MAG/WAG 2026 Artistic Worlds Coverage and Streaming Hub

I've seen quite a few questions these last few days in multiple threads about coverage for the Artistic World Championships in Rotterdam, so I decided to gather all the info in this post. See the pinned post for the full competition schedule.

Qualifications

Qualifications will be streamed for FREE by Eurovision Sport. You should have access to this worldwide. See all the sessions here.

There will be a feed with commentary in either French or Spanish + one camera per apparatus, without commentary. That's why you see 7 different streams for the same session of men's qualification, for example. Fwiw, Charlotte Laroche from Spotgym did the French commentary last year and it was great. I remember even non-French speakers enjoying it. The Spanish commentary was good too iirc.

Finals

Finals will also be streamed on Eurovision Sport, with commentary in French and English. That being said, your local tv provider may have bought the rights to stream finals. In that case, the Eurovision Sport stream will be geo-blocked. You may be able to access it with a VPN. Replays are usually not geo-blocked on Eurovision Sport.

Below is a summary table of local tv providers streaming finals for different countries. I have added the info I could find in the sub so far (thanks to all the contributers). If you don't see your country and you know who's streaming, please lmk in the comments and I'll update this accordingly.

Country Provider
Belgium Sporza (NL)
Canada CBC
Croatia HRT2
Germany SWR on Youtube + ARD mediathek
Netherlands NOS
Spain RTVE + Teledeporte
UK BBC
USA Peacock and NBCSN, NBC

Live blogs

If you can't watch streams or if you want additional commentary, I expect some if not all of these to provide live blogging (based on previous editions). Comment if you know of more.

WAG Floor E scores

• Upvotes

The current code makes no sense to me. These are the best gymnasts in the world and you're telling me not one of them deserves even a 7.9? Not that they necessarily need to calibrate all of the events to be in the same range but its wild that the current top floor score wouldn't even be top 8 on other events.

WAG (NED) Sanne Wevers Announces Retirement

"I really felt it wasn't finished after Paris, and I feel right now that it is finished after this one, because I'm really fulfilled with everything I've accomplished, but also with how I've felt internally at every step on the way here, and with enjoying the sport and having everything in it.

"For me, I could go on forever," Wevers continued. "My passion is enough. But sometimes it's a better decision to say: it's enough." - Sanne Wevers

WAG Worlds 2926 - Skye Blakely Prelims Vault Score

Post image
24 Upvotes

I watched Round 1 on Eurovision live stream to the best of my ability. The stream showed current apparatus rankings but not AA rankings so I searched online for this info.

I found the following website for live results: https://www.gymart.org/en/worlds

Skye is currently ranked first in AA after Round 1. However, her vault score shows as 14.000 in the AA results and 14.066 in the VT results (see attached screen shot).

Is this simply a typo, was the score changed, or am I missing something?

WAG Charleigh Eponymous UB Skill?

• Upvotes

From Insidegym's IG: "Charleigh Bullock of Team USA has submitted a new element on bars that could potentially become named after her. The skill is a clear pike circle backward with 1½ turn. It would have an E value."

Does anyone know if she's ever competed it? I don't think I follow her on social media, so I don't even think I've seen her train it, but I'd love to see it if anyone can share a link...

What would her D score be in theory if she replaced her current 4th pass with the pike half double back.

MAG/WAG Frederick Richard floor ND?

He posted on Instagram that he doesn't know where the deduction came from and thought it might have been him celebrating after?

Commenters are saying 2 stag jumps but that seems like it would be in D or E score, not after?

Was he OT, maybe?

WAG US WAG Lineups For QF’ing

Post image
246 Upvotes

According to Scott Bregman on Twitter, Claire, Skye, and Charleigh are doing the AA, Reese is doing VT/UB/FX, and Dulcy is competing on beam.

Knowing this, I have zero complaints on this lineup. Now, I would’ve loved Dulcy to have had the opportunity to make another floor final. However, she’s more of an outside contender, and far away from being a lock by any means. I understand USAG’s reasoning, as it isn’t 100% worth it to give up an AA spot for Dulcy’s floor, and Reese and Claire are more than capable of contending for floor finals with their 6.0+ floor routines!

Lastly, I’m wishing all of the athletes the best of luck tomorrow, I hope Dulcy makes the most of this opportunity, and I’m excited for worlds for the women to start 🥳.

Edit: To add one more thing, this will be Skye’s debut in the AA at a world championships, and I’m absolutely thrilled for her! She deserves this opportunity so much, and I can’t wait to see her floor routine in QF’ing tomorrow :D

MAG/WAG So when is safe sport gonna investigate WOGA and Valeri?

I’m sorry, but we’re beyond the point of this being coincidental. There’s absolutely no reason why a back to back US AA champ should be getting injured at worlds. WHY are parents still sending their kids to Valeri?? I truly don’t understand it. WCC has shown how to correctly pace their gymnasts and they’ve already had so much success in such a short period of time, compared to the other gyms in TX. This has clearly become a pattern and I’m ashamed of the parents who don’t see this.

Real-Time Judging systems are currently in use for worlds. According to MTC President Andrew Tombs, it was first introduced and tested at the Glagow Commonwealth Games and further tested in Paris WCC a few weeks ago. The Technical committee will now be able to see the exact moment E judges apply deductions during routines.

WAG 2026 World Championships - Consolidated Team Previews and Metrics

Please see the comments section for links to the detailed previews of the Top 15 "realistic max" teams and the score trackers. Thank you for your engagement and insights with these preview posts and helping me get even more excited for World Championships!

"Realistic Max" Rankings

Difficulty Rankings

Definitions / Caveats / Assumptions

  • Realistic Max: The forecasted maximum team score based on the gymnasts' best international scores from 2025-26. Domestic scores were used here as a last resort if there were no representative international scores available. While France was only 0.364 shy of its "realistic max" in the 2023 team final, few teams have managed to even finish within 2 points of their "realistic max" rankings in the 2023 World Championships or 2024 Olympics. This is more of a measure of potential than it is of consistency and should be taken with a grain of salt; that said, coincidentally, this year, the teams with the three highest "realistic maxes" are also my predicted team final podium teams.
  • Intended Difficulty: The combined difficulty score of the team's intended counting routines based on D scores for which the gymnasts have previously received credit. Similar to the realistic max, this metric can be helpful in identifying a team's potential.
  • There are several upgrades that were shown in podium training (Iorio's Y1.5, for example), practice, or recent domestic meets but have not yet been competed internationally and therefore were not factored into this data.
  • Some gymnasts have competed much more frequently than others. Many gymnasts have only a couple of international scores from this quad, so their actual scores at World Championships could be wildly different than the above. For example, the relative "realistic max" rankings are likely to undersell Great Britain, a team I view as likely to make the final.
  • If Hezly Rivera is unable to compete at her full potential, the US' "realistic max" would drop to 167.196 and its intended difficulty would drop to 69.0.
  • My understanding is that Anufrieva has not yet arrived in the Netherlands, but did receive a visa and is traveling imminently. Russia's/WG2's "realistic max" assumes that Anufrieva will compete.
  • Based on podium training, Manila Esposito will not compete on vault for Italy and Italy's realistic max has been adjusted as a result.
  • Germany's realistic max still includes Jesenia Schaefer's FX of 12.8; Emma Malewski was named to the team instead and we have very few data points for her this quad. The guess is that Malewski could add a couple tenths on beam that could be offset by a couple lost tenths on floor and the overall "realistic max" should still be representative of Germany's potential.

Miscellaneous Notes for Teams w/ Realistic Max Ranks of 16th-24th:

  • Belgium: Lisa Vaelen has a handspring Rudi and could qualify for the vault final. The Belgians could also be quite solid on floor, with Vaelen and Vansteenkiste able to score into the mid-13's at their best.
  • Algeria: Kaylia Nemour is the gold medal favorite in the all-around and on uneven bars. She is also in the top tier of medal contenders on balance beam.
  • Romania: After finishing 7th at the 2024 Olympics, Romania will have four new gymnasts competing at World Championships. Sabrina Maneca-Voinea is an event final contender on balance beam and floor exercise. The team overall has solid difficulty on vault, beam, and floor.
  • Ukraine: This team has three uneven bars routines of at least 5.7 in difficulty and has tremendous potential on beam. In particular, keep an eye on Diana Lobok, who has the team's highest potential scores on uneven bars and balance beam and could be a surprise event finalist with her 6.0 difficulty on beam.
  • Switzerland: Lena Bickel should qualify to the all-around final and can score into the 13's on all four events.
  • Mexico: Mexico should have three Yurchenko 1.5's on vault and be competitive here; Victoria Mata is also training a Rudi.
  • Sweden: With a realistic max that would be over four points higher with Jennifer Williams, Sweden could be a threat to qualify a team to the Olympics next year if she can compete at full health at Euros and Worlds. Back to this year's team, Emelie Westlund has spectacular execution on uneven bars and floor exercise and her sister Nathalie should contribute the team's highest beam score.
  • Belarus / WG1: On uneven bars, Sofia Shtykhetskaya can score over a 14 and her ability helped Belarus exceed expectations at European Championships and qualify to the World Championships.
  • Malaysia: Rachel Li Wen Yeoh has a 6.3 intended difficulty on bars and could make the event final.
