Also, in case my bestie's gf is reading this, I hope you and your girlfriend get to see even more movies together someday in the near future than we saw šŸ’–

(She isn't good with keeping spoilers to herself though, and she's been like a sibling to me since college, so thought I should warn you; don't trust her with spoilers girl, lol)

DiscussionšŸ’¬ Everybody's going home for the puja holidays; roommate just left a few hours ago, and theirs like 3-4 guys who hasn't gone home yet. The hostel is quite all of a sudden, and it is getting lonely for me too. It's weird. Gonna be this way for 3 to 4 days 😿

I wanted to go home as well, but flight fares are too damn expensive and I have never travelled by train before. 😭

NEWSšŸ—žļø (source required) Transgender woman can't invoke Section 69 BNS in false promise of marriage case: Allahabad High Court

Thumbnail

The Court said that a transgender person has a separate identityĀ under the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019.

"The above definition of transgender person clearly shows that even if a person was assigned gender as a male at the time of birth and after sex reassignment surgery, he became female or if a person was assigned gender as a female at the time of birth and after sex reassignment surgery, he became male then it is clear that transgender man/woman will still be a transgender and not the male human being or female human being. The word 'woman' mentioned in Section 69 of BNS includes only female human being,"Ā the Court held.

However, the Court clarified that a transgender person can invoke provisions of the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019 in case they face sexual abuse of any kind.

"Section 18 (d) of the Act, 2019 provides that any harm, injury, including physical abuse, sexual abuse, would be punishable under that section with the imprisonment of up to two years. Therefore, specific provision providing punishment for sexual abuse of a transgender has been made under Section 18(d) of Act, 2019,"Ā the Court said.

It also noted that the the Parliamentary Standing Committee of Home Affairs in its 2023 report before the Rajya Sabha had recommended that necessary amendments be made in the BNS to bring a transgender woman within the purview of rape.

However, the report was not accepted by the Parliament and the word 'woman' under the BNS does not include a transwoman, the Court said.

DiscussionšŸ’¬ Why do us queer men feel unwelcome in BL fandom ?

• Upvotes

I am a bi guy and got into BL a few months ago, I liked some of the series and have been watching them. Some of them were very good, but I feel like a lot of content was targeted on young girls and I've seen a lot of Indian women content creators too on Instagram. They are the dominant audience too.

What I don't like is when I see reels and edits of these series and post a comment or two, the same fan girls kinda call me weird and try to exclude me from their sphere. Like it's ironic. They watch queer content and are homophobic. Also I see a lot of them try to defend themselves that they do not support LGBTQ+ just because they watch BL

I can understand if they are straight actors or idols like BTS, but that is a BL drama series and it kinda lost its meaning with all the fangirl thing if you ask me. Even a lot of series are actually produced in a way to please young girl fans.

Advice šŸ‘‹/ Helpā— How to remove someone from head

I have a huge crush on a straight guy. Been already told about him in few posts of mine. But it's getting larger and larger everyday ig. It's like whenever he is around I feel weak or smthng. Thing is he gives me the least attention of everyone tho I like him cuz of his cute little feminine characters. I am also in near his rooms in hostel so I see him daily. I always want his attention on me. He's like somehow in my chest and doesn't leave my mind. I've cried hard for this same guy one time before but I thought I left him. But now I'm getting crazier everyday. I can't say anything to him only thing is he knows I'm gay. He still doesn't care despite coming from a village. I just want to get him out of my mind idk how to..or else I should cry again for not obtaining him. Like he don't even care about me but why my mind still goes around him idk😭

TW: S****dal thoughts

Hello everyone.

I have posted a lot of times here looking for advice or just to rant.

For little context: I’m a 25-year-old woman being forced into a marriage that I don’t want. I’m pansexual but not out to my parents; I’m also gender-questioning, but I don’t have it in me to figure it out now.

I have reached out to the women helpline, and hopefully will be getting a place in a shelter space soon.

I feel like I’m making a huge mistake and that I should just get married to that person. This feeling has consumed my mind most of the time, which makes me feel scared. But I don’t want to ruin this guy’s life. I’m being emotionally blackmailed by my dad (that he’d o** himself) and that’s what makes me feel like I'm making a mistake.

Consider this as a rant too because I have been keeping it all inside my head and feel like it will explode (won’t be complaining if it did explode).

I have been doing this all alone. I know people have gone through worse situations alone and came out of it. So this is not me complaining; it is just me wishing someone had stood by me. That being said, I’m so grateful for the counsellor and the person from the helpline who was very understanding.

When I was young, I hated being alone, and somehow wanted to spend my time with friends all the time (which was unrealistic). When I was around 17, I accepted that I had to live with this loneliness. I started hating people after that; started isolating myself more; most of the people at college don’t even remember me. This continued and since I didn’t think I would make it, I didn’t care (told myself that I didn’t care).

This is my relationship with loneliness/being alone. This time, it feels really bad because I’m actually alone with no one to back me up. Sometimes when I open reddit, I see people posting about their brother/sister’s coming out story; about how they want to be supportive; it makes me jealous, wishing I had someone who could be there for me.

It’s all okay because I don’t see myself li**ng past 30. I can manage that long. It still hurts sometimes and I feel like I forgot how to speak haha.

Thank you for reading this far.

TL;DR: I’m trying to escape a forced marriage and I'm scared that I’m making a bad decision. Also the rant about not having anyone to support.

vent/rant Just finished watching the love hypothesis

So I won't give any spoilers, but it's basically, you know, two straight (super attractive) people falling in love, and, you know, as with any romantic movie, you start imagining yourself in their shoes.

But then, you know, I realized just how fucking difficult it is for gays to experience something even remotely similar, especially a slow burn where you start off as strangers, then become friends, and eventually fall for someone. As a demisexual person, it just feels like a dream.

And in our case, we have to first figure out if the guy is even into guys, and then whether he's single, whether he's emotionally available or still stuck on some ex or some situationship, and whether the attraction is mutual, and if there is of course, sexual compatibility. And God forbid if you live in some place with small gay population.

I know that dating apps exist, but there's something so unique and beautiful about getting to know someone without any expectations and then gradually falling for them without even realizing it. Idk, watching the movie just made me realize how many extra barriers that we have as gay men to finding love🄲

Advice šŸ‘‹/ Helpā— Feeling Left Behind When It Comes to First Experiences and Genuine Connections

Hey folks! I wanted to ask something, especially to those who have a little more life experience pron in tere ealry 30s or mid 20s

How did you navigate your first romantic experiences? How old were you, how did the connection happen, and what did you learn from it?

Honestly, I’ve been feeling a little lost lately. It’s hard to find someone genuine, emotionally available, and stable around my age. I want to experience a meaningful connection too, but sometimes it feels like I’ve been waiting forever, and I wonder when it will happen for me.

After reading so many posts here, I sometimes worry that finding a genuine connection is harder than I imagined. I also wonder whether I’ll be able to maintain a relationship when I eventually find someone. What if I lose interest, things don’t work out, or we turn out to be incompatible?

Sometimes I think about whether I should simply be more open to casual dating instead of waiting for something serious. But I’m not sure whether that’s genuinely what I want or whether I’m just feeling lonely and impatient.

I’d love to hear your experiences. How did you meet someone you connected with? What were your expectations, and what did you learn about yourself along the way?

I’m not looking for explicit stories rn, just some honest advice and perspectives. I think hearing from people who’ve been through similar feelings might help me understand things better and feel a little less alone.

Thanks for reading! ā¤ļø

Advice šŸ‘‹/ Helpā— Need advice. Wanna move out...

Hey I'm a gender fluid transman and i am dependent on my mother for money and finacenes I'm pursing BSC chem in Sy currently. The problem is I'm out of the closet. I'm also kinda Pansexual so It's like my mom's and aunt thinks I'm like this caus I'm making myself trans no bro i never consumed queer content I realised slowly and accepted it. My mom has been getting abusive placing restrictions on me that I can't go out with friends. I can hang out only certain time I'm tired of this she misgenders me daily even if she knows she says I'm her daughter I am not. She sometimes gets physically abusive and she emotionally abuses me it's like she wanna make me dependent on her. She's emotionally incestous caus she acts like a possesive partner. I am not even allowed to have a partner or be in a relationship that's bullshit. She calls me a sex worker, hijra, chakka etc I'm tired of this so tired I have depression so itll take to get a job idk how to deal with it. Rape would be too bad word but when I'm suicidal she doesn't care! I go to therapy alone and am on meds. I'll say it's mental rape caus she forces her choices on me. I'm so done with her. No longer wanna live it's not about the gender she just wants to control me like a doll. And when I disobey I get abused. Even as a girl she used to control what I wear. She's like its my responsibility not to get r**.

Advice šŸ‘‹/ Helpā— Advice related to SERM

I am an assigned male at birth and do not feel like a typical masculine guy, but I also do not want to be a girl as I'm more of a non binary person. I would like to acquire some feminine features, such as feminine fat distribution, without developing breasts. From the research I have gathered, there are ways to achieve this using low-dose estradiol, SERMs (Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators), or androgen receptor blockers. However, I do not know where to seek medical consultation or get these medications. I am also quite concerned because I haven't seen many posts from people discussing this online. If anyone has experience with this or is currently going through it, could you please help me?

vent/rant Just wanted to get this thing out of my chest. Ex-Situationship texted after dumping me.

Post image
28 Upvotes

I met this guy on Grindr in early 2024 and I fell for him. We exchanged numbers and used to meet regularly for hook up at his place. Things got a little serious (at least for me) when he started to say ki "tum time nikaal kar aaya karo, time spend karenge saath me jyada", those kind of stuff.

But when I started to get more close to him, he started to pull away and then finally this thing got ended (he ended it saying let's be practical, there is an age difference, this won't work out, I was 21 he was 29). Matlab approx 9 mahine me khatam ho gaya. It was not even a proper relationship but it had a very deep impact on me.

I did not expect this incident to hurt/trigger me so much that I started to go therapy. Things are way better now thankfully.

I maintained no contact with him (usne text pe explicitly bola tha ki "don't text/call me ever"). He texted a "hi" after a few months and I ignored it. and aaj subeh wapas yeh text (attached screenshot).

What does he really want. He even moved to different city around the same time when he ended things with me.

I want to be honest, I miss him every day, think about him every day. I want to block him but I don't thinking this whatsapp contact is the only medium left to be kind of connected with him but I really don't want to interact with him, I have already hurt myself a lot because of him, ruined by last 24 months because of him.

Just wanted to rant this as I don't have anyone to talk to.
