Governance The amount of hate on the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman is disgusting - Actual data shows otherwise
While the performance of the current Finance minister show macro stability, controlled Inflation and relaxed tax slabs, the amount of hate thrown on her in Social media is disgusting.
Most of it has nothing to do with the reality but ignorance + malignance.
The Income tax slabs have been revised continuously in the past 10 years with the current Nil tax until 12.5 lakhs which is historic and unprecedented.
She's also blamed on things like Road tax, property taxes etc. that are at the state govt level and municipal level.
The previous FMs who had far poor performance on the macros + taxes were not trolled or memed like this. A lot of this has to do with her gender and caste and is just disgusting.
