In an interview question directed to Sam Reid:
"[Lestat] just gets back up again and tries to make the most of it. He doesn't always do the best thing with it, and it often affects a lot of other people around him, but there is something very special in a character that can kind of just brush himself back off and keeps going. And I think that he is aspirational in that sense... I've learned to go 'Good on you, good on you, Lestat.' Yeah, he's got stick-to-itiveness."
This is one of the most relatable quotes from the lovely Sam-stat. It's so hard to work through humiliation, burnout, imposter syndrome, etc.
But hearing this from such an amazing actor, playing such an iconic character... it reminds you that
1. Work environment matters
2. It's so hard to put yourself out there
3. You are probably your own worst critic - please give yourself some grace
