For anyone saying that it is the US tariffs, I lived in EU and now in USA. It isn't just the tariffs. IKEA has increased the prices a lot! I just checked furniture I bought in EU during 2021 and many pieces are x4 now. USA is like 10-20% more expensive probably due to tariffs. But the majority of the increase is IKEA and not tariffs.

Es ist echt sehr nervig und auch sehr schade, denn die Ikea ps 2026 Hängelampe ist eine der wenigen Lampen, die ein schlichtes Aussehen hat und so einen Schutz unter der Glühbirne, der das direkte Licht zerstreut. Diese Lampe ist seit Ewigkeiten nicht mehr zu haben und ich verstehe nicht wieso das bei einem neuen Produkt passiert. Wenn es nicht möglich ist ein neues Produkt zu restocken, dann wäre es wenigstens schön wenn Ikea mehr schlichte Lampen mit so einem Milchglasartigem Feature unter der Glühbirne anbieten würde, weil das ist echt praktisch (Und gefragt).

I'm considering buying two of these for my kids rooms because the dimensions are perfect for what I need, but the last time I bought an IKEA dresser that was mostly particle board, it had a chemical smell for a long time and that was frustrating (name is escaping me atm). But then, dressers like Hemnes were totally fine and perfect and I love them.

yesterday I went to IKEA to buy more of these small glass bowls, which are perfect for mise en place! I was surprised and disappointed that I couldn’t find them. I originally bought them in 2021 and lately I’ve wanted more of them. I found them in an archival catalog from 2021 (seen in the bottom left with the blueberries), but they weren’t named. does anyone know what they’re called, if they were discontinued, or where I might find them?

edit: several helpful users have helped me ID them as the 12 cm glass VARDAGEN bowl. does anyone know where I can buy these in the U.S.?

I'm wondering if anyone has recent experience purchasing white Billy bookcases. I ordered a set, and have found that there are cosmetic defects on most of the shelf edges, especially at the ends: I assume glue has leached through the finish. (See photos.) Did I have the misfortune to receive a bad batch, or is this the quality now?

These were shipped to me, and it was a substantial purchase, so it is logistically difficult and cost-prohibitive to return the bookcases. I am trying to decide whether to attempt requesting replacements under the warranty or perhaps to try touch-up painting.

I owned Billy bookcases previously, and I loved them, so this is very disappointing.

I’m looking to get a new couch and love how the hyltarp has slipcovers you can wash and change the colors of. I’m wary to purchase, however, because their website says “last chance.”

Does that mean the Hyltarp is being phased out? Do you think it’s still smart to purchase or wait to see if a new variation comes out?

I have two IKEA BILLY cabinets with doors — one has 3 doors and the other has 2. The plastic part shown in the photo keeps coming loose and falling off on all five doors.

Since this happens on every single door, I don't think the parts are broken. I'm wondering if I'm installing them incorrectly or if there's a trick to keeping them in place.

Has anyone experienced this with IKEA BILLY doors? Does anyone know what this part is called and how it's supposed to be attached?

Would super glue be a good solution, or is there a better way to fix it without damaging the cabinets?

The only way for a 36 inch fridge to fit along my wall is to make the lower cabinet drawers 15 inches. Would this be too small for storing cutlery?

I'm moving out in a few months and looking for a couch from IKEA is so frustrating. The 3 colours available to us are white, beige, grey, and if you're lucky, a dated shade of green. Meanwhile the rest of the world has a dozen shades and materials. Do the Swedes just hate us or something?

Are the controls of the UPPÅTVIND compatible with a smart plug? If the device loses power because a smart plug turns off the device, will the device automatically continue to function when power is restored? Or would a person have to manually use the controls once power is restored?

I want to buy either of these mattresses but I'm not sure how they are different in terms of firmness, sleeping experience. I know the murbo is made from a higher density foam and has an extra layer of some other type of foam but does that mean it's firmer or softer than the lovas?

I want something that might feel similar to sleeping on a traditional firm cotton futon so a firm sleeping surface that doesn't 'give' too much. I hate sinking into a mattress (like you get with memory foam). I have an old basic 10cm thick foam mattress used as a guest bed that I got from IKEA years ago and it's super comfortable.

If anyone can advise how they are different/which one you're less likely to sink into, I'd be really grateful. My closest IKEA store is hours away and a pain to get to (I don't have a car) so I'm going to have to order without trying. Thanks!

In the product description of the BADKRUKA loudspeaker it reads:

"The multi-speaker mode allows you to connect this speaker with all our other Bluetooth speakers that have this feature – and enjoy the same music from several speakers."

I am having difficulty figuring out what "all our other Bluetooth speaker that have this feature" means. Online there are no more details published anywhere where I looked so for. For example, it would be quite useful if BADKRUKA could connect to one or several KALLSUP loudspeakers, but it is unclear if these are actually compatible. KALLSUP does say it only works with KALLSUP, but then again, the BADKRUKA is newer and perhaps the KALLSUP text just has not been updated properly? ...maybe it is all just wishfull thinking. I would like to use one or two BADKRUKAS for the main sound body in the room and distribute KALLSUP loudspeakers to support a room filling immersion on the cheap.

Unfortunately I have no BADKRUKA loudspeaker myself right now to test it, but I would be interested if anyone who bought the BADKRUKA also has a few KALLSUPs lying around and was able to test this. Cheers!

I had designed a whole Ivar shelving setup for my office/storage space, only to find out that they no longer sell the desk/table attachment in Canada?
Managed to find the desk on Marketplace for cheap, only to return to my design and be told it’s no longer available because they’ve trashed the sliding cabinets for it now as well?!

Essentially I can get the drawers and shelves I wanted, and already own the larger cabinet to attach. Everything I want is still available in the US though… infuriating.

I just picked up this loft bed: the seller didn’t know model name and has had it for awhile…

I think it’s småstad but not sure if it’s that or the old model stuva.

Also do we know if the desk is needed for support or if it can be removed?

It’s been long discontinued and I don’t know where I put the fittings for mine. Customer service can’t find anything except the photo of the unit in their archives so there’s no way to order them. Does anyone have the manual or part numbers for the fittings? TIA!

When I caught them outside, they say they work for Purolater. But the photo they took of my building and where I saw them hanging out side is exactly the same. In Toronto Canada.

The IKEA near me was shutting down, so I got a showroom model rug (a green Stoense, 5’7”x7’10”, pictured) for 50% off. A great deal I think, except the display sticker has left residue! And it’s on a corner that I can’t really hide, no matter how I rotate the rug. Any tips on removing this residue? I’ve tried picking at it, spritzing with rubbing alcohol, dabbing it with acetone, none of these made much, if any, progress. Thank you for any advice!

I have two bookshelves and was thinking about replacing one with a matching version of the ikea one I have. I remember it not being too expensive at the time, but looked a year ago and decided it was way too expensive for my liking and budget right now. Just happened to find the old 2021 receipt and I can’t believe it jumped from $150 to $350 essentially… wasn’t IKEA supposed to be budget friendly decent yet cheap furniture…? Where did the $200 increase come from?

Edit: looks like it’s generally risen a bit in other countries n the large increase is US tariffs, thx to everyone else for sharing the costs in their country! Also i hate trump, i didn’t vote for him, everything i hear n see abt him kills me a bit inside wondering how this is even happening. I am aware of how tariffs work and that the people are the ones taking on the financial burden not the businesses. I’m also aware they’re total bs too. I simply didn’t realize that tariffs would make the price jump that much bc costs for everything is just going up constantly. Thx for contributing, hope that clears anything up.
