As we encroach onto the ban, I’ve been doing a lot of searching online to find the perfect mix of strains and most recent batches dates.

Batch dates have been something I’ve been a little obsessed over, in the sense of having whatever I get to last as long as possible without losing potency. With that, I have a couple questions.

-How long have you in the past, or will be storing your type 3 flower?

I plan on keeping in jars with boveda packs, but how long will it hold up? Right now I still have a few strains from LOF, having 11/2025 listed on their COAs, so coming up on that year mark. I’ve had 58% bovedas in the jars since I’ve received them months ago. (Anybody know if 58% or the 62% are better, and why?). Still have a decent bit left that will last a few months easily, but now searching for most recent batches elsewhere to hopefully last a long while. Since I tend to go through the flower fairly slow, I just worry about wasting the flower and money, if by the time it loses its spark, I still have plenty left.

I saw a batch of Critical Berries from 9/2026 on HCF, two recent batches on Beleafer from end of Aug/2026 (thinking of going with Payton’s strawberry), and there’s a few batches from September on Flow Gardens. Which leads me into my next question.

-Is flow gardens worth it?

I’ve read mixed reviews, many saying they are super inconsistent and some saying product was very dry and harsh, with others seeming satisfied (typically older posts from couple years back). Since I have trouble falling asleep, I want to try an get something high in myrcene/indica dom, and they have some batches from September that fit the profile. A lot of people also mention they are overpriced, but they have a 30% off sale at the moment making their 1/4s $28 before tax/shipping. What do you guys think?

I promised my psychiatrist I would quit weed for awhile. I'm wondering if CBD dominant flower has the same kind of negative effects on ADHD?

Details: CBD: 17.2%, THC: 0.57%

Lineage: Sour Pineapple × Strawberry Chem

Aroma/Texture/Misc: smells fruity/citrusy in the jar and on breakdown.

Vaping: vapes relatively smooth on all temps. that citrus/fruit shines through in the vapor on the first few hits. (Started at 370, stepped up to 400f).

Effects: effects are uplifting. not overpowering. doesn't announce it's welcome. It definitely motivated me to be a little productive (took a walk, made breakfast, emptied the dishwasher). I just wanted to be moving after having this one. I don't consider it great for 'focus' but it has gotten me off the couch the last 2 Saturdays to get some things done.

Overall: it's an absolute banger. glad I haven't steered away from uplifting strains. Great combination of flavor and effects.

I don't know if those growers will come here or go elsewhere on Reddit like microgrowery and such.

Hey, everyone. I’m a user of cbd flower (type 3) and I’m trying to figure out my best options for growing on my own. I’ve been buying from holy city farms and I really like their glacier kush among others. I live in Oklahoma and me and my brother are planning to legally grow 12 mature plants at a time. I’m trying to decide between growing indoors or outdoors. I currently live off grid on 5 acres of land and I would have to clear out a good portion of the land because it is heavily wooded. The soil has a very heavy clay content, so I’m not sure about how well it drains water. I’ve been considering growing in fabric pots around 40 to 50 pound size. I would need to get a rain catchment system set up as well as fencing off the area. I’ve been considering growing indoors, but that would be quite a bit of money for me as I live off grid and would need to create my own separate battery bank and solar panel system to power everything. Does anyone have any advice on how I could get started and what would be best for me to do? I would love if someone had an idea of an easy or cheaper way of growing indoors so that I could build a small shed or a sunken greenhouse. I’m looking for tips and advice in anyway I can take cause I’ve never grown before. If there’s a way for me to grow once or twice a year from spring to fall and have enough to smoke throughout the year, that would be great. Any advice is very much appreciated. I’m new to the low THC hemp scene and just found out that it will be illegal to sell in a month or so. I’m going to use that time to sample as many strains as possible so I know which ones to grow for myself in the future. I’ll list my desirable effects and hopefully you people can steer me in the right direction.

I’ve been sampling daytime strains. So far I have tried Elektra, Lifter, and White CBG. They are all good but I’m looking for evening-time strains that won’t put me to sleep. I have zero sleep issues and have no problem falling asleep but the daytime strains seem to keep my mind busy when I’m trying to wind down. So I guess that I’m looking for calming/anxiety-reducing strains that won’t knock me out.

Daytime strains. Focus and energy are what I’m after. Are there strains other than the ones I previously mentioned that I should try? I’ve ordered some Sour Space Candy, legendary OG, and ACDC but haven’t received them yet.

Any insights are appreciated

I started rotating jars to balance my tolerance and enjoy one terpene at a time. It’s worked out for me. I log which strains I smoked by the terpene profile, then rotate.

Does anyone else follow some kind of system? I'm curious?

I have just realized that the low THC hemp flower I’ve been using will not be legal after December. I will be forced to grow my own if I want to continue using it. At the same time I can go buy as much high THC flower as I want. I realize that they aren’t targeting hemp flower directly, only the high THCA strains, but cbd flower is collateral damage. It’s like a new liquor law that would make non-alcohol beer illegal to sell. The bill was poorly written and there is no reason to restrict hemp flower sales if it is less than 3% total THC.

If you don't like your humidity packs touching your flower Kerr and Boost make these humidity pack holders. The one I'm using is from Kerr, made for wide mouth Ball jars.

An 8g humidity pack fits nice and snug inside. A small hygrometer also fits with the humidity pack, but I prefer keeping mine at the bottom of the jar so I can check the RH without opening it.

I took five drags from a joint I rolled, and I feel euphoric and deeply mellow. This feels like being stoned, but the diet version.

When I got my birthday package from Holy City, the first thing I noticed after the smell (fairly loud. Nice skunk/unique notes from strawberry gelati but the Dr. Theopolis smelled was underwhelming. EDIT: I barely got a whiff straight out of the bag but after I put it in a jar and opened it an hour later, and it smells strongly. )

...was the dryness of it. It is pretty dense, so that can be mistaken but it seems a bit on the dry side.

My question is: the items that Holy City put on clearance, and you can also buy at standard prices- is part of the reason they're on clearance because they over-dried them? And is there a significant difference in clearance flower vs standard odor intensity?

If it's significant I may have to order some regular theopolis

I’ve been Microdosing for a few years and I’ve noticed that the effects are quite different when buying fresh flower when compared to the batch I just finished. I always buy the same strain/brand. I only buy 1/8 oz at a time and this lasts months. When I buy a fresh jar I get a much better effect than I do when using the last of the previous jar. It’s not a potency issue, it’s that the older/dryer flower is missing some of the effects that the fresh has. I’ve tried upping the dose a little to see if the missing effects return and they don’t. The higher dose just causes more impairment and doesn’t bring back the intense body high that fresh flower provides. I currently store the plastic jar inside a larger glass jar and just grind tiny amounts at a time. Is it possible to keep flower fresh for months? Or am I gonna have to start discarding the flower when it starts losing its signature effects that I’m going for?

I’ve tried several different strains from Rogue Origin and never was super impressed with the flower when comparing it to other well known outdoor farms.

It was something that was smokeable and I knew I could get a lot for a good price. $75 1/2 pound of smalls is unbeatable.

But this batch of Lifter is on the level of my favorite farms and at an amazing price. Like man, I could smoke on this all day no problem. If the Lifter has always been this good, then I’m definitely late to the party and have been missing out. I’m surprised no one has mentioned how great it is 😆 Definitely something you’ve gotta try 😁😁😁
