I made this clip to celebrate the release of GE32.

GE32 is a free, unofficial mod on James Dansereau's PC port (github.com/jkdansereau/goldeneye-pc-port). It adds online multiplayer for up to 32 players, with bots. Modes: FFA, Team Deathmatch, Search and Destroy, Capture the Flag, Gun Game, License to Kill, Oddjob Hats and Catch Oddjob.

Download (Windows): https://popnoodler.itch.io/ge32.
You need your own US ROM; it isn't included and I won't link one.

The skating in the video is a separate experiment (Skate 3's physics running in GoldenEye), and it isn't part of GE32.

lmk if it works for you guys :)

As some of you may know, Perfect Dark has recently gotten an oveerhaul patch that adds misc quality of life improvements and ragdolls, it being the Perfect Dark CE and i LOVE IT! though playing through the missions also reminded me...What about Goldeneye? Im just wondering if there are any plans or mods in the works (or mods already made) that will add a patch to the Goldeneye PC ROM and make it have ragdolls. Could still run on the Perfect Dark updated engine, just want to experience Goldeneye with all the blood and ragdolls, any sort of help or discussion is appreciated.

Heya! Project Midas may be on its last update before a general launch window. Lots of tweaks and polishing has been done and we want to showcase almost everything we have to offer for 1.0
Expect an actual release date posted in the next few days.

Some details:

It's a fork of James Dansereau's GoldenEye PC port, which runs the original game's decompiled code natively on PC. All credit to that project for the base.

What I've added: online play for up to 32 players through a small relay server (one full-screen view each), Team Deathmatch and Search & Destroy, in-game chat, CoD-style spawns where you spawn armed, a pause menu, and a practice mode with bots that navigate the maps, open doors and use the original guards' aim.

Online works. I've tested with 12 clients so far; a proper session with real people is next.

Next up: bigger maps built from the single-player levels, with tanks.

It's a personal, non-commercial project and not public. There's no download, and I won't share ROMs or game files, so please don't ask. 🙂

Happy to answer questions about how any of it works.

Off topic but did y'all know you can play Wii GoldenEye online multiplayer again? Full lobby most nights...join Wii GoldenEye discord group for more info.

So i was messing around with the recomp of the XBLA version -- very cool stuff. Was wondering if there's a discord or group who want to play online. Curious is this runs any better than N64 Switch Online did, which was usually a stuttering mess. It says online play is built into it, but I wasn't sure if just no one was on or if I wasn't setting it up right.

A noclip style flythrough of every level. With some extras like fog, enemy + weapon spawns, and quick switch between the mission and multiplayer maps to see the differences.

Hi, I'm trying to figure out a controller solution for playing Goldeneye N64 ROM on Mac Tahoe.

I was using a Wiimote and Nunchuck with OpenEmu on an older Mac computer before and was decent at it. I could beat Aztec on 00 Agent.

But my Wiimote no longer works on Mac Tahoe because of Mac rewriting how its bluetooth works.

I tried buying an 8BitDo 64 controller, but I'm having a hard time with its control stick. I can't make it even a quarter of the way into 00 Aztec. I tried updating firmware but am still disappointed with the aiming and might get a refund on it.

Does anyone have a recommendation? Thanks.

Art and Games University catalogues and analyzes all the art and cultural subjects in games and I am pleased to share our newest episode on GoldenEye 007. Filled with info on the Soviet, Mesoamerican and Egyptian art throughout the stages as well as contemporary art and fashion found in the game. This research was informed by a generous interview with developer Brett Jones just before their passing.

Explore every single asset from GoldenEye 007 in my retro asset catalog website: characters, enemy heads, props, vehicles, levels, weapons, HUD, icons, etc. And all the animations as well. Check it out: https://library.pardallgames.com/news/2026-10-03-new-game-goldeneye-007-nintendo-64

How would someone go about making mods for this game?

Many of you might not have heard of AL64inthedark, but you probably remember him for the screenshots he captured with his face textured onto enemy soldier heads, which the photos would sometimes float around on posts about Goldeneye. Some people mistook his head model in the game as being real.

His name was Alain Buschenrieder and he was from Mulhouse, France. I recently discovered that he passed away in February of this year at age 43. If you search his name, French death notices linked to his name will pop up.

RIP Alain Buschenrieder (December 30, 1982 - February 12, 2026) You left a mark!

Basically my friend really likes goldeneye and decided to download an emulator on his iphone so he can play it anywhere with him. This video is one of the funniest moments he did while playing it(watch to the end I'm telling you it's worth it). Btw the emulation is quite decent
