It's more expensive to take my dog to the vet to have 1 tooth extracted then it was for my horse to have his eye surgically removed and a 2 night stay with the vet.
Make that make sense to me, because i can't.
I have a senior dog, she has a bad tooth that needs to come out, im guessing its going to cost $300-400 max, so when the vet gives me an estimate of $900-1400 depending if more than 1 needs to come out i honestly thought she was kidding.
She. Was. Not.
This is rural Alabama. WHO in the podunk, redneck high hell is affording this?
One of my horses needed to have an injured eye removed, his entire bill after transport, surgery, and after care was pennies under $800.
My equine vet litteraly comes to me every 3 months, does a full check up, parasitic check, any vaccines that need to be updated, floats teeth for 6 horses and its half the cost of the single extraction.
I can not fathom how many people just cant swing it and opt to put their pet down.
Im so lucky that i can get my ol girl taken care of, so so lucky and im not throwing shade at anyone who couldn't
I just do not understand how that's remotely reasonable.
SO INFURIATING!
