Krissy Cela Krissy Cela on substack
All I'm saying is I hope she has a ghost writer 'cause nobody is gonna have the patience to decipher her own spelling... Girl's delulu.

It's time for another reminder about the difference between snark and shame because lately there have been a lot of posts that are overrun with negative comments about a person's appearance.
To be perfectly clear, here is Rule 8 (but you should really go read the rest of them too): Appearance snark and shaming - We avoid snarky commentary around things about a person's appearance that they cannot change in a few seconds. This includes negative comments about a person's weight, face, boob job, stretch marks, cellulite, rolls, body shape, height, etc. Posts about camel toe will be removed (we don't need entire posts for this); individual comments are allowed as long as they are not vulgar. Do not snark on the appearance of children.
An influencer's plastic surgery choices do not impact their (in)ability to provide fitness content, so saying that someone looks like Voldemort because you don't like their nose is nasty and unacceptable. If they deny having plastic surgery, then that is absolutely snarkable in itself, but you must be respectful and do not need to bash the way they look.
The sub started out as a place to call out influencers on their BS, their scams, their blatant dishonesty, etc etc. In the early days of Gymsnark, we actually did some pretty significant things. For example, we collectively called out Balance Athletica (now Vitality) on their dishonest practices and were loud enough that they were forced to notice. This sub calling out influencers as often as we do made them realize they’re not as invincible and adored as they think they are. Perhaps even more importantly, I think it made them realize that when they scam and lie, we not only notice but speak up about it, and WILL warn others about them.
Unfortunately, the sub periodically slips back into a pattern of BECs and appearance shaming, the moderators get busy removing everything, and people start fighting in the comments about how "it's a snark sub". The sub name is a play on words based on Gymshark, not an invitation for mean girl behaviour.

Before participating, you need to refamiliarise yourselves with the rules. None of them have changed since our last update, yet they are constantly being broken.
Please note that if you are in violation of these rules, the post will be deleted and you may face a ban. You can snark and call influencers out on their BS without being downright nasty. If you see content that you think breaks the rules, please report it so that it comes to our attention and we can deal with it.
As always, reach out if you have Qs. Snark on (but read the rules first)!

Over the last few days this rule has been broken more times than we can keep up with. If you break this rule you will receive a temporary ban, or a permanent ban if you have been warned before.
This is the only warning. Read the rules.

An athlete / influencer I follow (@kiaratheader) just responded to a question regarding Oner (screenshot included). I don’t know much about Oner outside of what I’ve seen on reddit and it seems that unfortunately her experience tracks with some of the negativity I’ve read about. Glad she was able to leave her contract. She’s a really great follow !!
**also this is my first time posting here - so hopefully I didn’t mess up the tag couldn’t find an oner specific one **

Someone posted her the other week making the Cornell case about herself and here she goes again.
Like yes to using your platform to talk about important current events but if you're just gonna be cringe and narcissistic about it then save it.

Has anyone done 1 on 1 coaching with Brittany? She’s transparent about pricing on her website and i haven’t found anything scammy online yet. Thanks all 🙏

As the title asks, I’m curious why so many influencers are recently announcing parting ways with Darc sport? I truthfully have never bought their stuff and I think the brand is cringey. I’m just nosy tbh.

Love a quoted stat with no evidence that he’s sold more programs in the world than any other PT. Bro been taking lessons off Trump

Just uncovered this… Brenda commented on her pic (Jovanys ex of 6 years) calling her “so pretty” right before she stole her man. Brenda is the worst type of girl. Claims to be a girls girl but was friends with jovanys gf and used her to get close to jovany then started dating him. He probably cheated on her with Brenda. Brendas karma will be when she finds out Jovany is using her for clout.

Does anyone think they’re lowkey posting in response to each other? Abby has been posting her 4am morning routines for a while, and recently Sohee posted a sarcastic 4am morning routine reel before her baby wakes up and it’s just her sleeping (and there were associated IG stories around that time about how unrealistic certain influencers are with their morning routine videos). And now Abby is going in on explaining how she’s able to do it. It could just be me but I feel like they’re directed at each other.

I know a few of yall were up for discussing her last time I posted and she’s finally back with an update! Seems like a lot of word salad? Looks like she and her husband are still together. Hope she’s doing okay.

Manipulating angles in the incomparable ≠ progress, including bodybuilding where it’s all about the pose

she's built somewhat of a following by dunking on the "incels" and "men who sexualize women" (which I am FULLY supportive of) as well as tearing down OTHER WOMEN who sexualize themselves for the purposes of engagement etc.
for example she will trash a sydney sweeny type or an OF type and curate engagement by making an engagement post about shane gillis and his "incel supporters" and then reply up and down the comment section with anyone who engages.
the central message I suppose I am generally supportive of.
What I AM NOT fully supportive of however is the fact that she conveniently leaves out the fact that SHE HERSELF had an onlyfans (content still out there) whose sole purpose was built around engaging those same "incel men" and..... sexualizing herself.
She'll pretty much allow any comment except ones mentioning her OF. deleted and blocked.
Frankly idc if you have an OF or not but the whole thing just comes across as really disingenuous and gaslighty.

I’m currently on a fitness journey of sorts while losing weight and looking for creators who aren’t toxic and provide advice for routines and science based content. Jeff Nippard has been a great source but wondering if there’s any more like him that provide that kind of content. I’d love to hear recommendations

The quotation marks are giving someone typed it and sent to her and she didn’t edit it at all

This was a hard hard watch. I don’t know what is going on with her, but I really hope she has someone in her real life to talk to and ground her because if my friends were ever posting this crazy shit, I would be encouraging HEAVY therapy

clearly AI was used for at least some of this, no matter how u feel about AI, it’s sad to see creative shoots not being done by creatives imo. but disappointed in kelly just saying “i obviously was not present for the editing process” - she’s usually super transparent about everything so seeing her put it more on the editors/ brand as if this isn’t a collab she would’ve had a say on creative process in is frustrating

Hey guys! I’ve been following this fitness influencer for a few years now, and she offers a $15/month subscription to a private Instagram account where subscribers are supposed to receive a new set of workouts every week.
She was pretty consistent with posting for the first few years, but this summer she started going weeks at a time without uploading anything. Now, she’s gone completely MIA for the past 6 weeks but is still charging subscribers every month. I know a few people have been asking for refunds and still haven’t received them for the months she’s missed.
I’ve tried reaching out through DMs multiple times with no response. I know some other people are having issues as well…..with both her gym program and home program. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this or had a similar issue with this fitness subscription?

I cannot understand who in their right mind would trust someone who is an unlicensed, uneducated person who’s only credentials are they they are an IFBB pro and that has absolutely zero correlation to working with women’s health, it’s actually incredibly unhealthy to get to that level of conditioning. The mere fact that she says hormones “flatline” is the biggest red flag. 🚩
