I just had to have emergency spinal surgery during a big move.

We planned to buy a couch when we got into our new apartment but unfortunately all of our savings now has to go to an extremely large surgical bill (yay).

We have $200 and a large vehicle but would need help moving it as only my husband has no lift restrictions lol. The couch we tried to order post surgery coincidentally never arrived so it’s been a hot mess.

If you or anyone you know is trying to re-home a decent couch (no stains, rips, or weird smells- totally fine if it looks used) please let me know!

We are looking everywhere but are finding issues with people just wanting to sell and unavailable to help move (which is super valid but there is only one of us at the moment). Huge ask but I figured I would try!

We would take the W line to Golden for the hike. I am looking for someplace in Golden where we could storage our luggage for a few hours while we hike. Any ideas?

Hey Golden, I have a new local business and I’m working on getting the word out. My family and I have lived in Golden for 11 years. In that time, we’ve moved within Golden four times! I absolutely hate everything about moving. I know first hand that moving sucks, but I want to help.

I recently left my career in corporate sustainability to focus my time closer to home. I wanted to spend more time with my family but also get out from behind my desk and into the community. I plan to deliver and pick up within Golden, Lakewood, Arvada, Wheat Ridge, and Morrison. I’m fully licensed and insured. The three tenets of my new business are hyper local, zero waste, and community service.

This is also not doxing due to the public safety threat and the extensive publicly available police reports going back decades ]

HISTORY

1. Kathy Ma-URINE Brown was deemed incompetent 20 yrs ago. The town police that pick her up have few options with that status, so most choose to not pursue and she never faces any real consequence. She appears to avoid Denver proper. It is suspected that she has a history in Denver so she avoids it as Denver may actually engage social services and take real action that she is not interested in receiving. All suburban towns just play hot potato with her. I applaud Golden for being the only one as of late to even attempt to address her or her active warrants.

2. Mental Illness Talent* her special "flavor" is a fascination with excrement. She really is a full time bio terrorist. This is not a joke. She was once moved in, by the courts, to a brand new HUD building. She would hang out in common areas all day. She'd roll around on her walker smelling like spoiled cat litter. She preferred the common area restrooms even though she had a private studio with a full bath. She once placed her dirty diaper in the common microwave and it caught fire (imagine the smell of cooked and burned 💩?). Was finally kicked out(3 years total) after a stunt where she used her dirty poop diaper as a prop for performance art in the lobby. Her apartment was found to be decorated in used diapers. It explains why she wears those rather wide pants or long shirts. This is how she can reach in and pull her diaper back to allow the bodily elements to be released into someone's car. A few posts going back 7 years suggest she may have extra poop diapers in those Walmart bags. After all, she is a dedicated professional.

3. Denver West Address is legal address within a UPS Store (via public arrest records). That would explain her preference for JeffCo. It's also how she stays current on SSI requirements. Far West Denver on Colfax is not where someone opens a box if they don't have regular personal transportation. Zero reports of her ever asking to be driven to this particular area. Accomplice is husband named Ricky. Tricky Ricky stays in the shadows and is weaponized as part of the extortion scheme. Many people report that they have given into Kathy out of fear that the man she claimed was watching them may hurt them. No reports that Ricky has ever taken any action. It appears he is just transportation and there to pick her up wherever she lands after her payouts.

Hi everyone, my cat had a bad experience at Golden Paws animal hospital, and I'm looking for a new vet. Specifically I want someone who actually likes cats. I'd like to not have her taken out of my sight if possible, and I'd like it to be close so I don't have to stress my cat with a long drive.

Hi parents! We are looking for part-time daycare options in Golden (2-3 days a week) for our 13-month-old. We were interested in Thrive in Golden but their part-time days (MTW, TF) don’t work for us. We’ve had no luck interviewing nannies through an agency so we’re hoping to see if there are any part-time daycare options that people recommend. TIA!

I work 12 hour shifts on an alternating schedule (Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday week 1 and Wednesday, Thursday week 2) and I am looking to pick up a part-time job on one of my days off weekly to help supplement my income. I’ve been exploring ways to make sloped backyards more functional while keeping the design visually cohesive.

This project features multiple curved retaining walls with integrated steps that connect different levels of the yard. The curves help define separate planting areas while creating a softer, more natural layout.

The work is planned in two phases. The hardscape will establish the structure first, and next spring, we’ll add plants and flowers to bring color, texture, and life to the space.

The homeowner also wanted to improve the concrete entrance, so a new walkway was incorporated into the overall design.

I’m curious what others think: do curved retaining walls work better for this type of backyard, or would you prefer straight lines and a more geometric layout?
