Adoption After years of rescuing cats, these are my adoption requirements.

I recently put together a post explaining my adoption requirements and why I’m so strict when placing my rescue cats.
Some people may disagree with certain rules, and that’s okay. My goal isn’t to make adoption difficult it’s to make sure every cat ends up in a safe, responsible, and permanent home.
I’d be interested to hear what other rescuers and adopters think. What adoption requirements do you consider non-negotiable?

Stray Cat Found This Little Guy Near a Highway, What Breed Is He?

Post image

Found this little kitten near the highway and decided to take it home, even though I have absolutely no experience caring for kittens! 😅

I’m still figuring out its food, diet, and general care, so any beginner tips would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I’m curious, does anyone know what breed this little one might be? 🐱

A little about Chiggy

🧡 Female orange kitten
🐾 Fully litter-trained
💊 Dewormed
💉 One dose of Tricat vaccine completed; rabies vaccination due by 23 October
📋 Vaccination records available
🍽️ Eats dry food happily and drinks water independently
🪄 Loves wand toys and is an absolute purr machine! Also gives the cutest kisses
🏡 Independent little girl: Comfortable sleeping alone overnight and managing on her own for several hours. She enjoys company but doesn’t need constant attention, making her a lovely fit for working couples who can give her quality time before and after work.
🐈 True to her orange genes, keeps playing with her tail

Chiggy’s story began on a rainy night. Abandoned by her mother, she spent days crying and climbing a tall tree, searching for safety. After 3–4 days of patiently luring her with food, I finally managed to rescue her. She was initially frail, frightened and unfamiliar with indoor life. Today, after more few weeks of love and care, she has blossomed into a playful, confident and affectionate little kitten.

❤️ Looking for her forever family

Chiggy can be a little shy when meeting someone new, but once she feels safe, those tiny purrs begin the moment you pet her. She doesn’t even wait for me to pet, she starts purring the moment she smells my fingers!

I’m looking for a loving, stable home where she will be cherished. Ideally, a family or couple where everyone is on board with welcoming a new member and providing her with the care, patience and affection she deserves.

If you or someone you know could give this little girl the loving home she deserves, please reach out on 9035720784. She is going to grow up to be an amazing companion for whoever chooses her.

Fundraiser - Mod Verified Please help me save my cat, Kutty. I'm scared of losing him too. 💔

Hi everyone,

I'm writing this with a heavy heart because I honestly don't know what else to do.

The orange cat in this picture, Kannu, passed away yesterday. I'm still heartbroken over losing him, and now my white cat, Kutty, is also sick with feline calicivirus (FCV). He is currently undergoing treatment, but I'm struggling financially to afford his medical expenses.

Kutty is not vaccinated, and I'm terrified of losing him too. After losing Kannu, I really can't bear the thought of losing Kutty as well. I want to do everything I can to save him, but my financial situation is making it very difficult.

I'm not someone who usually asks strangers for money. I created this Reddit account because my friend suggested that I reach out to this community for help. I'm trying my best to save Kutty, and I'm asking for help because I genuinely don't know what else to do.

The vet confirmed the diagnosis based on his symptoms, so no blood test was performed. Because of this, I don't have a blood test report to attach as proof. However, I'm sharing pictures of Kutty receiving treatment so you can see that he is currently being treated.

I completely understand if you don't feel comfortable sending money or if you have doubts about my situation. That's absolutely okay, and I don't want anyone to feel pressured to donate. If you are unable to help financially, I kindly request that you share this post with anyone who might be willing to help us.

Even a small contribution would mean so much to me and would help me manage his treatment expenses. I'm also willing to share the available medical bills, prescriptions, and treatment updates.

I've already lost Kannu, and I'm desperately hoping I won't lose Kutty too. I just want to give him a chance to recover and live a healthy life.

Thank you so much to everyone who takes the time to read this, shares this post, offers advice, or helps us in any way. Your kindness means more to me than I can express. ❤️

Adoption 🚨 URGENT ADOPTION APPEAL — GAURI NEEDS A HOME BEFORE 28 OCTOBER 💔

📍 Location: Gurugram, Haryana, India (Delhi NCR)

Meet Gauri, a four-month-old female kitten looking for a safe, loving, and permanent home. Her current foster is leaving on 28 October, and we urgently need to find her a suitable adopter before then. Unfortunately, we haven't found a foster or adopter yet, and we're running out of time.

🐾 About Gauri:

- Adorable, playful, and lovely with humans.

- Needs to be the only pet in the household.

- Due to her trauma and territorial nature, she cannot adjust to living with other cats or dogs.

- Needs a safe indoor environment and a patient, responsible caregiver.

🩺 Medical condition: Gauri has been diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). Her latest test results are FIP-negative, but her treatment is still ongoing, and her veterinarian has advised continuing her medication. She will need proper medical care and veterinary follow-ups. Her medical reports and treatment details can be provided to a serious adopter.

We are looking for someone financially stable who can provide her with proper food, medical care, a secure home, and a lifelong commitment. Please consider adopting only if you can take responsibility for her ongoing treatment and future needs.

We are genuinely worried about what will happen to Gauri if we cannot find her a home before 28 October. She is only four months old and deserves the chance to grow up somewhere safe, surrounded by care rather than uncertainty. We cannot guarantee what comes next if no suitable home is found, which is why finding someone now is so important.

If you can adopt Gauri, please reach out. If adoption isn't possible, please share this post or connect us with a trustworthy adopter or rescue organisation.

Please help Gauri find her forever home before her foster has to leave. Even one share could help us reach the person she's been waiting for. 💔🐾
