Question Text from SmartRx Pharmacy following sign-up - what am I paying for?

Hey all!

I signed up for GenderGp yesterday to get T, filled out all the info and questions about gender.

This afternoon I get a text from SmartRx with a link to pay £68.50 for my prescription?

My hub page now says I have been assigned a dosage etc but Google said I'd need to have an IGS or 'Consent Check In' first- is this for that?

A great/confusing start to getting the hormones I've been desperate for for years lol :)

Question Could the recent PHP security vulnerabilities affect GenderGP?

With the recent news about the serious security vulnerabilities discovered in PHP and how widespread its use is across the internet, I’m starting to wonder whether services like GenderGP could potentially be affected.

I’m not particularly knowledgeable about this sort of thing, but from what I’ve read, it sounds quite concerning.
Has anyone else been wondering about this or heard anything regarding the situation?

Vent/Complaint Consent check-in

The hub for GenderGP is saying that I need to complete a consent check-in to access my testosterone. I have already completed this check-in years ago and have been on T for over 2 years. I've tried to get support about this but there seems to be no other way to contact them other than through the chat bot and this has proven useless. I don't have the money to spare for another consultation and I am running out of the T I already have. Has anyone else dealt with this? And how did you get it resolved?

Question Re-starting subscription - do you have to pay ALL missed subscription costs?

Hiya

I've recently had my care taken over by the NHS but knowing how the NHS can be, it would be nice to know I could re-start my GGP subscription and obtain a prescription if I ever needed to if there are any gaps in my NHS care or if it falls through entirely.

However, when logging into the hub (and seeing other people's screenshots on here) it seems to demand all missed subscription costs (showing as over £150 for me) to re-start treatment.

This doesn't seem fair at all. Why should I have to pay for time I wasn't using the service? They have not issued any prescriptions or done anything for me at all during the time my subscription's been cancelled.

Does anyone know a way to get around this? I get quite anxious about losing my NHS care so it would be good to know I have a backup, but I wouldn't be able to afford to pay for all the time I literally wasn't using the service just to start again.

Question We'll be in touch?

Post image
8 Upvotes

I went to check what date my next prescription will be issued, as it is soon, but all I see is this?

Should I just contact support just in case?

Today I discovered about the new hub layout, kinda miss the colours. But other than that, I'm just a little confused at this bit.

Edit: FantasyStar contacted support and it turns out that it is a glitch. Basically, contact support as soon as you can so you can get it sorted sooner rather than later.

Question Can’t get in touch with olympia pharmacy

So I got my first testosterone prescription on Monday, I got it sent to Olympia Pharmacy so I could get it delivered to my house. I paid the invoice that same Monday, and it’s now Thursday and I haven’t heard a word

As I said, this is my first prescription so I have no idea if this is normal or not however the pharmacy told me it’d be delivered next day, so I tried to ring them two days ago to ask for whereabouts however I think their phone lines are cut out. Whenever I call, I press the keypad to speak to an assistant and it’s ten seconds of silence before the phone hangs up. I’ve also emailed twice to try and get some sort of response or update as I need to know when to be home or at least know if it’s coming so I don’t miss the delivery, and i’ve had zero response

I’m honestly getting kind of worried because even after getting in touch with gendergp, they said there’s nothing they can do about it except give me a new token which would mean me paying for the prescription again

Has this happened to anyone else and is this normal please?

Vent/Complaint Paused my membership as there was no way to cancel it and they've changed the website and made it so I'm going to be charged again. This can't be legal can it?

I hope the people running this company rot because this is genuinely fucking evil.

Trans Masc Finasteride?

Do GGP offer to prescribe finasteride for preventing hair loss? I was hoping for the topical version since there’s supposedly less side effects.

Also if any of y’all took it what was your experience?? I’m super worried about going bald lol

Vent/Complaint They keep fucking up my dosage/ prescription 💀

So I am still relatively new with the service, so it could well be teething issues, but this is what happened initially (which I did make a post about before).

So I got prescribed testogel, and was advised to take one pump every other day. I was very confused by this as it is a very very low dose (which is not at all what I indicated wanting). I posted here, others agreed, and eventually, they got back to me saying that they had in fact got my dosage wrong and moved me up to two pumps a day.

I was kinda annoyed about this because it delayed my start on a full dosage, but whatever, didn’t matter too much. Issue was, now I was left with only one bottle which was too little for the actual dose, and so I had to get prescribed more.

So I eventually manage to get a token to pick up more gel, and I was prepared to pay for most likely one more bottle, potentially 2. But for some reason, they sent me THREE more bottles, which is a massive surplus considering my next prescription date AND since I’m switching to injections, so I won’t even be using gel. It was expensive asf and I won’t even get round to using it all, I’m tempted to just up my dosage (since I’m a month+ in with absolutely NO changes happening- like, not even the subtle small ones people notice within the first few weeks like energy/ mood changes). I just don’t know how they have messed up with both of my only prescriptions so far. Has anyone else had similar experience? does it kinda level out with time being with them?

Question Double payment???

I signed up with smartway (smartRX) home delivered prescription cause I’m lazy and couldn’t be assed to walk down to the pharmacy. They sent me through my payment link, I paid £95 for 1ml enanthate every 3 weeks. I was under the impression the £95 was for 3 months worth?

I got a months worth delivered and a note saying they can’t send more than a months worth at a time. Whatever not a big deal.

My next shots in a week and I emailed asking where the next lot was cause like, I need it? Didn’t hear back.

Got another payment link sent today for another £95. No way is 2ml 95 flipping quid. I emailed them again but still haven’t heard back.

QUESTION:
Am I being stupid and it really is just that ridiculously expensive or has someone messed up?

Edit: I literally JUST got an email come through, no way, that’s insane if that’s right considering my mates on sustanon and his is 60 for 3 months worth

Question How does the delivery service work?

I’ve got my electronic prescription email a few days ago, but since I’m stealth and with the people that don’t know I’m trans all the time, I don’t actually have any time to go dispense my prescription from boots like I usually do- so I was wondering how this whole Olympia pharmacy delivery thing it suggests in the email works- do I have to be at home for my delivery (like am I gonna have to sign for it?) cuz I’m not at home all that much recently so I don’t know if that would be a smart idea

Community Cancelled my GenderGP Subscription and I feel good

I have been with GenderGP for years and have seen this company go from seen as an okay way to get HRT to an embarrassing excuse for a private service which wants to be an overpriced social media do everything app instead of a capable private prescriber and while I could deal with that them raising their prices to £35.99 along with an extra £5 a month and extra £3 for stuff that used to be included in our prescriptions has led me to cancel my subscription. This added on to me finding out recently they charge US customers less to onboard and for their subscription as well.

I am someone who wouldn't normally do this, to give context I dealt with this company for years, I worked with them as a model, Helen (the founder) follows me on socials as do her daughter and other members high up in the company, I am advertised as one of the company's success stories and have seen how those high up in it flaunt their wealth while draining us fucking dry with their greed. I am planning on setting up a new subscription with a new company next month (either Imago or AnneHealth).

I was stressing about this a lot over the last few nights and I have to say to ANYONE thinking about going with GenderGP or you are with GenderGP try to change if you can.

If you've been on hormones for 2+ years Anne Health costs around £30 more a year but you get free bloodtests and free consultations meaning you're actually saving money. Or if you're new just go for Imago, it's a cheaper monthly cost but is more strict with bloods which while pricey is what you want for good care.

The set up cost for both is also cheaper than GenderGP.

GenderGP is an AI ran mess and I'm glad I'm done with it.

Question amps over multi-use vials?

I recently changed from testogel to testosterone enanthate and expected to get multi-use vials as my dose is 0.5 ml and the bottles were labelled as 1ml but i’ve been given amps instead.

Is there a way to change it to multi-use vials? the thought of throwing away a full dose makes me cringe 😭
