One of my favorite books... NSFW
In addition to being an enthusiastic nudist, I'm also a voracious reader. I've always loved books and devour them by the dozens every year. Novels, poetry, comics, history, science, anything.
Want to read something *really* unusual and offbeat? Allow me to recommend one of my all-time favorite non-fiction books: “Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers" by Mary Roach. It explores the history of how human bodies have been used in science after death.
Sounds grim, right? Well, just hold on -- here's the first paragraph:
"The way I see it, being dead is not terribly far off from being a cruise ship. Most of your time is spent lying on your back. The brain has shut down. The flesh begins to soften. Nothing much new happens, and nothing is expected of you."
😂
The book is educational, poignant, gruesome at times (delicate souls be forewarned) but also hilarious per the above excerpt, but also always respectful of those have voluntarily (or, in some cases, *involuntarily*) bequeathed their remains to further human knowledge. It's a unique, original, and (despite the subject matter that might be off-putting to many) a surprisingly fun read.
Also, an obvious nudist connection - cadavers are usually naked, right? 😉

#group events: irl or virtual Nudist Halloween SW PA NSFW
Hey y’all, my partner and I are fairly new to the nudist scene and we’re wondering if there’s any fun ways to spend Halloween both naked and not. We live in Pittsburgh PA, and I’ve talked/met a couple of people but don’t know anyone who would be throwing a party or anything.
We’d always be down to make new friends and friend groups. Let me know if you guys have any advice or suggestions.
