The Coalition did this one right.

This is the Best Gears game since Gears of War 3.
They bought back the horror of the locust while expanding on the locust and COGs lore. And the story is great, showing the confusion humanity had on E day.

They refined the classic gameplay mechanics while adding to it.

And graphically speaking it’s the best looking game on the Series x/s this generation. A true show case of how powerful the Series X is when developers actually optimize for its hardware.

My only gripe is I wish there was more diversity in gameplay. One of the things made Gears 2 campaign strong was you got to pilot different vehicles. A reever, Centar tank and a Brumach. The Raven minimum sections were good but I wish we also got to piolet a Raven Gunship and and use a Centar to ram through the city rubble and blow locust to bits

What was the story ramifications of having Queen Myrrah’s death open with her plump ass on the screen. Was it ever even explained how she had a nice pair of cheeks and was very bad

I love the little detail that the planet has 26 hours a day and 10 days a week!

7. Drill Instructor Clay has the letter Ben wrote to him in Gears 2, where we first even learned about the existence of Clay

8. Recruit Anthony actually has a "Most likely to get shot" sticker on his back

I think it's possible they'll look reminiscent of the Tactics "Retro" Onyx Guard helmet, or something entirely new like the rest of the Kalona COG Armor.

I think this must be the most underrated and unknown pilot in the entire series.

In the about 40 games i've played on Horde Siege most of them are laggy af, usually 1-2 second delays in some games, my internet is fine, i don't lag on any other game but the Horde Siege servers are something else entirely also could we address the Striga damage output, getting 1 bursted by it out of knowhere is pissing me the fuck off, i'm rank 28 with the Salt Dog armor playing on Infantry and i'm still taking a fuck ton of damage, Insane difficulty Campaign was easier.

There have to be some interesting permutations.

Ive had 5 matches in a row where most of my team is under level 10. You are sand bagging so hard. No you are not the main character. No you can not just bob and weave your way around. No you do not do damage to make a difference. Your max mod weapon means nothing.You are dead weight. Level your class first.

Next game we get this guy on the squad. Big fat fuck, maybe missing a few brain cells, maybe a bit on the spectrum. He barely speaks any words but kills locust over the promise of his next grilled cheese. And there you have it, COG boomer. Also known as a Coomer.

Love the new customisation. Critical hits are active reloads, no scope attached. 10/10 game

so if half your team is bots are you just shit out of luck? they just stand halfway across the map not contributing

I've been playing the game non-stop since it came out. I've been playing the campaign heavily since last week and this entire week. Just finished it with 2 random brothers and a bot.

Over the course of playing, I realized I actually like playing co-op with randoms more than solo with bots. It's just more fun with other people even if no one says a word. It really gives a sense of brothers to the end.

The story/plot was phenomenal. I really enjoyed it and kept on wanting to play. Dare I say, it's the best Gears campaign I've played (and I've played all of them). The characters were superb, and the pacing was exceptional. I really like how they leaned a bit into the horror genre. You really got a sense that the locust were almost unbeatable and scary.

In all the hours I put into it, I never once got frustrated or bored. I even went back to replay some chapters on normal difficulty to finish everything, because I thought that would be an achievement (it's not).

My only minor gripe is with the co-op. If the host leaves midway through a chapter, it doesn't save, so you likely have to redo the chapter. Joining a lobby in progress means skipping ahead most of the time and not really understanding what's happening in the story. It's a sneaky way to finish the campaign faster

The Coalition has really fucking cooked with E-Day. Gears is so back.

Im not going to sit there at the end of the match for 2 minutes for it to boot back to the lobby. When i back out, it should still be on whatever ranked playlist i was playing. This shouldnt be that hard for a AAA studio.
