Found an extra smol floof on the porch. He was happy to hide in my hood while I bought supplies.

~Update for yall, my wonderful girlfriend just got home from the vet with the tiny criminal. And as it turns out, SHE is 6weeks old (the kitten). We have decided her name is Tortellini the Shadow assassin, and her specialty is toes.

While on vacation, we spotted her hiding near our Airbnb. She was 6-7 weeks, but only weighed as much as a 5 week old. It has been almost 2 weeks and we have brought her home with us to the PNW. She is getting used to her new cellmate, who now looks absolutely giant in comparison.

He gets to be our office cat for a while because he’s so young and needs fed every 4 hours. My coworkers son will be adopting him when he gets old enough.

Emily was found on the side of a farming road at 3wks old. She is the smallest kitten I've had and I can't imagine life without her now 🥰

Taken in by animal control for loitering in the rain at CVS, given to the rescue I work with for some time on the inside. I think he deserves a pharmacy-related name and I would love some input.

She was under my wife’s car, clearly trying to steal the CATalytic converter.

My little one's eye ruptured last night. She needed emergency surgery. The vet was nervous because Ichi is so, so small. Just about half a pound. But my girl is a fighter and a champ. She's currently curled up with her foster sister after happily eating her slop. I might have to keep her after what she's been through/put me through lol

Not much of an update…because Micro is doing great! Awake more, curious, eating, peeing, pooping - all the normal kitten stuff! 😍 She’s back up to her pre-illness weight and yells constantly for food and attention! 😂

I will likely return to posting only once a day or every couple of days since Micro has recovered. That’s actually a good thing - it means nothing crazy is happening! Thank you to everyone who has been supportive and encouraging. I can’t tell you how much it helped me get through the scary times! Micro and I love you all! 💕

Good morning! Look who’s awake and surveying his* kingdom! That trembling you see is very normal in young kittens. It’s due to weak muscle tone (also normal at this age) and an immature nervous system. I haven’t weighed micro yet this morning.

*I am notoriously bad at gendering kittens and I’m questioning if Micro might actually be a girl. Photo in comments - let me know what you think!

Hi guys! Sorry it’s been a minute - I finally got to take a week off and go on vacation. Micro came with me! Because she was still needing to be bottle fed (her pre-molars hadn’t come in yet) it was easiest, and best for Micro, to join me at my family reunion! It was really good for her. She got to meet a lot of new people and even some young(ish) kids! At first she was very wary, but after about 24 hours, she decided that people seemed to be generally ok! She got lots of naps, cuddles and even new toys!

Once we got home, Micro’s pre-molars had fully erupted (that’s the actual term for when teeth come in) so she is starting to learn how to eat real (soft) food! Lots of kittens need time to learn to like the taste of kitten food, but Micro actually really seems to like it! Kittens are similar to human infants in that, while they are weaning, they still want to have a bottle, even if they don’t actually need it. It’s a source of comfort and familiarity for them. She definitely still yells at me to bring her a bottle, which I do give her a few times a day, but she will often eat some kitten food once she’s done with her bottle. So cute! 🤗

Micro is 6 weeks old now and is starting to interact with her foster siblings, though I do have to supervise carefully because the bigger kittens are much rougher than is safe for Micro. I’m still hoping to find her a similar-sized friend. 🤞🏻 Thanks to everyone who checked in on us - we love you all!

My step son(who's keeping him) has named him quake.

He had a bought of the runs but we've gotten through it unscathed. He's eaten only wet kitten food now, so we are totally off the bottle and KMR.

He's tipping the scales at 560 grams. And the GSD(Marek) has taken over full time guard duty. He chased off one of our cats that swatted at Quake and follows him around the house now watching him. One of quakes favorite games is to hide under the couch and when Marek sniffs looking for he lunges out and gets marek on the snout.

Just picked up Simon to take him to reform school (foster care). Let's hope we can save this poor soul.
