Hey everyone, I plan on getting back into the sport after selling my karts. After speaking with some people, I am blessed to have sponsors, but they’re asking how much the season will be. I plan on running ka100 and lo206 with a team at a mix of regional and national races.
Upfront I’m picking up:
Used enclosed trailer, 2026 otk chassis, bbs blueprint ka100, coyote lo206 package.

All in all, I plan on spending around 35k next year. Is this a realistic budget?

I’ve recently purchased my first kart and im rocking a comet KT100. I’ve only ever driven rental karts. I’m going to take it to the track today after work and was wondering if you guys could give me advice for jumping from rentals to KT100. Or should I just slap a 206 motor on it and don’t even touch the kt100

I am working on restoring this old parolin kart, might be the First model with the weird brake pump design at the pedal. As shown in the photos the fuel tank cracked. Where should I buy the correct model as I don't think anyone makes these models anymore with this design?

I even have asked aimi and it seems rather unclear. They are dif sports yet it be like theyre not? Like basketball and football are dif sports yet they still use the same word in it ie Ball. So like, with Go Karting without the Go it becomes karting so they seperate so whats the dif btw the 2 sports?

I wanted to start karting and i booked a 3x10min session but after the first one i felt really really bad from motion sickness and vomited after and now i feel kinda sad since i probably wont be able to kart or drivea real car on a real racetrack. Is there any like way to minimize the motion sickness

I currently have on my Birel kart fitted the AM29 calliper with the 19/b master cylinder. I cant seem to find any thing online on how to bleed them, so tried how I would on an OTK. But this has not worked and has only made the pedal even worse. I have a race in a weeks time. PLEASE HELP

Hello fellow Karting redditors,

Few years ago I found myself racing in Karting league with the rentals but they didn't have lap timers. I'm an engineer and started designing my own solution. Given that I rent the karts, I didn't want to have to worry about mounting and dismounting any gear that I could potentially forget about.

My solution is a small piece of hardware that attaches to my helmet and connects to an app I developed for android/apple smartwatches to interface/display real time info. I wear the watch with the screen on the bottom side of the wrist so that I can see it without my hands leaving the wheel. When the race ends, the watch shows me the time for each lap. The race data is also recorded to a microSD that can be extracted to the PC for a deeper analysis.

For those of you that do rentals, if I were to launch this and sell it, would this be something that you'd buy for around $250? it would include the device, helmet mount and an app for the smartwatch. Please ask any questions

With most karting championships coming to an end, I'm curious how everyone prepares for the next season. Do you take a complete break from racing, or do you keep training throughout the winter? My son races competitively, and we're planning to focus on simulator practice, physical fitness and improving specific driving skills during the off-season. I'd love to hear what other drivers, parents and coaches do. Any interesting training routines or exercises that actually made a difference for you?

It looks like there is a new updated version coming out in March 2027 that has a replaceable battery, version one had an inbuilt battery with a life of around 2 years if used 15 hours per week.

Anyone able to give a review of their experience?

I own two tracks in Florida. One is an outdoor sprint track with gas rental karts, about 0.4 miles, that I've had since 2015. The other is an indoor electric track I opened last year in a converted warehouse 20 minutes away, mostly arrive and drive plus corporate groups.

They have always been on two different policies with two different agents, because the indoor one came with a landlord who had opinions. Both renew in January and I'd like to put them together if that's possible, and find out what I should be paying while I'm at it.

Things I don't know. Whether indoor electric and outdoor gas get rated the same. Whether accident and health is worth having for drivers on top of general liability, since right now I only have it at the outdoor track. And whether junior karts and league nights change the picture.

If you run rental karts, what does insurance cost you a year per track? I've only ever seen my own two quotes.

I’ve recently transferred my Rotax Max (non-EVO) engine from my old 2014 PCR chassis to a 2021 Kosmic Mercury chassis.
The problem is that my current engine mount hits a crossbar behind the seat, preventing me from moving the engine further back. Even with the engine pushed all the way back, my 219 chain is still too short.
Ideally, I’d like the engine to sit a bit further forward, with enough room to adjust the chain tension. I usually run a 75T rear sprocket.
I’m considering buying this OTK angled engine mount⁠.
Would this mount solve my clearance issue? Is it more compact than a regular engine mount, or should I just use a longer 219 chain?

Mostly what do i clean my Rotax with. I use i think R11 spray for the chassis, but it doesn't seem to work. What spray do i use for bodywork, chassis, and cooler? And do i remove all the things or just bodywork and wheels?

Basically I went out for a test day then noticed my brakes were very weak so I pulled in and my dad could literally push me with my brakes all the way down then when it was on the stand we could spin the rear axle with brakes all the way down. And I'm wondering since my race is this weekend do I take the chance and try to fix the tony or drive my vlr that I haven't driven since may, but I would have a full day of testing to get comfortable in it.

Hi everyone, I bought an Insta360 X5 to film my 2-stroke go kart practices and races, but I'm really hesitant and concerned about the camera's weight and size on kart-mounted brackets due to the high vibration. On top of that, mounting it on my helmet doesn't seem like the best idea either. Because of this, would it be better to swap it for a GoPro? Do you guys recommend any specific model? Which 360 setup is the most popular by the drivers?
