Three month ago, a Reddit user reached out to me saying that, he would like to seek help in finding affordable and customizable furnitures in Foshan furniture markets and needing guidance. We set the plan up, met in person, toured in the market for a day, and ended up with orders made before they left back to HK.
This client is not those typical furniture buyers who traveled far away and stayed locally for a few days until finishing purchasing. They came with only one day, and clear purpose - They need one sofa, coffee table, dining table and chairs, desk, and bookshelf. Most importantly, all those have a strict dimension requirements due to the compact interior space of a normal flat in HK. That requires all those suppliers to provide a customizable service to the client, and fortunately we achieved this.
In case anyone is interested about the timeline: We met and shopped on 11st of July, made orders and paid deposit right away, and it normally takes 30-45 days for a supplier to prepare goods well, then they will ship the goods to a shipper's warehouse and all of them will be consolidated to be shipped to client's address. By the end of August, all goods were completed. In September, the goods were delivered to them without any defect and damage.

Hi everyone!
I'll be visiting Guangzhou from November 7–30 and would love to connect with expats and international professionals living in the area.
A little about me: I'm from Serbia, 20 years working in business, finance and relationship management. I'm currently exploring opportunities to connect European and Chinese businesses, so I'm interested in both the local business environment and everyday life in Guangzhou.
That said, I'm not looking to turn every coffee into a business meeting! I'd be happy to meet for tea, basketball, a walk around the city, or simply exchange experiences about living and working in China.
If you're in Guangzhou, or know any expat groups or meetups worth joining, feel free to leave a comment or send me a message.
Looking forward to meeting some of you!

Hello everyone, I’m travelling to Guangzhou in a few months, since I’ve heard that Guangzhou is a hotspot for shopping replicas. I was wondering if someone can give me any kind of advice.
As mentioned in the Title, I’m looking for good-quality replicas of the well-known Tabi boots/shoes from Maison Margiela. As of now, I’m not fixated on a special model.
And of course I’m aware that this is a sensitive topic and that I might have problems with local authorities going back home with them.
I’d be very thankful for any information/advice , and already looking forward to visiting this awesome city ;)

Visiting GZ in a couple months (foreigner). Where can I shop for a few audiophile items such as speaker cables, headphones, and small amps?
Not looking for wholesale… Just a hobbyist with some luggage space.

Hello!
I am a Canadian, who speaks some Mandarin but not good enough to read it or find my way around Guangzhou, and would like to meet a local who would be so kind to accompany me around the city for 1 or 2 days between Nov 1st - 2nd.
This is a business trip where I have some personal time to explore the city. This would be my 2nd time in Guangzhou where I’d love to check out a few museums and hit up a few places off the beaten path for local cuisine and understand what daily life is like instead of all the touristy areas. (Saw Bejing Road and Shamendao previously). If you happen to be a good conversationalist open to meeting a friend and doesn’t mind someone who asks a lot of questions cause I love to learn it would be great to find someone who could take me around on those dates. I’d love to hear what you would do and where you’d go for the day.
Feel free to DM me.

I'm not familiar with the Canton Fair, and was just curious if most people attend all three phases?
And, which is the most popular of the three phases?

Hey everyone! 👋
I’m visiting Guangzhou soon for the first time, and I’d love to hear your recommendations! I’m looking for suggestions for the following:
Head spas, body spas, and facials: Any good places you’d recommend?
Home appliances: Where are the best places to shop for home appliances?
Shoes and handbags: I’d love recommendations for good shopping areas or markets.
Makeup and beauty brands: I’m looking for good-quality, affordable makeup brands. I’ve tried Gogo Tales lip gloss before and really liked it, so I’m interested in discovering similar Chinese beauty brands. I’m also planning to visit Sephora, but if there’s a popular Chinese alternative, I’d love to know about it!
Halal food: I’m Muslim, so I’d really appreciate recommendations for good halal restaurants, especially Chinese, Indian, and Pakistani food.
Since this is my first visit, any other tips or recommendations for things to do, places to shop, or hidden gems in Guangzhou would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much in advance! ❤️

I have a Hong Kong company and nearly 35 years of business experience in China. I’m looking for a part-time assistant in Guangzhou or Foshan who speaks English and Chinese. Most work is by phone and WeChat, with factory visits when I’m in China. No experience needed—I’ll teach you to inspect goods and supervise container loading. This is a beginner role with a modest salary, discussed in person. Message me if interested.

Hi all,
I will be traveling from EU to Hongkong and then to Guangzhou. It is my first time in China. Is there another procedure if it’s your first time? Will it take more time? What are things that are different for me as a first timer compared to someone who’s already been in China before?
If I’m correct a visa is not needed for a short stay under 30days. Are there other things I need to do/know? Thanks a lot for thinking along!!
