I mean, my personal headcanon is that, for a while, Lizzie made being a fan of Sabrina Carpenter part of her personality, humming āPlease, Please, Pleaseā as if it were her own personal anthem, for example.
What do you guys think about the rest?

Even till S5 of TO, she still wears her wedding rings around her neck and her official last names is Forbes-Salvatore.
But in her appearance in the last episode of Legacies, she no longer wears her rings and has taken them off - and also refers herself only as Ms. Caroline Forbes

Name: Aspfonia Hope Landon Niklause Hayley Mikaelson
Sign: Scorpio (the most ruthless and manipulative sign)
Age: barely legal
Species: Quadbrid
Vampire side: After she dies, she unlocks compulsion and the thrist eyes, enhanced speed. She gets very annoying thirst at times of weakness (rare). She automatically channels the vampire side for spells. She can compel anyone, but it's extremely hard with gods.
Wolf side: She can turn at any time she wants after the curse is activated, and it only takes about 15 seconds. Her agressive trait sometimes makes her magic lash out if she gets angry.
Witch side: She is the most powerful witch to ever exist. The only problem she has is with complex precise spells, because her magic isn't predicable. She can do magic even in her wolf form or phoenix form.
Phoenix side: If she dies, she turns into phoenix and can fly around. She can also locate any fires in 68 miles. She can combine her wolf and phoenix form, and turn into a wolf with wings and beak.
Personality: She has trauma so sometimes she kills people. She is very snarky and sarcastic. She likes horses and baby seals. She is very protective of her family (but they're all dead so).
Story: As baby, she saved the whole world by showing her wings to Mud monster #2, who worshipped her ever since. Her mother Hope died when she was 12 months old and her father Landon died when she was 14 months old. Rebekah and Marcel died due to their vampire enemies. Kol and Davina died to a dragon. Caroline Forbes is the only adult that Aspfonia has left. Currently Asphonia is being hunted by a Star monster (monster using star material to kill, destroyed Arcansas so far).
Famous quotes: "I would die to see my parents again."
"I have trauma and abandonment issues."
"I'm a Mikaelson, I have to carry on."
"I'm the most powerful being alive. What does that say about me?"
"Shut up, I could kill you with a twist of my finger."
Occupation: Miss Mystic Falls, founder of Splyx, owner of Peace, student at the Salvator's school for Magical creatures
Love interest: Star monster
Friends: Enzormy Bon Bennet (witch), Diamona Elena Salvatore (vampire), Stefanie Jenna Salvatore (doppelganger), Jeremy Salvatore (human), Lizjoss Saltzman (siphoner), Alarine Saltzman (human), Jessica Mooney

I love Hope I love that sheās a tribreed but my thing is the is no synergy between her identities like she never combines her powers shes either casting a spell being a wolf and a vampire. Theās never a mix. Hereās how I wouldāve done it
Instead it being 3 identities in one these identities combine to create a tribreed. Imagine her vampire identity giving her a longer lifespan and healing but without having to consume blood sheās technically alive but she might die we donāt know when maybe a thousand years maybe 50yrs. Her spells are boosted by her vampiric side which is why she can cast spells more casually than the average witch
I donāt know how her wolf side would work considering wolves arenāt explored that much in this series aside from the hybrid stuff maybe she kill someone to excess her wolf form
I donāt know Iām open to ideas

Made a Dark Josie edit to Living Dead Girl, she deserved a better villain arc. Kaylee Kaneshiro played the bad guy role like a total boss.

Rewatching this scene, itās wild how different Lizzie and Josie felt in Season 1. Theyāre twins, but they handled almost everything in completely opposite ways.
Lizzie was loud and confident on the surface, while Josie was quieter and kept putting everyone else first, especially Lizzie. Underneath all that, though, they were both dealing with their own insecurities and trying to figure out who they were apart from each other.
That contrast is a big part of why their relationship worked so well early on. They could drive each other crazy, but you could always feel how much history there was between them. And knowing what was coming for them made some of those early moments hit even harder.
When you first watched Season 1, which twin did you relate to more, Lizzie or Josie?

Upon rewatching the series, I was already well aware that romanticizing toxic relationships was a huge thing in the TVDverse & I really do feel like itās okay to like problematic characters so long as you arenāt delusional about them being problematic.
However, I feel like when the first season was out I was reminded of Yellowjackets a little when it came to Josie/Lizzie & Shauna/Jackie. Both Jackie & Lizzie were heavily disliked by their respective fandoms at first so much so that people would assign false negatives that deeply misinterpreted their actual personalities & the actual story.
Shauna/Josie (who hilariously looks like Lottie, I thought she was played by Kaylee Bryant!) both display rage fueled, vindictive, & cruel behavior in both their pilots (Shauna having sex with Jackieās boyfriend when Jackie expressed wanting to have sex with him then demanding he say he love her & Josie setting Penelope on fire) but people really have tunnel vision towards Jackie/Lizzie as they āvillains.ā
Penelope however fails to earn my sympathy about being set on fire because she drugs MG to make out with him in front of Josie. Hello? She gave out pens to spy on the whole school becauseā¦reasons I guess? Bullied Lizzie to āweakenā her so Josie could kill her & was her ableism was INSANE. She expected Josie to choose her over her family, rather than even talk to Josie she chooses to break up with her & start a bullying campaign.
Penelope calls Lizzie a black hole as if she isnāt the one who has been harassing the twins for an entire year. Then she has the nerve to try to give Josie a letter about going to Belgium & when she leaves Josie blames Lizzie for her NOT READING IT? The fandom was under spells during season one because why did everyone cheer Penelope & Josie like this?
Josie never spoke up for herself & while Lizzie should have been willing to listen, Josie never opened her mouth about what she wanted. She seethes when she doesnāt get it, & then lashes out. She is extremely ableist towards Lizzie blaming her for every problem & then in S3 sheās shielded from the consequences of her Lord Josiemort behavior. Lizzie hopping on Alyssa Changās back after Josie snapped her neck was crazy considering Josie never would do the same!
I canāt imagine how much worse Shauna would have been if she had some rat in her ear like Penelope telling her she was the biggest victim in the world who just #deservesbetter.

One thing I keep thinking about is how much time the students spent learning to control their powers, but how little they seemed to learn about dealing with the consequences of being supernatural in the real world.
They faced monsters, dangerous enemies, complicated relationships, and situations where one bad decision could hurt everyone around them. Yet so many problems seemed to catch them completely unprepared.
I get that itās a school for young supernatural beings, not a military academy, but still.
Do you think the Salvatore School genuinely helped its students become responsible adults, or did it sometimes protect them so much that they struggled when things got serious? Iām especially interested in whether you think Hope, Lizzie, and Josie would have turned out differently if the school had handled things another way.

I am considering starting a Legacies Fanfic which would be heavily AU taking inspiration from Charmed (OG not Reboot) and similar shows. I am looking for discord channel, Group Chat or something to discuss with other writers.

Iām rewatching Legacies and something about Hope has been bothering me.
The more powerful she became, the less interesting some of her problems felt.
Early on, Hope could be stubborn, reckless and completely wrong about something. She actually had to deal with other people and sometimes admit that she couldnāt handle everything herself.
Later, when she becomes powerful enough to deal with almost anything, it feels like the answer to every major problem is just āHope will figure it out.ā
And I think that took something away from her character.
Her relationships with Lizzie, Josie, Landon and even some of the people she didnāt get along with were interesting precisely because Hope needed them in ways that had nothing to do with fighting monsters.
Honestly, I would have preferred seeing Hope lose an argument, make a stupid decision or need someone elseās help more often instead of constantly making her more powerful.
She was more interesting when she was powerful and vulnerable, rather than just powerful.

I've just finished season 1 episode 2 and not only the characters but also the storyline in general doesn't seem exciting. Hope is so arrogant, Lizzie on the other hand, is something else. I know I'm not supposed to compare the with TVD/TO but it is really different.
r/LegaciesCW • u/Altruistic_Finding12 • 16d ago
Something I find quite annoying is people constantly mentioning how badly Hope was nerfed and how she is actually weak because she didn't live up to the prophecies she had in the originals, that she would "bring an end to vampires, witches, man kind etc".
Firstly many people completely miss the point of her character, HOPE mikealson, shes meant to be different from her family. She's actually a good person yet many people only feared that she would be destructive is because of how her father was along with the rest of the Mikealsons. Hope never had a reason to destroy the world, she just wanted to live a normal life. Although when she shut off her humanity, she made a couple mistakes just like any person would, shes still different. She's meant to be the Hope not the fear. "You keep trying to set the world on fire instead of living up to what you were meant to be."
Also this often happens with any over-powered character, they need to get nerfed or put up against someone else on par with their power. Unfortunately as cool as it sounds on paper and it can work in comics or books, on screen it doesn't translate as well. Mainly budget reasons, which we know its something Legacies suffered from but also the fact that if a character is too powerful, theres no way a villain can beat them or create any stakes. We saw this with Wanda Maximoff for example, hense why they aren't bringing her character back so often.
I think the reason why they waited to long to turn Hope into the Tribrid because they knew this would be an issue they created themselves. Keeping Hope a werewitch meant she could get tired or weak as she was still mortal. But even then, people complained as if Hope wasn't always the one to save the day, I mean she beat every single character. Becoming the Tribrid amplified that hense why they invented someone like Ken, a 10,000 year old God who still didn't manage to kill her. Although I do wish we still got another season of Tribrid Hope, I'm still greatful for what we got in the end.

A lot of things about Alarics character and relationships with his daughters are a bit odd, but one thing that always trips me up is when Hope comes back from Malivore and is like āyour daughters bf is actually the lomlā and Alaric is just like āyou better go get him thenā basically lol like he wasnāt at all emotionally torn over the fact that his daughter was going to get her broken?!?!
PS I think Josie and Landon had way more chemistry
r/LegaciesCW • u/zeehun • 18d ago
So will it get better? I decided to give Legacies a chance. So far I don't like Hope, I don't like the twins. Alaric hasn't changed a day considering it should be some 18 years later and he's now a human.
And then that dragon CGI in episode 2 of season one really made me question if I should keep watching.
Is it written by different people who have no clue about the TVD universe? Didn't they get enough budget ?
I will try stick around but I really hope that the characters become more likeable and the CGI just a bit better

Why didnāt Kol, Davina, Marcel and others visit.
Only Freya visited like 2 times.
I mean the school was constantly under attack and now body showed up to help.
I mean the funeral in season 4 didnāt make sence. The family gathers to help Hope but nowbody goes to Mystic Falls to help her fight a literal god who wants to kill her.

Iirc, s5e12 had Dark Hope use GlacƩ solidatur. For one time, and I don't think it was ever shown where she learned this spell.
But since Lizzie knew this spell in the Gremlins episode, it at least means that it can be found at school or in Freya's grimoires.
Malivore is made out of mud and black magic from 3 supernaturals.
Beyond just personal limits of one's use of magic, what exactly was stopping Hope, Lizzie or even Josie (tho she's clearly more of a pyro) from...using ice spells against him and his monsters?
And if water is a requirement, Hope's water torrent spell. Or just any existing water source, like the Falls. Or even the sea.
And if they don't want to freeze the target to death, why not use Aquam Alia, or just use whatever available water source to first wet the target (like a puddle), and then just focus the ice spell around the surrounding target only?
And while ice spells may not kill or destroy Malivore, it should be able to stop most of his monsters.
And since he's still made of mud, even with black magic, Hope can still use this ice spell to stop him long enough for her to use her blood to destroy him.

Rewatched Salvatore the Musical š That was the best episode. The songs were actually good. I would genuinely pay to see this as an Off-Broadway musical lol. Chris Lee singing Hello Brother - chefs kiss.

I love a good Vamp | Wolf | Witch - and realized recently I havenāt seen any of the shows from this universe. I started with Originals - and had a decision to jump into TVD or Legacies. I went with the shorter one (by seasons) to save what I figured would be the better of the two remaining shows for last.
I donāt hate the show, I actually like it for what it is. I know itās a little āmonster-of-the-weekā format and definitely not as sofisticated as The Originals, but I swear as of S2 Ep7 - Landon is just nails on a chalkboard to me. Positions himself as a truth-teller and human lie detector - but has absolutely ZERO concept of time or place. SUPER jealous, and oddly pompous for a guy who shares his ability with Dumbeldoreās mail deliver pet.
TLDR: does anyone else find Landon to just be a whiney know it all with zero concept of time or place? Also, the Walmart look a like of Jackson so there is a tie back to Haley?
Thank you for joining my Ted Talk.

When DJ confronted hope in the gym in S4 she attempted to see if she could make her humanity flicker or even figure out how to turn it back on, she mocks hope on her clinging to her defense mechanism and hope shoots a lecutio at her which we see josie easily reacts to. My question being How fast is josie reacting? Because if you really think about the short distance between hope and josie and hope being a tribrid meaning she can clearly raise her hand extremely fast and say the incantation of "lecutio" and we see that it's moving far faster then it was earlier when josie and hope was fighting in the boxing ring back in S2 I think. So that makes me question, how fast does josie actually have yo be moving to perceive and react to it effortlessly because assuming lecutio doesnt move at the actual speed of lightning and is instead just extremely fast that surely had to put josie at around The speed of sound because its not like hope says the incantation and then fires the spell by the time she C in "lecutio" the attack fires and and it reaches josie almost instantaneously šš i might genuinely be looking too hard into this but if josie is capable of reacting to a speed of sound attack should that not place her above 90% of characters in TVDU
