After market LED head lights and taillights

• Upvotes

Hello everyone I was hoping I could get some help l. I installed aftermarket led head lights and tailights. Now my back 3rd brake light flickers and then stays on when I brake. What's the easiest fix? The tailights did come installed with resisters. Thanks in advance.

Ducking

I've never been a duck guy. I'll never hate on the tradition, it's just not my thing. I got ducked the other day for the 6491663895626 time and I usually just throw them away. However, I got to thinking....should I save them and duck people because I don't want the duck? Does that make me a hypocrite? I live in an area where off-roading is huge so Wranglers are a dime-a-dozen. Mind! Blown! šŸ˜œšŸ˜‚šŸ¤£

Took the jl through mud, and my floors lost badly

Went out on some muddy trails with the doors off last weekend. Had a good time, but cleaning out the Jeep afterward was a pain. The mats I have now are fine for everyday stuff, but mud got past the edges and ended up on the carpet, especially around the sides and under the seats. Took way longer to clean up than I expected. I'm thinking about switching to something with higher sides and better coverage around the center tunnel and footwells. Not really worried about how they look, I just want something that keeps most of the mess off the carpet and is easy to pull out and rinse. For those of you who actually take your JL off-road, what floor liners have held up well? Or is pulling the carpet and coating the tub the better move at this point?

Advice on Selling Factory Soft Top

Hello,

I'm not actually selling anything here per the rules but just looking for advice on best site or way to sell a 2018 JLU Sport 2.0 Turbo Factory soft top that came with our Jeep. The Jeep was black, the soft top is still untouched in its original box from the dealer. I don't do Facebook so what's my best option, E-Bay, Craigslist?? It has to be local pick up. I'd only be asking $750 so can't imagine would be too difficult to get rid of..

Any suggestions appreciated.. TIA

Floor drain access and retention-post sealing on a Wrangler JL

I run my Wrangler JL with the doors off all summer, so sudden afternoon thunderstorms inevitably leave water in the footwells. When I pulled out my old floor liners to reach the floor drain plugs, I noticed water had seeped through the retention-post grommets and pooled against the factory metal pan underneath. I want to keep trail mud off the carpet while still being able to pull the drain plugs easily after heavy rain. On a Wrangler, is a raised grommet seal or a removable plug cutout better for managing water??

So I need a new radiator for for 2010 JK Wrangler Sports Unlimited.

Is this radiator fan replacement, is it correct? It looks overall similar but slightly different as non-OEM is. But the pin configure on the plug is different in the picture.

Any feedback please?

Advice pls! Bumper guard that fits Baja LP6 lights on Wrangler 392

I ordered a 2027 Wrangler 392 Moab with warn winch and standard steel bumper and love the Baja designs LP6 lights. Trying to find a bumper guard that will work with these lights and not block trail cam, headlights or tow hooks and looks decent. Looking at Mopar triple hoop, mopar winch guard, Maximus 3 Classic hoop and others. Anyone found a bumper guard that fits the LP6 lights and if so what mount did you use?? I even called Baja Designs and totally unhelpful…

Gas gauge error

I rented a Wrangler in Hawaii and used it to summit Mauna Kea. A gas gauge error nearly sent me into a panic. Just wanted to flag it for folks.

The rangers at Mauna Kea operate a checkpoint to verify that you have at least a half a tank before proceeding to the final summit at 13k feet. The gauge stated we had a half tank and approximately 120 miles left in range. We proceeded up the summit.

When we got the to the summit, the gauge indicated we had approximately 100 miles of range left. I parked on a slight incline and turned the car off. When I turned it on again the gauge stated we had 40 miles of range left and significantly less gas in the tank. As we descended the gauge and range dropped precipitously until it was under 10 miles estimated range and showing ā€œempty.ā€ I nearly panicked and essentially coasted down 13k feet. The ranger conducting a brake check on the way down stated we might not make it to the main road. As an aside, the car also forced itself into neutral on the way down, which also sucked.

After a sketchy descent, I turned the car off to assess my options before getting on the main road. When I turned it back on the car suddenrly stated we had 40% of a tank left and a 90 mile range. It was no longer on ā€œemptyā€.

This seems like a bullshit error for a car intended to climb mountains. I understand that a range may be an estimate, but the gauge shouldn’t show less gas than reality. Hated it.

Learned my first real water-crossing lesson, and the carpet is still damp

I hit a washed-out low spot after the rain yesterday and got more water in the cabin than I expected. It wasn't a movie scene or anything, just enough to make me realize I was way too confident. I thought the Mopar-style drain mat setup would take care of it, but water apparently still found its way under the carpet. It still feels a little damp underneath near the seat brackets. My buddies are split between "pull everything now" and "it's a jeep, relax." Has anyone dealt with this without stripping the whole interior on day one?

Tires for 21 Sahara

I have 18x9 wheels with -12 offset. Looking to get bigger tires for a more aggressive look without a lift. Toyo at3 in 305/60r18 or falken at4 in 285/70r18? Will either of these fit without a lift?
