

Because we were entirely unaware of these transactions, Surya and his legal counsel appear to be taking advantage of our lack of knowledge by presenting a biased narrative in the legal notice and court summons to pressure us.

We currently lack the financial means to pay this amount. Based on our understanding, there are three primary constraints/options:

  1. Recovering Money from Mohan: To pay Surya, we would need to recover the ₹11,00,000 from Mohan. However, legally, these two agreements are treated as separate transactions. We would need to initiate independent legal proceedings (e.g., sending a legal notice and filing a suit) against Mohan to recover those funds.
  2. Ancestral Land Dispute: There is land registered in my grandfather's name, but it cannot be liquidated or used for settlement because it is already subject to separate ongoing litigation.
  3. Current Residential House: Our family currently resides in our house in our village. This house stands on land registered in the name of my great-grandfather’s brother, not in my father's or mother's direct name.

In these types of cases, what does a judge normally pass as a judgment? Is there any chance that our house is in danger of being sold?

What is the standard legal procedure in court for these types of cases?

Specifically: - What will the judge typically ask or say to us regarding the case? - What interim orders might the judge pass while the proceedings are ongoing? - What strategy should our lawyer adopt to resolve and win the case as quickly as possible? - What key things should we be vigilant or cautious about regarding our own lawyer?

Took the help of AI to make it easier to understand.

Legal Advice Needed How can a 50+ year-old rural nonprofit school comply with minimum wage and PF laws when its finances cannot support higher salaries? (UP)

I’m looking for practical legal guidance on behalf of a genuine, over-five-decade-old nonprofit that runs a school serving villages in Uttar Pradesh outside municipal area.

Over the years, this institution has transformed the lives of many children and families. It has kept education affordable by charging fees of around ₹200–300 per month, with free education for some classes. As a result, it has operated on very limited resources and also not made an active reach out for donations.

The school has no profit motive or surplus to distribute. Almost all fee collections go towards operating expenses, primarily teachers’ salaries. Unfortunately, these salaries are low and, in some cases, below the applicable minimum wages.

The teachers are generally happy working there because it provides employment close to home in their own villages. The institution has continued to serve its community for decades, but its financial model was built around very low fees and correspondingly low operating costs.

The challenge is that the organisation now needs to ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, including minimum wage requirements and Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) rules, wherever applicable.

The organisation genuinely wants to comply with the law, but it cannot afford to raise salaries to the required levels from its current income and with new income tax regime contributions that earleir came as donations through 80(G) have also dried up . Increasing fees substantially could make education inaccessible to the very families it exists to serve. Efforts are underway to find additional funding and support, but these may take time.

I would appreciate advice from people familiar with Indian labour law, nonprofit governance, or the operation of private schools.

  1. What is the legally correct approach when a nonprofit school cannot afford the applicable minimum wages?
  2. Do minimum wage rules apply differently to part-time teachers, daily-wage workers, or teachers working only a few hours a day? How are the applicable rates calculated in these cases?
  3. Are there any legitimate exemptions, special provisions, or government schemes available to small nonprofit or charitable educational institutions?
  4. How should EPF applicability be determined for such a school, and are there any relevant exemptions or concessions?
  5. Are there any other lawful employment arrangements or funding mechanisms that could help the school remain compliant without immediately increasing its existing salary commitments beyond what it can afford?

To be clear, the intention is not to misclassify employees or find a loophole to avoid legal obligations. We want to understand the options available within the law so that this institution can continue its social mission and protect the livelihoods of its teachers.

How would you approach this situation if you were advising the institution? Practical experiences, legal references, or suggestions for organisations that could help would be greatly appreciated.

Legal Advice Needed Need Help with PMAY Housing Scheme – I Have No Family Contact or Family Documents

i everyone,

I need some genuine advice regarding the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), as I want to buy my own house.

My father passed away when I was 16, and my mother remarried in the same year. Since then, I have had no contact with my family members. I started working at the age of 16 and have been managing my life independently ever since.

Now, I want to apply for the PMAY housing scheme, but I am facing a problem with the documentation.

The application asks for family details, which I cannot provide because I have no contact with my family. When I select the orphan option, it asks me for an orphan certificate, which I do not have.

I have been taking care of myself and working since I was 16. I never applied for an orphan certificate because I did not know I might need one for a situation like this.

I genuinely want to know what I can do now.

My questions are:

  1. Can I apply for PMAY as a single woman who is financially independent but has no family support?
  2. What should I do if I cannot provide family details or documents?
  3. Is an orphan certificate compulsory, or can I submit another document, affidavit, or declaration explaining my situation?
  4. Can I obtain an orphan certificate now, as an adult, if I meet the applicable requirements?
  5. Is there any government office or authority that can help me resolve this issue?

Sometimes, I feel that people like me, who have no family support, may be left out of government schemes simply because we cannot provide family documents. I have been working and supporting myself since I was 16, and now I am trying to build a secure future by buying my own house.

I am not looking for any special treatment. I just want to understand the rules and know whether there is a legal way for someone in my situation to apply.

If anyone has faced a similar situation or has knowledge of PMAY, government documentation, or legal procedures, please guide me.

Thank you for reading and helping.

Legal Advice Needed Lost INR 40 Lakh+ and need to recover it

Thing is my family gave out money to their friends who needed it around 10-15 years ago. Got cheque in collateral but now that my uncle and father are no more these people dont wish to return me the money back. One of them didn't know a legal heir existed (me) cause my uncle was the one who lend him the money, so he and his wife had put a story to my uncle that he's dead. But right after my uncle's demise he was seen around in town and was confronted by another guy who also owes us money and this person said I want to return it but he's no more (my uncle) so dont know whom to return it to.

This point no one is willing to return, its not like its a small amount nor they are in a bad state.

I was 18 when I lost my father, uncle and grandmother so I took on a job to pay my rent and bills and take care of my mother while doing my degree.

But its high time now, I see these people built their Companies on my family's life savings and here I'm making it pay check to paycheck.

I wanna make them pay but cant afford legal right away. Lost another property sale deed case cause my lawyer sold out right 1 month after my dad passed and sadly judgment was right around that time so we lost it.

Legal Advice Needed I have a legal question for the lawyers

I am located in the US and was a victim of a romance scam by an Indian man. I tried to recover my money and I have posted in reddit to see if others have had similar experiences, only sharing my experience. He had a family member reach out to me and say that his family is taking legal action for harassment against me. What does it take for a legal case to be made from India to a US citizen, is that even possible?

Legal Advice Needed Is it a mechnical error in the process established by the law?

So, as a counterblast to my FIR, the accused moved an application to the SP just two days after the FIR. Then, after waiting 15 days, they moved the same application before the Special DAA Judge, along with a sworn affidavit.

The application was well-drafted, fulfilling all the requirements to create a prima facie case. The judge followed the ruling and requested the ATR, in which it was mentioned that there is a property dispute between the parties and that there is already an FIR against the applicant, filed by the accused in the application.

Yet, the judge ordered the registration of an FIR based on a prima facie case.

While I am pretty sure the applicant is now going to introduce well-tutored witnesses, since they got three months to do so, we have to wait until they describe the incident to the police so that we can provide counter-evidence.

After the incident took place, we filed our first application on the CM Helpline regarding the loot after 16 days because we were not getting the expected response.

In between, we visited the SP's office multiple times, but they did not accept our application. So, we started sending it by post after 30 days.

After 50 days, our FIR was registered.

Now, I was thinking that even if the police file a closure report, the victim will file a well-drafted protest petition, arguing that despite providing witness statements, the police filed a closure report.

I have observed a case where an FIR was ordered on the basis of a prima facie case, but after the protest petition, the matter was converted into a private complaint.

Now, I feel like I am stuck in a mechanical process where judges are forced to order something just because they found a prima facie case initially, and they cannot later say that it has not been established.

And since it is going to be the same judge, if he accepts the closure report and rejects the protest petition, that decision can be challenged on the grounds of how he found a prima facie case in the first place.

It's quite interesting. What do you guys think? Is this a loophole in the system, or am I missing something?

Also, if anyone has suggestions on how we can get this resolved, please share them. This seems to be an abuse of judicial power to settle a property dispute and back off from the FIR.
