Urgent: Looking for an advocate in Delhi who can teach me the litigation. Passed out in 2021 from Law Faculty, DU. Eventually, I was preparing for UPSC and unfortunately I couldn't make into it. So, there was no option for litigation. But now, it's my necessity. I have good command over law subjects

Law grad (LL.B.) looking for in-house legal / legal ops roles, any leads or advice appreciated

Hi everyone,

I’m a law graduate looking for my first full-time role and could use some help from this community.

About me:

  • LL.B. [AIBE status: appearing in November
  • Currently interning at a UK-based SaaS/fintech company (expense management and receipt processing), working under a supervising lawyer
  • Work so far: researching and explaining legal materials, plus exposure to UK-law-governed SaaS contracts and POS system integration
  • Based in Maharashtra, open to [Pune / Mumbai / remote / relocation]

What I’m looking for:

  • In-house legal roles, legal associate positions, or contracts/commercial roles
  • Interested in tech, fintech, and SaaS companies in particular
  • Open to [junior associate / legal executive / contract-to-hire] positions

What I’d like help with:

  1. Any openings or referrals you know of, or companies that actually hire freshers for in-house legal
  2. How to get noticed for in-house roles when you don’t have a big-law background
  3. Whether the UK-company internship helps or hurts for Indian roles
  4. Anything you’d have done differently at this stage

Happy to share my CV in DMs. Thanks in advance, and any advice is welcome, even if it’s blunt.

Should I gain work experience in tax law in India before going for LLM abroad in International Tax Law?

So for context I have completed my graduation in BBA LLB (Hons.) in 2026 and right now I have been going into much thought of making my career in taxation law. I had a keen interest in Direct and Indirect taxes since 4th year. My main aim was always to practice law abroad but given the pandemic in the start of my legal journey I had to do my law in India. And now with the whole H1-B visa issue happening as of now things look unclear as to chances of immigrants getting a visa to work.

Disheartened by this, right now I am doing prep for civil services but I don't see my mind into it much lately and am seriously thinking of my legal career. I know that a lot of my classmates are currently doing jobs in legal firms and only after a few years will they opt for LLM. And once I remember talking to a renowed AOR who practices in the same field even they said- Get some experience only then go for a Tax LLM. What should I do?

Corporate/M&A Internship — How Do I Prepare for a PPO? Looking for Expert Advice and Free Resources

Hi everyone!

I have a summer internship lined up with the Corporate and Commercial (M&A) team at a law firm, and I really want to convert it into an assessment internship and eventually a PPO.

I want to prepare well before joining and become good enough at the work that the team genuinely wants to retain me. I know I need to study the Companies Act, Contract Act, FEMA, relevant provisions of the Income Tax Act, etc., but I'm unsure how to approach everything practically and systematically.

I'd especially love advice from people working in corporate/M&A at law firms:

What should I prioritise learning before the internship?

How can I develop practical skills in due diligence, drafting, transaction documents, and deal structuring?

What actually makes an intern stand out and earn a PPO?

Are there any good free courses, resources, YouTube channels, or publicly available deal documents you'd recommend?

Are there Telegram channels or other platforms where I can find free access to corporate/M&A certification course materials? I'd prefer not to spend money on paid certifications right now.

I'd really appreciate advice from associates, partners, or anyone who's been through this, especially in Indian law firms. Even a roadmap of where to start and what to focus on would help a lot.

Thanks!

Seeking Legal Internship Opportunities for January 2027 | FinalYear BBA LL.B. Student | Corporate Law & Legal research

Hello everyone,

I am a final year BBA LL.B. currently looking for legal internship opportunities for January 2027.

I am particularly interested in corporate law, commercial law, contract drafting, legal research, taxation and compliance. I have previously interned with a taxation and legal compliance firm, worked with legal professionals in courtrelated matters, and gained exposure to legal research, documentation and contract drafting.

I am eager to gain practical experience, learn from experienced professionals, contribute sincerely to assigned work and strengthen my skills as I prepare to enter the legal profession.

I am open to opportunities at law firms, corporate legal departments and in house legal teams, particularly in Delhi NCR, Jaipur, Dehradun or other locations offering suitable opportunities.

If anyone knows of firms currently accepting January 2027 interns, has advice on approaching recruiters, or can share relevant application links or referrals, I would be extremely grateful.

I would also appreciate guidance on how final-year law students can make the most of their internships and improve their chances of securing a PPO.

Thank you for your time and guidance.

Guys let me be honest Nmims law isnt worth the money you invest the fee is expensive moreover youll have another 3 -5 lakhs for the cost of living nexus it doesnt have a proper residential campus its a worst option as you have seperate food aswell as accommodation charges and coming to the faculty its pretty much good but its not the type of faculty which is reasonable for money we pay but its doesnt have much opportunitities and placements..,infact its jist a corporate building which tries to conduct all the activities in the moot court it doesnt have campus life it almost feels like campus doesn’t have place it deels like entering a corp office rather than law school well its okay as it gives off corp law vibes but it doenst give law judiciary vibes ,in conclusion its a good option for people who dc about roi and let me be honest its not for middle its not worth the money
