On October 14, Microsoft announced that it was looking to hire an Xbox Games Supply Strategist for its Supply Chain team.

This strategist, according to Microsoft, will “coordinate the launch of physical Xbox games across all platforms, lead development & oversee execution of global supply positioning strategies across all stages of the product lifecycle, ensure that inventory is positioned to deliver working capital/cost/service goals, and oversee the sales & channel execution of those games.” They will also work closely with various groups within Supply Chain “to establish & manage supply and sales plan of record.”

In essence the patent describes an Auto Encoder model that takes previous frames, motion vectors as well as user input as input for the model, and attempt to generate the next frame before a new one is rendered.

This is similar to Frame Generation, but FG requires the next frame to already be rendered before generating the in between frame, which does create some inevitable lag.

At the same time Frame Extrapolation is much harder to get right, which is why it is not available even on PC as of now, so remains to be seen if it turns out into something by the end.

This seems to indicate those didn't pre order and are instead waiting to buy might receive versions of the 40th anniversary hardware with user-replaceable batteries, while those who pre ordered already are stuck with the opposite.

Insider Gaming has learned that Grand Theft Auto 6’s review estate will go live before the release on November 19. This may come as a surprise to some, as plenty of gamers out there believed that GTA 6 would not have any reviews. It’s hardly the kind of game that needs to be reviewed, but the fact still stands that it will happen, and the content will drop before the game is in your hands (digitally).

While we have also learned the preliminary review embargo, we won’t be sharing that information as it’s subject to change in the run-up to the game being released.

• Lucia enter's Kurt's Barber Shop for a hairstyle change, NPC reacts to her outfit with a bike helmet on. Lucia's voice sounds realistically muffled when she speaks with the helmet on.
• The song played in the barbershop is La Romana by Bad Bunny & El Alfa
• 9 hairstyles shown with 5 different colour options and a unique "creative style" which I assume is specific to individual barber shops. The unique style for this shop is called "Platinum-Pink Ombre Straight Lob"
• While robbing the cash register, Lucia picks up a joint which can be used under the "Cigarettes & Drugs" tab on the item wheel
• Smoking the joint reduces your health but gives the "Focus Overpowered" buff
• Focus mechanic shown which "helps to locate the sources of noises" and a mission on the minimap for "MC" that pops up for a brief second

The Steam Frame kernel source code appears to contain references to another, in development headset with OLED panels, referred to as Plano. The panels appear to have a resolution of 3552×3840 and a refresh rate of 90hz, the same panels that are in the Samsung Galaxy XR. However the output resolution seems like it will be lower due to physical limitations of the Steam Frame’s chip.

According to VGC, Ubisoft plans to propose closing RedLynx, the Finnish studio behind the Trials series, affecting around 52 employees.

VGC understands that RedLynx currently has no active project and that downsizing alone would not make the studio sustainable.

Meanwhile, Ubisoft plans to restructure and downsize Ubisoft Singapore, resulting in approximately 70 layoffs.
The proposed RedLynx closure is subject to mandatory change negotiations with employees in Finland.
