Hey all- I'm starting to prep for the LEED AP BD+C v5 exam and came across Projectific. They seem to have a pretty good deal on their study materials and practice exams, but I wanted to see if anyone has used them and would recommend them?

I used the free GreenCE course and GBES practice exams for my LEED Green Associate and found both super helpful!

Hey everyone,

I'm currently preparing for the LEED AP Building Design + Construction (BD+C) exam and wanted to check in with the community.

For those who have taken the exam recently:

• What study materials or practice tests did you find most helpful?
• Are there any specific credit categories or topics you'd recommend focusing heavily on?
• How was your overall experience with the question format and difficulty?

Any tips, study guides, or resource recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance

I am currently preparing for LEED GA v5 exam and I would like to to know what to expect in the exam. I have studied from the GreenCE learning modules and LEED core concepts guide and have been taking practice exams online.

I want to know if i should get myself familiarized with all credits and prerequisites (including points breakdown and multiple options or paths under each credit and their contribution).

Hi everyone!
Does anyone have a copy of LEED v5 Reference Guide for Building Design and Construction (July 2026 Edition) which you would be willing to lend or sell secondhand, or know where I could access it at a discounted price?
I honestly don't have $300 to spare on a reference guide right now, so I'm hoping someone here might be able to help! I’d really appreciate any recommendations or affordable study resources. Thank you so much!

Looking for the best study materials or prep course. I work full time (and often overtime) with two young kids, so I need something structured and efficient that I can fit in at night/weekends. I’m already NCIDQ + WELL AP, so not new to professional exams…just short on time. What worked for you? How long did you study, and any prep courses actually worth the money?

I hope you are doing well. My mother is taking LEED Green Associate exam this weekend, and I was wondering what are best last minute mock exams and documents for preparation? She done Udemy course(includes 6 Exams), 30 questions on the website, and that's about it. Does she have to know anything else before taking the exam on sunday? I would appreciate if you can help. Thank you

Hello,

Do you guys have any free ressources out there to prep the AP exam? Such as mock exams and cheat sheets.

Thank you

I was wondering if anyone here had completed the v5 HIA requirement for a project and gotten it approved. I’ve done a lot of research and analytics over the years, but this was tricky and I’m curious what others experiences have been.

Hi all, I graduated in 2024 with a Bachelor's Degree. I studied Interdisciplinary Science and Environmental Studies. I have been having a hard time getting a job, even remotely related to sustainability. I am not an architect, interior designer, or consultant. But I am wondering if getting certified would help my chances of getting a job. I have just started looking into this, and it sounds very interesting, but I guess I am wondering if you can get a full job just doing LEED certifications (once you get the AP accreditation i assume) or if it just a bonus most people get in addition to their existing job of designing buildings. interiors etc. Thank you all!

I’ve recently registered for the LEED Green Associate (GA) exam and I’m trying to start preparing. I’ve been looking at the official study materials, but unfortunately they’re quite expensive for me at the moment, so I’m not able to purchase them right now.

For those who have already taken the LEED GA exam:
What study materials did you use?
Are there any free or affordable resources you would recommend?
Are there any good YouTube channels, websites, practice tests, notes, or study guides that helped you prepare?
If anyone has older/previous study notes or resources they no longer need, I’d really appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

Any recommendations or help for study materials would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! 🙏

Used the GBES LEED GA Platinum Exam Prep course to study (free through work). Managed to get about the majority of the way through the course and felt confident going into the test.

I was fully expecting not to receive my results immediately so it was nice to walk out of the exam knowing I had passed.

I’m planning to use the same site to continue studying for LEED AP.

Just wondering what the main differences are in practice.

If a developer had the option of choosing between the two, what would actually be the benefit of going with one over the other?

Is one generally cheaper or easier to achieve a high rating in? And from a sustainability point of view, do you think one of them actually goes further than the other?

Interested to hear from anyone who has worked with both and which one you prefer.

Hi everyone! I’m based in Wellington Newzeland with an architecture background and looking into getting LEED certified.
Can anyone guide me on the steps, costs, study resources, and exam process in NZ? Also, is LEED worth it career-wise here, or would Green Star be more useful?
Would really appreciate advice from anyone who’s done either! 🙏

Received this email today. Wasn't expecting results until October.

What study guide does everyone think is the best?

Hi everyone, I am preparing for the LEED AP v5 exam JULY 2026and looking for updated study guides or reference materials (July/latest edition). If anyone has useful resources, links, or advice on where to get them, I would really appreciate your help! Thanks

Hi ,

I'm trying to prep for the LEED Green Associate V5 exam, but can't find any free materials. Would someone be willing to share or point me towards free sources other than GREENCE?

Thank you

Hi all,

I recently took the LEED Green Associate Exam and am turning my focus to AP BD + C now. I am fortunate to have my firm cover exam study material, however they only have v4 material and have said they don’t plan on getting updated material until the exams are past their beta phase.

If anyone has any recommendations for study material, (preferably nothing I need to pay for), or any other insight on how to prepare for the v5 exam, I would appreciate it if you shared.

Thanks in advance!

I am wondering is it possible to combine the LEED green associate V5 exam with the AP BD+C beta version? I saw that the beta AP one is discounted and I am hoping to take both at the same time.

I am looking to expand my practice and researching the different sustainability certifications. I am zeroing in on either LEED by USGCB or Green Globes by GBI. My preference right now is leaning towards Green Globes just for what appears to me a simpler interface. Obviously LEED has a bigger brand recognition but I'm not sure I like how they divide all their different credentials, seems a bit too granular for me. I like the simplicity of green globes where they only have a few credential types. Both seem to accomplish the same goal and both are widely recognized by US Federal and State codes and requirements.

Any thought out there about this?

Thanks

Hi all,

I got frustrated trawling through PDFs to study certifications like LEED GA V5. I've worked in education for 15 years and asking a student to prepare for an exam in this manner would be difficult and then going to another site for practice questions means the content lives in multiple places. I wanted to design a system to track my study progress and build in retrieval practice throughout each module. I worked on mapping it and designing it and just launched the prototype.

There are 50 free founding places available for free with full access to the platform and mock questions. This is handy for anyone preparing or studying for the LEED GA V5 examination.

The only thing I ask is to shoot me message with some feedback on your experience using it.

I hope you find it useful. scorecardstudy.com
