Hi friends - like many of you, I've been frustrated leading up to this election with the tired talking point of "Labor hasn't done anything!!" (I blame the media environment)
So as a side project over the past month, I've put together a website to compile all of the Labor government's achievements over the past 3 years.
Website: https://www.albosteezy.com/
I want this to serve as a resource for people to share around the internet and hopefully raise awareness of how effective this Government has been.
To that end, I want to share this website on a few subreddits and spread the word a bit.
However, I want to ensure I don't spread any misinformation, factual innaccuracies, or miss anything important. So I'm hoping to get a bit of a crowd-QC - please check out the website, give me any feedback, suggestions, etc. - and share it around!
This is a huge election for Australia, and the information battle on the internet is going to be a huge part of it.

Only recently found out that the ACT has a system where rent increases are generally capped at 110% of the growth in rents CPI, unless an exception is approved. So if rents CPI went up 3%, the standard maximum increase would be 3.3%.
Why don't we have something similar in Victoria? I'm not talking about freezing rents forever, just putting a reasonable limit on annual increases so renters aren't getting hit with massive increases that have nothing to do with their wages.
I'm currently sleeping in a home funded through the Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFF), and I'm genuinely grateful for that. I applaud the parties that helped get the HAFF deal over the line, because social and affordable housing makes a real difference to people who need it.
My politics aren't as simple as just picking one major party, either. I put minor parties ahead of the major parties on my ballot, but the ALP will always be ahead of the Coalition and One Nation for me.
I want broader reform, but I also recognise the importance of policies and funding that have helped people like me. I'm not going to pretend Labor and the Coalition are interchangeable just because I disagree with Labor on some things.
I'm curious where people stand on controls on annual rent increases specifically. Would you support Victoria/elsewhere adopting something along the lines of the ACT model, or do you think it would cause more problems than it solves?
If it can be done federally even better, but I’m guessing a Victoria gov would have the easiest senate.
I'm interested in an actual topic on annual rent increases, What would you support?
I should also add by saying I’m in talks with people once long term ALP voters who are considering voting third party from feedback from the kids and also the media. The parent who gives a shit about the kids vote is strong. They also mention a range of topics, the longer term the voter the more annoyed by MP’s ignoring and emails fwiw. Anyway I digress

What the hell is she doing, calling it disgusting when Labor tries to protect abortions, yet they say nothing about One Nation playing "disgusting politics" when they are planning on banning it!
