As title says, I’m looking for a second character

Currently I’m a d2 Zato main, but want to try something new, before 2.0 I wanted to learn HC but with the current changes it doesn’t look that aggressive and focused into mixups, tried chipp but he bugs my mind with his speed

So I recently found the game guilty gear strive and I am thinking on buying it on my Nintendo switch (and its 50% off right now)but the thing about it that I never played this game gener and I am wondering if I would still enjoy playing it with zero experience?

It feels like he can just do whatever he wants at all times. I know people say dashblock and jump randomly but like that really doesn't help I always get anti aired or just eat chip damage. And when I get within a moderate range, he just either hits is 2p or jumps up and hits me. I play Bridget, and you think my buttons should be able to punish and counter, but it never feels like I can. It's really annoying because I encounter one like every 2 games and its pretty much a guaranteed loss every time. I can't play passive or I get chipped to death, I can't be aggressive because I'll get counter hit. So whats the answer?

Checked the dustloop for Sin and general stuff and I cannot find a mention anywhere, unless i missed it? What's technically happening is that for Sin's 5P, you can cancel it into another move while Sin's arm is fully outstretched (watch his elbow). So you can do 5P>c.S as a gatling-esque input, but only while the elbow is fully out, if not, the game won't read the input.

Not recorded, but you can loop 5P>microdash>5P across the screen if you want, it's kinda fun lol. Now in the video, my inputs are 5P>microdash>5P>microdash~FD, allowing me to defensively lunge forward. Is this a universal for 5P's? Can any other moves do this?

Hey there, been thinking about hoping into the Strive lately, but got a bit hesitant on the character part. I watched A.B.A.s trailer and she looked super fun gameplay and design wise, but then YT threw a few fresh tier-lists at me… Is that some kind of community meme or is she really THAT bad? Or maybe I should just stop worrying and pick her lol

I own all the DLC except for Jam and Robo Kai, but I don't mind buying them. So far I tried Leo and Ky in matches, but I was wondering if there are other characters people recommend. I know I can just try the characters, but I am the type of person that needs at least 100 hundred matches on a character to know if they click. So I am hoping to be led the right way.Any comment is helpful, thanks!

I've been playing for a while (40-ish hours, bronze 3, first fighting game) just for fun but after getting swept a few too many times I'm posting on here for any help, tips, things to consider while playing, that sort of thing.

I've watched "that one video" a few times now, but trying to put those ideas into practice in a game is kinda difficult (especially when I can't do half the special attacks I mean to, but that's a different problem).

This is from one of my better sets, 2-1.

I'm the Bridget, but I also play Gio sometimes (bronze 1).

Obviously winning, my rank, RP shouldn't matter to me so much. What's important is improving, but it's hard to stick with it when I see that number go down and I watch the other anime boy/girl/Testament do their little pose and catch phrase.

So I've been playing guilty gear strive for roughly 80 hours and I've been maining I-No for 30 of them.

I watched a few videos n such to understand her game plan but I'm having a hard time enforcing my mix up.

For example I do my note oki and start a hover dash and go for a mix up, here's where the issue is.

The low option, I just can't figure out how to properly do it as almost every time I try, I get hit out of it and I don't have this issue at all with the overhead options.

I know its purely a skill issue I'd just appreciate some tips or smth along those lines so I can better understand my issue.

X1 Plus: By Your Side is the only main GG game not to have ports to modern consoles, physically or digitally, so I wanna know if there's an emulator that can run that game so I can play it.
