Just had a game where a three stack afk'd in QM because I wanted to go twin blade Varian. Within the first minute I said I was going TB and didn't want to go taunt and they said they didn't want to play so they proceeded to sit in base and then talk shit for the remainder of the match. I reported them but there is no moderation in this game so it does nothing. This game will never attract a player base if people are allowed to throw in the first minute without repercussion.

Didn’t even know I could unlock heroes from level up boxes! Lol well I know I’m cursed to all dupes and commons from now on 😩😂

Everytime I play Abathur I'm met with people that completely leave me on an island in the toplane, even when there's an enemy Tassadar relentlessly splitpushing or a guldan who can simply kill the wave with 2 spells. I really feel like abathur is NOT an offlaner, he's not good at pushing waves until level 7 and he doesn't push waves particularly fast. You need someone in your lane to provide you with safety and to make sure that the enemy doesn't just bulldozer over your towers.

I also think he's most powerful when he doesn't have to worry about depushing a lane, where he can help a bit in a skirmish botlane, then hat the wave top to soak the XP and head back to mid to save someone or secure a kill. His global presence is his power, but if you just leave him against a good splitpusher he has to focus all of his attention and resources in 1 spot while slowly losing.

Ofcourse his splitpushing and global presence is insane at level 16/20, but that's not what I'm talking about, his biggest weakness imo is being misunderstood and people not covering lanes with him early game. Take Sylvanas for example, Abathur has absolutely no chance of holding a lane vs Sylvanas, she can push very quickly and she can convert the minion that your hat is on, it's one of the hardest counters to him imo. He just needs someone to cover for him.

I currently play in high platinum and I play him quite a lot in QM as well and in both cases people don't really cover lanes as much as they should imo, it's a lot better in ranked though, it's rare for people to leave you all alone, but in QM it rarely ever happens that someone helps you out.

Special shoutout to the Deckard who was so intent on pushing and not being there for his team.

I'm only level 12 with him, all from ARAM. I usually hate tanking as a heal main, but on ARAM he's so fun because he can set up big bonk.

I'm a Li Li main, I feel like that is important to include because they are both position heroes.

I just did an aram with arthas. I typically do survival build on him with death coil and howling blast.

But this time I was up against a heavy bruiser team and though id try a trait build.

I can't believe I never tried this before. I was top damage on my team with 2 mages. I had 92 stacks at the end and my trait was hitting for over 1k every 6 seconds.

We easily snowballed at the end and won.

If you have never tried it, it is vastly superior if you can live.

What are some heroes you feel everyone seems to hate?

For me, I am going with:

1. Valeera
All stealth heroes get a lot of flak, but I think Valeera gets it the most because she is the most played. Either way, I think the inability to auto attack her is what frustrates most people.

2. Lunara
Poison, and she keeps poisoning you over and over and over again. I mean most of Carbot's animations with Lunara consist of her getting beaten or burnt to death.

3. Abathur:
On your team he is useless, on the enemy team he is always pushing, all while staying at a fort all game. So basically, Abathur is playing a different game than his teammates, and that is what annoy most people.

Hey guys so haven't played in about a year or two, I was mid gold in ranked before and was put into silver 4 after my placement games, but so far my experience in ranked has been quite frustrating, for instance a gazlowe is selected on a two lane map then doesn't go lane, and i as tank have to do it, because nobody else will, then next game a kerrigan plays and finished the game with less damage done than both healers and zero impact on gameplay, then I will play healer, and nobody takes a tank.. normally I wouldn't mind, but its so difficult to get a win as this type of thing is happening in A lot of my games, is this normal? its really tilting me 😄

Love when we all go all healers.

Having been picking up a bit of imp recently he’s got a slow and a stun, some self heal and self shield (in ult). Meanwhile tyreal has less cc and similar survivability albeit I don’t have much experience with him.

So why is one a tank and the other not?

When trying new heroes i never know where to check what their default/optimal/most popular build is, and i know from the heroes i am actually familiar with, that talent choice changes MANY things.
Most websites that pop up after a google search dont seem to actually be written by experienced players who are in the know.
Is this sub really the ONLY reliable source?
Any help is appreciated!

All of his talents seem really good and ive been trying them all out and they all feel good. Is one better then the other? Ive been picking all the w talents and will go light well on maps like braxis holdout dragon shire and volksaya, i go the q level one for when I need burst and more sustain healing. But what builds are you guys going?

Desperation post here. I've been playing since the beta, and have been hardstuck plat for a long time. Made it to diamond 5 once, for like two weeks. That was nice. I am under no illusion that I'm some god gamer - after this many years, I know plat is where I belong, especially in solo queue.

I've taken months-long breaks on and off for years, and recently came back from one such break, only to find myself on the biggest slump I've ever seen. We've all had good and bad streaks, but my winrate is currently sitting at 20%, and this is while I'm playing the same characters I always have, utilizing the same strategies I always have, trying to improve myself by watching replays and guides like I always have. I can't make heads or tails of it. It's depressing.

I guess I don't know what to expect from the replies on this, please just don't flame me too hard. I've been having a hard time IRL right now dealing with some shit and coming back to one of my favorite games and getting my ass kicked so much has been a real cherry on top of the shit cake. You can say whatever you want, of course, but I guess I'm just sad and looking for people who might sympathize. Like I said, I've had loss streaks before, but never a 20% winrate.

What would you all suggest I do?

You are not a pro, you don't need a perfect team comp to win, DEFINITELY DON'T GO AFK cause you didn't get PERFECT TEAM COMP.

Edit: The fact this is somehow divisive is nutty. I didn't pick last btw, but even if I did, going afk is absolute child behaviour. We were doing so well I didn't notice Imp was afk till second skulls, cause we were winning team fights and got 55 skulls.

Just play the damn game.

First game in a long time, coming back and the game is laggy as hell. Not always, but there is screen freeze every 5-10 seconds?

I ask forgiveness to my team for this and they told me they also add the issue all night.

Coming back to the game recently, and i really liked Nova way back in the day (beta/launch to be exact). I know she is currently one of the worst heroes in the game, but my question is: what should be my gameplan with her? Am I supposed to flank? Play front to back? Or just try to snowball the early game? I feel like it is really hard for me to create any oportunities as her.

I dream of an option that I can enable in the quick match lobby that search a match until I got a healer in my team (and on the enemy team as well of course). I don't care if it take 10min more to find a game.

Game without healer are painful to play.

The game already put two healer in each team when you have one and I want those games more frequently.
