I hand-painted this custom oil portrait of this gentle black Labrador, based on the original photo his human shared. Do you think I captured him perfectly?

Young kids and a puppy
I have 5 kids - 2.5, 4, 10, 14, 16. We were offered an 8 week old Labrador that could come home soon. We have an acre of fenced yard, I’m a stay at home homeschool mom and my husband works from home.
Am I insane for considering adding a puppy to the family with young kids like this? My youngest will be 3 in April. I have been wanting one for so long and was just offered a puppy (for free!!) from a friend that just had a litter. It’s so tempting for me. Bad timing to add a pup to the family? I had a pug previously but went through the puppy phase prior to having children. I’m mostly nervous about the biting teething and teenager phase. Thoughts?

advice New puppy for the family?
My family has the option of getting a puppy from these parents, half golden retriever half Labrador They were both rescues so the current owner is unsure if they are working or show lines. Do these look like working line dogs? I have young kids in my house so I’m trying to decide if this puppy would be a good fit for our family. She will be 8+ weeks old when we receive her. less

Is she injured?
This is my 8 month female black english labrador. She's always been fine but last night I noticed something funny on her walk but then it got normal. She didn't do her usual last poo of the night and this video was before she did her poo this morning. I've no idea if it's related to that but the poo came out normal anyway. I'm worried she's injured. But during the walk only that minute that it was noticeable, after that she seemed more normal.
Edit: she was still walking weird after so I went to the vet, she said all was normal, did an xray. But saw that she had a bunch of little things in her intestines I think. Which I think it's my wall's baseboard that she's been tearing apart 🥲 She's doing some medication for it, thank you all for the help and concern.

photo We got ourselves a true puppy!
Ridiculously cute but I had forgotten how much a puppy is especially when you constantly have daycare and boarding clients.
He will no doubt be very well socialized!
