My Kitten My brother found this kitten and brought him to me to care for temporarily... now he's mine 😂

My brother found this kitten in the cold abandoned a few weeks ago and brought him to me to care for because I'm the crazy cat lady with plenty of my own and the catch all for all animals that need love.

That being said this guy was NOT supposed to stay and be adopted by someone else as I have plenty of fur children of my own. Now a few weeks in and he follows me like I'm his mom, sleeps on me any chance he gets and already knows his name- Nolan (Officer Nolan iykyk) and safe to say he's not going anywhere.

Funny how cats always find their way to you when you need them most. I'm having a very rough postpartum period and was struggling with depression and despite him coming from a clearly terrible place of abuse I can't tell who needed each other more.

Just wanted to share the cuteness 😭🥹

Question/Advice Needed Advice on kitten biting and energy

Hi gamers. A few weeks ago I adopted a little orange boy, at just 5 weeks old. I'm more than aware that I shouldn't have gotten him until 8-12 weeks, and that was originally the plan, but I had to take him home early out of fear that he would go missing like his other siblings. (They lived in a farm and 5/7 of the kittens went missing at once, later found like. A week or so later).

Now having this fella has been a blast. He's about as orange as one would expect. He's about 8 weeks old now, and it feels like he just has limitless energy. He CONSTANTLY wants to play play play play play, and I've been playing with him, giving him toys to encourage independent play, he has a lot of string and wand toys, but he never seems to tire. I think?? This is normal, I've never raised a kitten before (we got my current cat when she was 1-2 years old, she's now 9.)

My issue is that the little guy loves to bite me and my roommates. It's cute until my arms are littered with bites and scratches. I've been trying to redirect, not engage with hands, to go limp. But the little fella is super keen on biting the heck out of me. Is there a better way I can teach him? I realize I'm in charge of teaching him everything he should've learned with his mom, and I don't wholly expect my 9 y/o cat to step up and suddenly be a mother figure (quite frankly I don't think she really cares about him.. plus they can't meet face to face yet).

I just want to do right by him and help him be a happy cat that isn't an ankle / arm biter. Do they ever tire out? Is he just teething? I'm not sure. Any advice would be helpful :(.

Chintu was 3 months old when this video was taken and he had super tiny teeth. While he wanted to test the limits, all he could do was give warm gentle bites with his smollllll mouth.

What is this brown rock on the cat toys? It’s making them go crazy but I’ve never seen catnip in a hard form like that. Is it catnip???

Question/Advice Needed Appox 4 week old kitten walked onto our driveway, advice for food recommendations

Hello all! My partner and I found a black kitten yesterday. She had extremely gooey eyes and nose, we went to a 24/7 vet, and diagnosed her with a upper respiratory infection. We left with all the proper meds and hopefully a speedy recovery! We do have a 2 year old cat also, we are keeping the two completely separated until kitten is fully recovered and follow up with vet. We found our first when she was a little bigger than this gal we recently found and she had less health issues so it was bit easier the first time around. Vet estimated her to be 4 weeks. At this point do we feed her a pate with the kitten formula mixed in? She weighed 0.60kg as well. What food recs has worked for y'all, how long did you feed your kitten the diet, and any suggestions on assisting kitten with eating. She managed to eat on her own when we were luring her to us, now she seems a little hesitant, understandably so with the new environment and it a little difficult for her to keep her eyes open do to the mucus (we do constantly clean her eyes and nose). All suggestions/advice is very much appreciated!! I will try to remember to update after her recovery! Thank you all!

Question/Advice Needed How to solve this problem with 2 cats

I have 2 cats a mom and her son, basically her son love to always stay in my room maybe even the entire day and only goes out if he needs to go to his litter box or to eat. The thing is the cat mom always fight with her son shes always annoyed by him whenever he passes by her she has to hiss at him or try to hit him, so I cant have her in my room when I miss her bc prob her son would be here and as soon as she sees him in the room she'll leave. So i figured out maybe one cat would be in the cat tree in my room and the other on my bed so they arent that close to each other to fight and both have their own personal space while I have both of my cats with me BUT I noticed when doing so the son always I mean always whenever he sees her in the cat tree he tries to jump at the cat tree area shes in and take her place when shes drinking he sprints to her and tries to also move her away he never leaves her alone and not in a "bonding" cute way, I think thats why she hates him. So now when I have her in my room I take him and get him out of my room and close the door because he will try to get in, I mean Im not locking him or anything he can go around the house as he likes but he gives me a sad look and stays sitting beside the door until I open it. What am I supposed to do? (english isnt my first language so grammar might be off)

Question/Advice Needed Found a Kitten

I found a kitten behind the office under a pallet. I took him home because I didn’t know what else to do. My husband and I have a dog, never have had a cat. We took the cat to the vet and they estimated him to be around 3 weeks old.

He had an injury, so we’ve helped care for his wound, fed him, and got him back to 100% health. We’re back and forth on keeping him, but it’s been almost 2 months since I found him.

We live in a house, and we’ve tried to make it kitten proof. We’ve bought scratching posts and cat towers. He was escaping the area we ended up making for him and got past baby gates/cat gates. We even went as far as installing a sliding door in the hallway to give the cat more space.

When we’re home, we try to let him downstairs with us and the dog to spend time. He wants to be in the same room as us, but is constantly trying to chew and jump and is destructive to furniture, etc.

We’ve tried training, redirecting, rewarding for good behavior. But none of it works. I’m so tired and defeated.

The newest issue is, he’s learned to open the sliding door. He’s probably around 11 weeks old, and this door is 80lbs.

Someone please offer any advice or hope that it will get better.

Question/Advice Needed Socializing New Kitten

I am a new kitten mom and I am trying to raise her so that I can take her traveling with me. I'm trying to introduce her to all different sorts of situations to get her used to it. I was looking to see if there are any types of zoos or aquariums that people can think of where I might be able to bring a leashed cat? Any other fun ideas to bring a kitten, I'm open to as well. Already we go to Tractor Supply and Home Depot and things like that. I'm just trying to find other ways to acclimate her to life on the go.

Picture for tax. She's actually gotten really good about being in the car in her backpack.

I got her 3 diff cat beds, comfy blankies
But alas she refuses to sleep alone. I had to train her not to nibble on my arms (by ignoring / stepping outside of the room for 30-50 seconds) she stopped after 3rd attempt.

She has only ate tiny amount of food, some treat and very little water

She’s gone potty and pee fine.

Is it normal for kittens to take time to eat, also should I try different foods?

I bought the best of the best, wet and dry food (that’s what PetValu people recommend, but she’s not munching on them) played a lot, warmed up the wet food tiny bit but no bite :(

This is my first pet. She’s 3 months old

hi :)

my baby kitty is 4 months old now, and i’ve been feeding him a wet food diet since i adopted him (two month ago). i want to start feeding him dry food for his development and to make my life easier. i wanted to ask if you feed your kitten dry food or a mixed diet, what do you feed them? i’m looking for affordable and healthy options!

thanks
