For anyone with a Holden LS V8 looking at ZZP Performance high-output ignition coils, here's my experience before you spend your money.
I purchased a complete set of eight ZZP coils. Three of the eight were confirmed faulty. I also had ignition troubleshooting and abnormal fuel-trim readings in OBD logs while the remaining coils were fitted. After I removed the ZZP set and went back to ACDelco coils, the severe Bank 2 fuel-trim issue I had recorded was no longer present in subsequent logs.
To be technically fair, the fuel-trim changes don't prove on their own that the remaining ZZP coils caused every issue. The three confirmed failures, however, were more than enough for me to stop trusting the set.
ZZP offered warranty replacements for the three failed coils. I declined because return postage from Australia would add cost and inconvenience, and I had already lost confidence in the product. I would not be comfortable fitting the replacement coils.
This is my personal experience with one purchased set, not a claim that all ZZP products are defective. I wish I had seen an account like this when I was shopping. My advice: weigh proven OEM reliability, the cost of diagnostics, and return shipping against claims of 'high-output' performance before buying.
