Friends, how are we dealing with the cyclospora outbreak? (USA)

I don’t want to stop juicing. But I’m a little concerned about the current outbreak. Thinking to avoid bagged greens, berries, and herbs. But I love basil and blueberries sooo much. I wash my produce in theives, but might start washing in ACV and baking soda. Anyone else taking precautions?

Juicing and TCM

Hi guys
I was about to purchase a cold press juicer to assist with my autoimmune disease. I am unable to eat any vegetables due to the textures but now my TCM doctor has warned against it because it’s considered too cooling.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to drink the vegetable juice without it being too cooling for the system?

Should I get a manual or electric orange juicer for home use?

I have mostly been squeezing oranges by hand, but lately Ive been making juice more often and my hands are getting tired of it. Trying to figure out if an electric orange juicer is worth the counter space or if a decent manual one does the job just fine. I usually make one or two glasses at a time, so I don't need anything fancy. what would you go with these days?

Appreciate any advices, thank youuuuuu!

I purchased a kuvings slow juicer about a month ago and noticed that the seam on the screw/auger is so wide that fruits get stuck in it and it is very hard to clean. I have to use a sharp knife to dig out the food. Is this normal or is the part defective?

hurom h70 won't open - any tips?

I just made juice in my Hurom h70 and now the machine will not open, so I cannot clean it. I read up on this a bit and tried the recommended solutions: running the machine in reverse, and also doing a water flush while alternating between running the machine in reverse and extract, but so far nothing I tried has made a difference. It seems to be completely locked shut. Any suggestions about how I can get it open without breaking it?

DAE's lips get a bit itchy/hot when drinking their juice?

So I juiced some red cabbage with apple🍎 🥬 and I also separately juiced greens with habenero peppers, garlic and ginger.

My lips burn and even itch a bit when I drink. My face even kinda started tingling/itching a bit. I'm afraid of an allergic reaction but there's no swelling or respiratory reactions so I wondered if it's just the heat of the spice 🫚

Why do much 💩?!

A few months back I attempted a 30 day juice cleanse but I had to stop at 17 days because I was having diarrhea multiple times a day. After I ate some food and could think clearly again, I think I did two things wrong for my body.

  1. I did not drink enough water. I thought the juice would be enough.
  2. My body cannot handle the sugar in fruit juice. The only fruit I somewhat tolerated was pineapple.

I’d like to try again with these tweaks in mind, but I’m wondering if anyone has successfully done a juice fast with nearly all vegetable juices? I see so many people having a great experience with fruit juices but that just wasn’t the case for me. On the other hand, my body seemed to tolerate the green veggie juices just fine. Is ok to just use greens?

Also, maybe this is obvious but I gotta ask…would adding collagen or chia seeds to the juice be defeating the purpose of the fast?

Best Cold Pressed Juicer? Happy to spend some money but its just for home use

Im new, keen to get into celery juice. Had a poor experience with a so called cold press juicer that really only worked on apples, but not the veg goodies like beetroot or celery. Im happy to spend upto around $1k Australian. Its just for home use. Im more than happy to spend less if there is a good option, just not sure what is worth buying

Prolonged juicing question

Hi - apologies in advance if this is the wrong place to ask this...

I recently discovered I had a pretty profound health issue that needs immediate intervention. I am considering doing an extended juice fast. I have done five and seven day water fasts in the past, and have been reading up on Joe Cross.

I know he had blood work done, but I don't see many options for doctors in my area, so I am considering ordering my own labs, but I was curious if anyone else has done this - either just done the longer fast on their own or if they incorporated any labs.

Kuving Auto 10 smoothie attachement

I’m attempting to use my smoothie attachement for the first time. I looked up some YouTube videos but there’s not many I found. I threw the fruit in and turned it on and it stopped almost immediately. Do I need the fruit to thaw out?

For those with a Nama J2, how do I prevent this hole from jamming?

Post image

This hole gets clogged so easily whether I’m juicing celery, pineapple or even with mango sorbet. It seems like I only get 2 minutes of use before I have to disassemble and clean it out. What am I doing wrong? I even started cutting my fruit smaller

What are some beginner juices for someone who hates vegetables

I'm trying to get healthier and I absolutely do not like vegetables. I've never eaten my entire life. I've only been able to eat them if they're hidden within food and I can't taste them. Same thing with smoothies.

And I know the option is I could probably just take the smoothies but I would like to start also doing a little bit of juicing as well and I'm wondering what combinations of fruits and vegetables can give me a good amount of healthy vegetables but mask The taste with fruits

I know that fruits are not always the best in the juicer but I can always blend the fruits and mix it with the juices from the juicer of the vegetables

Thanks y'all!

upgraded to Hurom H70 and love it!

I have an Omega Vert from years ago, I don't know exactly which one it is. A few days ago I received my H70 and looooove it.

I juice cabbage every day for my stomach so to me, an expensive juicer is worth it.

the biggest reason I got this one, is because I've heard it's easy to clean. I cannot scrub and properly clean the omega every day, sometimes twice a day. The H70 is sooo much better. It doesn't have a million places for the cabbage to get stuck and it actually looks clean and new when I rinse it off.

the second thing is people complained about the pulp with this one. Maybe that's with different veggies, but there's no pulp in the juice. With the omega, there was pulp and sometimes it was a little annoying, but I can make it work, so I figured, I could make the H70 work if it gives "so much pulp". Well, with cabbage it doesn't. I can't speak to other veggies but each time I juice I'm like, where's the pulp?

Other things are that it is so much quieter, it's very speedy, and the juice tastes better(probably because of buildup on the omega). I love that I can load my cabbage, hit the button, and go do something else.

It was soooo worth it to me and I love it

Best citrus juicer for home use - handheld or countertop press?

I've been juicing a lot more citrus lately and my little handheld press is starting to feel like a workout 😅

Mostly oranges, lemons, and grapefruit, sometimes enough for a few glasses at once. I’m considering a countertop press if it’s faster and gets more juice out without being annoying to clean

For anyone who’s used both, which would you choose for regular home use?
